    1: wowzers these things are sized small. Ordered what I thought would fit based on the website description, and these wouldn’t fit our Christmas elf, let alone my 12yr old daughter.
    2. What clown doesn’t allow returns, for any reason. There needs to be a better way. I’d like to exchange them. Nope. Not eligible for exchanges or returns. I am quite peeved. Next time I’ll save myself the aggravation and just light a $20 bill in effigy

    I have never written a review despite having purchased hundreds of products from Amazon. This particular product, however, left me feeling quite compelled to do so.

    I spend my life (almost literally) crawling around in confined spaces aboard various types of vessels. I am constantly either on my knees, hitting them, or committing some other form of self abuse. I have worn knee pads before, but they quickly became uncomfortable and eventually unbearable. The ones I have previously tried would never stay in place and chafe the backs of my legs with straps.

    I was lucky enough to come across these a few days ago. I have so far put them through three 10 hour days of crawling, climbing, kneeling, and maybe even a little running. They have stayed in place and have been exceedingly comfortable. The only very small quasi almost problem I have had is the top seam. It can become a little irritating after a whole day of work, but only because it’s doing its job of staying put. I would liken it to the elastic waist on pants that are a little too tight.

    I hope this is helpful. These kneed pads have greatly enhanced my work experience, and I can only assume they would be great for sports.

    Amazing product. I’ve only used it once but it definitely had an impact on my game. I wasn’t afraid to do risky moves and landing badly.
    For those of you wondering what size to order, these are the numbers in the package.

    25-30 cm = S
    30-36 cm = M
    36-41 cm = L
    41-48 cm = XL

    My kids play basketball and love these knee pads. I recently bought 4 of these from Amazon and one of the items I received was 100% fake!

    It had McDavid packaging and McDavid logos but the material, stitching and quality was not like the other McDavids. The real McDavids I received all have a white-ish backing inside and good stitching. The fake one had black backing with wide edges sticking out, junky “hexagon” stickers that can move around and bad fit/material that slides instead of staying in place. It took my child about 10 seconds to feel it was terrible quality, take it off and refuse to use it again.

    Thankfully Amazon makes it very easy to return the item and get a refund.

    The picture I uploaded is of the FAKE McDavid, check it out! When you receive your knee pad, flip it over and check the backing. The real one has a light colored backing with nice wide stitching and is well trimmed. if you receive one that looks like the one pictured, send it back.

    Good kneepads but very disappointed that they don’t provide a thigh circumference measurement in the chart. I’m a professional dancer and I have skinny calf’s and larger thighs due to my training. I’m slightly annoyed as I now have to return the pair of kneepads, even though the size I bought (medium) was correct for my knee and calf circumference as instructed by their charts. I also now have to fork out more money in order to get the larger size. More information on the sizing of the kneepads would be very welcome.

    Beware! The sizing is inaccurate for youth. These will fit a slender elementary child. I had an issue with returning them, but customer service went above and beyond to help me out. I’m repurchasing a small adult for a 6th grader. Material and padding is pretty nice.

    I bought these as I practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and have bad knees. They are excellent. I attended a weekend camp with 6 hours of seminars on each day and they held up amazingly. They will eventually come down in a long rolling session, but to be fair anything that you can wear/put on your body will eventually slide off during grappling sessions. They also offer compression but I have attached a picture of sizing chart on back of box (which appears to be accurate) because as stated in other reviews the one online is incorrect.

    I bought these after suffering a swollen knee at work. The plan is to use them for mud runs such as Tough Mudder, Total Warrior etc.
    Following the measurements I bought large, they are tight on my thighs and tend to work themselves down too easily. I have worn them over running tights and over my 4 mile run they only came down a bit, uncovering the top of the knee, they would need to be pulled up before/after crawling through the mire, not easy with gloves or muddy hands.
    The padding is great, I wear them for jobs around the house that involve kneeling and they’ve protected my delicate knees so far.
    Great protection and comfort but they do slip down. Maybe I need a bigger size?

    I’d originally ordered the size small for my 12 year old son based on the product picture showing sizing. His knee measured 13″. However when I received it the small was far too tight and he couldn’t get the pad up to his knee let alone over it. We requested an exchange for a medium and this was dispatched quickly and fits him perfectly. Inside the packaging is a care/sizing label. This one states Small 23-31cm/9-12″, Medium 31-41cm/12-16″, Large 41-51cm/16-20″ & XL 51-59cm/2–23″. I think these measurements are much more accurate and would suggest you base your purchase on this, not the picture advertised. He’s used the pads for basketball and says they are very comfortable

    I’ve had to buy so many pairs of these. They last as long as they don’t actually have to be used to protect the knees or elbows. As soon as they touch the floor, they open up. I like the feel and I understand that they are comfortable because they are thin but they can be designed to last for more than a few games. Local stores want 40 bucks for these. Even at 25 bones they are too much if they don’t last. If I add it all up, I probably have about 200-300 wrapped up with all of the pairs I’ve purchased just for basketball, and I don’t over-abuse these, believe me. If you’ve read the other reviews you already know what I mean

    I’m giving these just one star because I tried the size medium on and quickly realized they are way too small. Then I noticed that the size chart shown here on amazon was different from the size chart shown on the box. I’m hoping to contact Hex to fix the issue and hopefully be able to improve this review 🙂

    Just finished a 12 mile Tough Mudder and from other reviews I thought I’d be throwing them away at the end of the race. Instead they held up and I don’t see any issues or wrips in the material.

    They did slip down when running so I would just pull them down while running and pull them back up when I came to an obstacle.

    There is a lot of knee abuse in an OCR event. I’m glad I had these. Going to do another Tough Mudder on two weeks and plan to use the same pair again and am buying a pair for my wife to wear too.

    UPDATE: ran the second Tough Mudder and they pads are still in good shape along with my knees. This one was in Vegas on a very rocky course. I thought for sure they’d be going in the trash after the race but instead I’ll be using them again!

    The product is good for protection. The only issues I have is their website for sizes doesn’t match the actual sizing on the box.
    On box:
    S=10-12″, M=12-14″, L=14-16″, XL=16-19″, 2XL=19-22″

    website
    S = 13-14.5″, M 14.5-15.5″, L 15.5-16.5″, XL 16.5-18.5″, XXL 18.5-21″

    I followed the website. Well it is incorrect. The size on the box is correct. As such, the size I ordered is smaller. Fortunately, my daughter was able to use it. Now I have to buy another one for my son.
