They work perfectly. If you find that the default button timing set (say 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 minutes) does not work out, you can choose from 4 or 5 other sets. And, you can buy other switch covers with button label sets to match. (My opinion… new switch covers are expensive (relative to the original cost), so just buy a blank one and live with it.

Retrofitted these throughout my house to run the “whole house” ventilation fan system we have that kept always being left on. They install and work perfect. IMPORTANT NOTE: these switches require there be a neutral ran to the box, not just a load and line! I lucked out on that one myself – didn’t pay attention to that before hand. Also, I got these because they were rated for up to 1hp. That is overkill for our fan but better on the safe side.

An easy install, and great for bathroom exhausts or dryer exhaust booster fans. No more forgetting to turn the fan off!

I installed this for my garage lights. Installation was easy, just turned off the breaker, popped out the old switch and put in this one. I also have a switch by a door so this was used for a three-way application, which I did purchase the recommended coordinating remote switch (VP0SR-10Z) The functionality of the remote switch is not really described and I will review that independent of this review (But essentially all the remote can do is tun on the lights at the same previously selected interval, it can not be used to turn off the lights immediately which is fine for me). I would recommend this product for sure.

Is running my bathroom fan.
Installation was pretty simple.
Now I just press a button, shower and then I can leave it on to exhaust any additional humidity out of the room for an additional 15 minutes.
This one is also programmable so you can reduces the times the buttons have, NOT per button, but based on what their other timers do. (google for it’s instructions)

Installed this October 2012 in the bathroom fan that gets the heaviest use in our home. A few weeks ago it started buzzing like crazy at start then eventually would settle down. It seems that Leviton was in denial initially about quality issues with this product, but now they are replacing them no questions asked. Based upon other reviews here I called their support number 800-824-3005 press 3, and they took my address, etc. and are shipping me a replacement. I have 3 more of these around my house, so time will tell how they hold up.
Update 11-9-14: The new replacement they sent me lasted about 7 months. It’s buzzing loudly now like the first one. I guess I’ll have to call again and see if they’ll send me another one.

Living in Hawaii is great, but the shower can easily grow mold. So, I installed a damp-rated fan on the ceiling of the shower enclosure and attached this switch to control it. I turn it on (usually for one hour) before going to bed, and the fan dries out the shower, then turns off. Perfect!!! Looks great, works perfectly!

These work really well and are easy to install. I keep installing them because they only last 2-5 years before they start making an increasingly louder and louder buzzing noise and finally fail.
But they are good while they last. We use them on light and bathroom fans.

They are great — until they fail with the fatal buzzing. I have installed at least 4 of these — and reinstalled at least that many within the (5 year) warranty period after they fail with buzzing. While the warranty process is opaque, a replacement does eventually show up, but it is worth buying a spare to replace while you wait for the warranty replacement to show up.
I am writing this review because another one has failed and I am about to replace it. I hope that they fixed the problem and this will be the last time.
Note that this timer requires a neutral. If you don’t have a neutral in the switch box, you need a different style of timer.

easy to install
worked fine . . AT FIRST, but in about 9 months it failed. the initial reason I had to purchase it was the original switch began making a clicking sound – and the heater wasn’t going on. when I replaced the old with the new (EXACT same manufacturer/model #) the new one worked like is should: no clicking sound and the heater went on. interestingly, this is a dual heater system and the other switch (installed about 5 years ago) has been flawless.

works great, my roommate always left the fan on in the bathroom, and now he can’t! the led light moves with the time (for instance, if it was set to 2 hours, after an hour the light moves down to the 1 hour mark) so you always have an idea of how much time is left. there is an always on function, however w/o the instruction manual it’s impossible to know. which is great for my electricity bill!

This switch was purchased to replace an older Leviton Model timer (6260M) switch. My older whole-house fan worked fine and had a fan speed switch on the “Load” side of the timer. Unfortunately, this switch seems to be very voltage sensitive, as the timer only works properly at the highest fan speed setting (presumably, highest voltage). If the speed switch is turned to low, the timer turns on of it’s own accord. If you depress the timer’s off button it turns itself back on in about 3-4 seconds. If you then turn the fan speed switch to it’s highest setting, everything works as it should. A rather poor design……

This switch takes up a lot of room in the electrical box. I had to replace my old box with an “old work” deep box because the switch would not fit. The circuits in the box continued to another outlet, so that there were three Romex cables, not just two, in the box, hence the overcrowding.
