Got this for my 5 year old. I was torn between this red Flash Rider and the blue one. I was told the only difference was the red one had the lever you can pull to make sparks. I was also told and read reviews that this spark lever is really very cool. I must say I was hesitant to get this for my son. It sounded like the bike spun all crazy and I guess I’m a worry wart and didn’t want him to get hurt. 🙂 So my thoughts. He LOVES this bike. It didn’t take him long at all to figure it out. He loves to spin out and it isn’t as crazy as I thought it would be. His 7 year old cousin is from the country and will ride a horse but a bike like this he was actually scared of. I guess b/c it doesn’t have brakes and he didn’t know how to stop himself. My son kept pushing him and telling him not to be afraid and to just spin. He finally got the hang of it and had a lot of fun riding it, even though he was a lot more “tame” on it than my 5 year old. As far as the spark feature, I am told it will tear the heck out of your driveway. Maybe I was misinformed?? So we have not used it (yet) and being concerned about it marking up my driveway, we probably never will. So maybe the blue bike w/o the spark feature would have suited us better. All in all, it’s a fun bike. Sure wish I had one growing up!!

You do have to assemble it. I hate assembling anything; however, it is not that bad. I didn’t get frustrated. However, the spark handle, no matter what we did, it did not fit in a way that you would be able to use it. It was too low and already hitting the ground, so you cannot pull it to produce the sparks. That was very disappointing, but we decided to not assemble the bar and use it like that.

The tricicle is super fun. It spins really nice and the kids love it. The material is very durable and it can still be used by a 12 or 13 year old that fits, if not too tall. I highly recommend it. Maybe we just got a reject when it comes to the spark handle because the reason as to why we bought it is because we saw it at a relative’s house and we really liked it, with handle and all. Spark handle or not, it is lots of fun.

We purchased this for our sons to ride and they absolutely LOVE it! We’ve had it for 7 months and they still ride it several times per week.

    PROS:
    Built well
    Fun Color
The 360 degree movement is unique and my kids can’t seem to get enough spinning on this thing!
    Smooth ride
    Easy to drive
Holds a wide range of sizes (I even rode it and am 5’2″ – which was stretching it, but I was able to maneuver it)

    CONS:
The back wheels wore down after only two months of use. I’m not sure if they were defective or what, but they white “tire” part broke off in chunks making the ride very rough and we all know what it’s like to ride with a flat spot on a wheel. Remember the “Big Wheels” from the 70’s & 80’s that had the flat spots from all the skidding we did? Same type situation here…

I will say that I contacted Razor about the problem and they sent out some replacement wheels for us. While they weren’t the correct size, we put them on anyway because our sons were itching to get back on the thing and spin around the driveway. They were smaller than the wheels that broke apart, but seem to be holding up better than the originals.

This is an awesome product and lots of fun for kids who love to ride. I would have given it 5 stars if the wheels had not been an issue. We love this thing!

Awesome…Awesome… the kids go crazy over it and the sparker is very cool but buy extra… was looking for a gift that didn’t take batteries… This is perfect, they ride for hours, lots of fun… If you live in a neighborhood it will get all the kids out of the house… My 11 yrs daughter enjoys it but it may be little small for her next summer – she’s an average size kid but has been riding it like crazy this summer.

These are fun! My kids love it (like fight over it, love it). Me, however; I may or may not have mini (or full blown) panic attacks every time I see them quickly spin out into the circle, with sparks flying all around them. Oh the joys!

Bought as a Birthday gift for my 6year old grandson
he loves it and is having tremendous fun whizzing around
We can pop it into car easily to transport, so will be able to use it in the park and on the downs etc

the instructions were easy to follow and the machine went together well until we tried to connect the sea, the holes were not exact, however a little bit of patience and we got there

    A nice sturdy machine

My little boy wanted one for his birthday and wish I hadn’t bothered . After using for 15 minutes the spark bits came out and wouldn’t go back in and I had a very upset boy . After all to an 8 year old it’s all about the cool sparks . He was so upset . AVOID if you want the sparks to last longer than 15 minutes

I would give this 10 stars if I could. These are so fun, even I, a 32 year old mom, rides them. I only wish they made them in adult sizes. Not kidding!

First, it’s easy to assemble. I don’t like assembling things, but it wasn’t hard at all.

The spark bars don’t seem to last very long but the best part of these is all the spinning any way. Our neighbors had a couple, so I bought one, then another. Now our whole neighborhood has them! Ha! They are just the best.

If you want to get your kids out of the house, get these. They never want to be inside!

Lots of fun and my son loves it – however it will not ride straight down our sidewalks and is difficult to steer on even the slightest on uneven surfaces. Since we don’t have an open area with perfectly flat ground it is not easy to ride and my son will chose his old big wheel over the razor every time. I’m hoping it will eventually get some use because right now it just sits unused in the garage.

We got this for my grandson for his 6th birthday. He loved it (watch video) No instructions need (on how to ride that is) Putting it together was easy (for an adult) Feels like it’s built to last.

It’s cute we couldn’t get him to understand that the lever was not a brake, that it was a spark bar for outside. He kept trying anyway.

I might add, the picture (not mine)makes the cycle look pink. It is not. it is red. Which I was hoping for.
