I thought I purchased an 8-pack Quad A Battery from Best Buy but it was actually a Insignia™ – AAAA Batteries (12-Pack) so I was happy with that.
I do not know how long batteries last when in packaging (usually until 2023/2024) so hopefully they retain their charge over the next couple of years.
The HP Elitebook x360 1030 G2 Active Pen works with one Quad A Battery plus two smaller batteries (smaller than LR-44 on the cap end).
I use it for work so it is the cost of doing business (I never asked if they would provide us with batteries.).
Overall, an excellent package.

Works very well in my microsoft surface pen. I have used for about 3 weeks and I have been using the pen for 3-5 hours daily.
