The dimensions ensure that only the pages from this notebook will fit in the folder pockets. All handouts,A4, normal sized papers, have to be folded in half and the pockets lose any value. So the pockets just sit there all empty and lonely with their uniqueness:)

I bought two of these to replace the ones I filled in my previous grad school program. I paid [$] each because these have always been the only notebooks that had large enough pockets to accommodate letter sized paper. No more! I don’t know who decided to cut corners on these, but my letter sized syllabi and handouts no longer fit in the smaller pockets, making these no better than the 99 cent notebooks I swore off years ago. These went from five-star to one-star notebooks with that size change.

I like FIVE STAR products, but sadly I have to say two thumbs down. I too bought this for my grad school class. Regular size paper does not fit in the folder 🙁 , so what’s the point in having a folder.

Thought this would be a great spiral for my son but could not believe that a normal 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper will not fit in the pocket. What were they thinking when they made that design decision? I’m returning these.

I’m one of the few people, it seems, who really like wide-ruled notebooks. In the other places I’ve bought notebooks, the wide-ruled are limited to those without pockets, and fairly flimsy covers, so I was very glad to find these, and have bought several.
