Started off using it with a usb c to hdmi cable coming from my laptop definitely do not recommend that. Switched to hdmi and order a Display Port cable. HDMI worked great but in hdr the image was to dark and a very noticeable yellow tint to the whole screen. Finally got the DisplayPort cable and everything worked way better. HDR was better, imagine was a lot better. Still have a yellow tint but not as noticeable. Definitely need a display port cable for its full potential especially if your buying it for g sync. It has a couple picture modes my go to was vivid. You can adjust black levels and response time or just cycle through game modes. Definitely happy with this monitor HDR to me is a lot better then other monitors. Almost TV quality. The only thing I don’t like is the anti glare layer having that yellow tint but once the game is playing I hardly notice it. I played in both light and dark settings and had no issues

I tried to run HDMI to Display port with the PS5 and the monitor isn’t registering it. I’m getting an error code saying check DisplayPort settings and that it doesn’t match the device(PS5) settings. I wanted to run 120hz. Sucks that it doesn’t. I tried all the settings on the monitor and it didn’t work.

Great monitor, but hang on to your receipt in case of defects. I had to return mine after having two separate issues with vertical lines of color blocking out my screen. Power cycling the monitor removed the lines after a few cycles, but left ghosting lines that returned to full color after a few days even when disconnected from my PC.
I ordered the same model as a replacement, very happy with it other than the QC issue described above. Colors, resolution, and refresh rate are excellent for gaming at this price point.

Overall, this is a decent display. I got two of them as I didn’t want mismatching monitors. One of them has some moderate backlight bleed in the upper right hand corner. I can live with it as you can really only see it when there’s solid black on the display (and I’m used to monitors with even worse bleed). It’s a little irritating, but not totally unexpected with an IPS display. I’d return it, but it isn’t bad enough for me to really worry that much, and I’m concerned I’d get one that might be worse.
Fortunately, I got no dead pixels and both monitors were relatively well calibrated out of the box. I didn’t have to set G-Sync up or anything–just worked as soon as I plugged them in. My only other complaint is the stand. I really had to tighten down the screws rather hard to get one of the displays not to wobble. I was a little worried I was going to break something, but it eventually turned out ok.
Despite the issues listed above, the display works great for gaming. I’m coming from a 1080P display at 75hz, so this was a big upgrade for me. I didn’t think it would be as pronounced, but I was wrong. The increase in smoothness in gameplay is absolutely noticeable. Even moving windows around on the desktop is smoother.

I noticed the FPS immediately, and all the games melted my eyes…. for the price it’s definitely worth it

This is my first monitor of this kind with all these fancy features and specs. Though this is marketed as a gaming monitor, I intended to use this for creative/production purposes as well.
The image is vibrant and sharp, which has worked splendidly for me. Although you might be better off investing in a monitor that features a higher resolution than this 2K/1440p display if you intend to use it for creativity and production, this monitor’s HDR capability and screen size are something you should also consider.
As for games, they look and run astonishingly well. Though you will get the most out of this monitor by hooking up your PC or PS5/Xbox Series console, Nintendo Switch games look great on it as well. You can plug in up to three devices, with the available DisplayPort and 2 X HDMI connections available, and you can customize the appearance for each through the display’s settings. The monitor also comes with an 3.5mm audio output, but I’ve experienced poor sound quality when using it. You’re better off plugging in headphones or speakers directly into your device, which is probably the intention anyway. The audio quality is a let-down, but not a deal-breaker.
If you can afford it, this monitor is great if you’re making the jump from 1080p 60hz for the first time. You’ll notice the difference like night and day, and the colors pop out especially with the use of HDR. Highly recommend!

My first 144hz and I hope I never comeback to a 60hz monitor. It’s amazing, quality of the image and how smoothly the games play makes so much difference!
I never thought it was going to make a lot of difference but I’m soo happy with my purchased.
I also bought this because my graphics cards is a RTX 2070

DO NOT BUY
This monitor met the spec advertising, HOWEVER, I had this monitor for less than 2 months and showed red vertical lines and would randomly go static, and soon after would completely shut down. You do have 12 months of Factory Warranty with LG DO KEEP IN MIND they will not replace your monitor if it is considered not repairable, they will send it back as is.
