I’m using this balun as dual-stereo audio instead of composite video. That said, I don’t think it should make a difference, as it is four channels of balanced analog signals that get tied to each of the four twisted pairs of Cat5e wire. It works, but I get crosstalk. eg, if you plug into channels red and blue, you’ll hear those channels on green and orange on the other side.
Note: This is sold as one balun, not a pair.

I needed to send a 1080 signal around living room to large screen LCD. I had and unused Cat 5 in the wall that was originally placed as a possible IR remote run to operate the AV receiver. I found this product on Amazon, purchased and installed. I did split the component signal out of back of single component output on the receiver. The component signal then feeds into C5-HDP and the Cat 5 run is in the wall with about a 40 foot total run length. Same connection other end with Cat 5 into C5-HDP with component into 65″ LCD. I am very pleased with the picture. My eyes can not see any quality difference as compared to other 1080 signals that feed into the same LCD. This device can send a digital audio. I did not test / use the audio. I still use the surround speaker system from the AV receiver.

Worked Great, just as it is supposed to do. Great for long runs in a commercial setting to still get near HD quality. These were used in a restaurant/bar setting with high volume for watching sports and worked exceptionally well.

Very handy for setting up speakers for a large conference room. Epson projector did not have internal amplifier so this product worked perfectly. Remote control works very well!
