So simple to assemble and perfect to operate. Such a beautiful machine. The best vacuum I have ever owned.

I am amazed by the performance of this vacuum. I has great suction and maneuverability. We have a cat and a German Shepherd/St. Bernard mix dog (or pony :-)) that sheds constantly and this machine has no problem collecting their fir. It works equally well on both hardwood and carpeting. No complaints.

Unfortunately this vacuum is not worthy of the money but to be balanced I’ll share some positives. The suction is powerful and the attachments are spectacular. It sucks up all the dry debris and feathers from a very dusty parrot with ease. Unfortunately it has numerous plastic parts and literally a week and a half after purchase, one small but important piece( a small red semi circle) cracked and broke. As a result, the vacuum can’t be reclined and used as a vacuum. The attachments work when connected directly to the hose but somehow the suction is lost when you attach a brush, as an example, to the extension pole. The hose is also very stiff and can be difficult to stretch out unless you’re Superman. I could live with the stiff extension pole but given that an intrinsic piece cracked in half shortly after purchase, I have no doubt other intrinsic plastic parts will also break given time. I have now read negative reviews complaining about the the breakage of plastic parts. It’s real, the parts are brittle and prone to breakage. For the price, I expect a vacuum to last a couple of years. Save your money and buy the Miele or another non plastic dependent product

We owned our first Dyson 22 yrs ago, a second 15yrs ago, and they’re both still running but it was time for a new one given the best buy deal of the day for this model. Very strong suction and operation. The best so far. Most products get cheaper and less capable over time as cost reductions and profit demands take over. This Dyson gets better which is the right way to look at product evolution. Maximize design effectiveness. This is it.
Only caveat, still heavy. All 3 we have owned over the years weigh about 17lbs. They really need to lighten these up. Were not getting any younger.

We love this vacuum. It’s easy to use, light weight and very versatile. The wand is very much improved over the last version we had years ago. There’s also a new attachment that is AMAZING on furniture. Definitely would recommend it to anyone who is considering a new vacuum.

I must say that as of today, I now own 5 Dyson vacuums. I love all of them. I just gave my yellow multi-floor ball vacuum to my son for his house. My husband did not like the yellow ball vacuum. He used it on our lower level Berber carpet. He hadn’t changed the filter for a couple of years and complained that he thought it was clogged somewhere. I brought it upstairs and cleaned it, replaced the filters and it was like new. Strong suction. It worked perfectly!!! Now, I am purchasing the animal ball multi-floor vacuum to replace the yellow. I still have my original Animal Upright. 15 years old!!! Still works. I’ve had to replace parts, but it’s old and reliable. I also own the cordless animal. I use this the most. Versatility and the ability to handle cat and dog hair and my grandchildren’s messes are it’s greatest attributes! Take care of your products, replace filters and they will stand the test of time. Awesome products!!!

With four young children and a black lab/golden retriever mix pup, we know messes at our house. If I don’t vacuum every couple of days, tiny hair balls start following us around the house. Walking on crumbs is going to happen regardless.
I wasn’t sure what to except when I opened the box of the Dyson Ball Animal Bagless Upright Vacuum, but I was kind of hoping for a miracle. Not that it would vacuum on it’s own, although that would be amazing, but that it would actually pick up the dirt and dog hair easily.
Impressed with how easy it was to assemble out of the box, I plugged it in and held my breath as I went for the stairs.
I did have to figure out exactly which tool to use, but the suction was strong and it’s so light I was easily able to carrying it up the stairs as I went.
Even my children have been excited to help clean up! It easily goes between carpets and hardwood floors.
If you’re in the market for a vacuum and have carpet, hardwoods, hairy pets, children, or just want an awesome vacuum, the Dyson – Ball Animal Bagless Upright Vacuum is for you.
I did receive the Dyson – Ball Animal Bagless Upright Vacuum in exchange for my review. All opinions though are my own.

When using the hand held attachments the hose is awkward to keep straight when used in close proximity to vacuum unit. That is the reason I have given 4 rather than 5 stars. Dyson should supply a storage container for additional parts. This particular unit came with 5 attachments. After vacuuming, if you leave residue from vacuuming in holding tank until next use, I have yet to smell a normal “vacuum stench” from dirt, dander, and animal fur. I purchased as Deal of the Day, however, I would not purchase at full price. Suction is great straight from the box. After using make sure to clean filter and holding tank prior to it becoming full. Suction has not been the same since first use. Still has good suction but not great.
