This thing is amazing. The suction is so good I’m sure it could suck a golf ball through a garden hose. I have two stories of hardwood floors, and I can not believe the dirt it got up. The suction on this almost makes it hard to move the wand across the floor, it’s that strong. The wand is metal, and telescopes into itself for height adjustment. The body of the vacuum is plastic, but feels fairly durable, and it glides across the floor very easily. It is easy to empty the canister, just open it over a trashcan and give it a shake and you’re done. It comes with a red cloth bag for the attachments, which include a crevice tool, a thing for getting pet hair off furniture, a brush, and another floor attachment. The hose is sturdy and doesn’t feel like it will collapse on itself. I feel like this is comparable to a Dyson in terms of suction, but at half the price point. If you are hesitating on getting this, just do it. TREAT YO SELF.

Oh HAPPY Day! I really LOVE this good quality (often you get what you pay for) vacuum!! It has great suction, the handle on the cord is made of METAL (not plastic) making it a sturdy w/o possibility of breaking. The vacuums body is small and moves about easily. I have ALL hardwood & slate floors, so this is PERFECT with what my purpose was in buying it…(I don’t have carpet) but it would be fine used on throw rugs. I also bought it to vacuum out my car, and again, it’s a “perfect” size with moveable ease around the vehicle while vacuuming it out….so, I give it 5 if not 10 stars…b/c I’ve bought so many vacuums over the years, but this one is the best yet! Oh, and cherry on the top- It’s bagless!!! I also tried it out on cob webs on my ceilings and under stuff…swoosh, gone….easy! It came in 2 days of ordering, too!

My family thinks I have an obsession with vacuum cleaners. I won’t argue there. I am extremely particular. Would I use this vacuum for carpets? No. Small throw rugs? You bet. You’ll have to adjust the suction on the handle to do so, however, because this thing SUCKS. Which is a darn good quality in a vacuum. Small profile, handy slot to stand up the handle (yay!), and retractable cord. Small head to fit under and around anything. You will not find a vacuum that has a head that small that is carpet capable. Period. Excellent quality. Even my husband was blown away by the performance. Love it.

I’ve been using a Dyson V6 Absolute (which cost me almost $800) for the past seven years and it has been slowly breaking down (charge wasn’t lasting long enough to finish any job, the plastic pieces were breaking off, the filters weren’t working, etc.). So, after struggling with what is supposed to be a high-end hand-held vacuum for the past few years, the Severin vacuum is a HUGE improvement and so far I’m very pleased with it.
The suction on the Severin is amazing. For years I’ve had to hand-remove dog hair (I have two, 100-pound, white, long-haired dogs) from the bottom legs of our dining room chairs – but no more! The Severin literally sucks the dog hair off the felt pads with ease. I cleaned our truck and the suction really did a great job picking up all the dog hair stuck to the rugs and upholstery as well as easily cleaning up all the small gravel.
Other reviewers mentioned the lack of a powerhead but this is isn’t an issue for me as we have no rugs. The suction is so good with the handheld attachments that our couch was clean in no time flat. The floor attachments works great. When I accidentally put the one attachment on for rug, I could barely get it unstuck from the laminate flooring. 😀
Just a couple things that might be problematic in the future:
1. Just like the Dyson V6, the plastic on the Severin seems hard and cheap – like it may snap or crack.
2. The vacuum hose itself seems very lightweight. I can see it kinking and twisting – maybe even getting whole in it – in the future.
All-in-all I think this vacuum is awesome for the price we paid. We’re happy with it.

Love this vacuum. Suction is great, it is lightweight. Cons- the hose is a bit stiff and can be annoying to try and work with.
Sometimes the cord gets caught up in a wheel, as the space around the wheel is just wide enough for this to happen.
I wish the cord was about 5 feet longer.

Very happy I bought this. I’ve used lots of vacuums over the years and this one has the best suction of any of them. Excellent for picking up cat litter off my laminate floors as well as the cat hair on my furniture. Love that it is bagless and that the filter is washable. Easy to take apart the canister to keep clean. Only downside is a short cord, but not a deal breaker considering the power this has.

I spent a lot of time reading reviews of vacuum cleaners before purchasing this one. I had an old Eureka canister I had been dragging around for years and knew it was beyond time for an upgrade. I was interested in getting a bagless model and didn’t want to spend a fortune. I also didn’t want some huge thing because my storage space is limited. I decided on the Severin and couldn’t be more pleased. It is a nice compact size, very quiet and the red retractable cord is adorable. The suction is great – the first time I vacuumed, it was actually pretty scary how much it picked up. I am not a pet owner so I don’t deal with pet hair but it is very capable of dealing with everyday dust and dirt. I have predominantly wood floors with rugs, no carpeting. I would suggest emptying the dirt container outside if you can cause there is definitely dust flying around when you do it but this is a small inconvenience. Highly recommended.

While the suction on this was good and the noise level low, when I tried to remove and empty out the canister, I was unable to do it. Stuck. Then a neighbor came to help, somehow got it out, and when he put it back in, the two tiny pieces of cheap plastic that were apparently holding the canister in broke right off. Mind you the vacuum cleaner is supposed to be carried with a handle on the canister, not the vacuum itself. Really dumb design. To build a product like this and use the cheapest, flimsiest plastic to support an important function is ridiculous. I now have a new vacuum cleaner that has to be held together by several layers of duct tape, that I can’t pick up, and that I have to un-tape and put new tape around every time I need to empty it. Too late to return. Don’t buy this. It’s expensive for a badly designed and immediately breaking machine.

Okay, I am a vacuum fanatic. I go through one every year and have not been able to find one that fit my needs. I have a good vacuum that I use for floors, but a room is more than floors. So having one that was lightweight to carry up the stairs and the ability to reach into small places was a must. This cute little vac has got great power and oh, so quiet. So here is how it went down. Ordered, received on time, husband groaned. Enlisted hubby to put it together and to take it upstairs for me. The next thing I know he is vacuuming all those hard to reach places like vents and the window blinds. I stood back. He was smiling and I heard words like “Wow” a couple of times. By the way, my senior husband never looked more sexy! You know what I mean ladies. He turned it off and told me, “I had scored”. The ease of use, quiet motor and the suction was huge on his list. He mentioned something about taking it into his garage. (Not going to happen.) All in all it gets the job done and is easy to store. Would definitely recommend this little gem.

I took the Severin vacuum out of the box and started cleaning. It was incredibly easy to put together, and I had cleaned the floors and baseboards all over my small house in about 30 minutes. The suction was strong, as advertised, and it was, BY FAR, the QUIETEST vacuum I have ever used. Even my vacuum-hating husband commented on its lack of noise. I am looking forward to years of quiet cleaning!

Jusqu’à présent, je suis très satisfait. Le pouvoir de succion est impressionnant, tellement qu’il est même parfois difficile de déplacer la tête à plancher. Ça prend un peu d’ajustement afin de trouver l’angle idéal. La brosse à tapis est un ordinaire par contre. Elle n’enlève pas les poils de mon chien aussi bien que j’aimerais. Bon rapport qualité/prix.
