I’ve had these for about a month and at first I was very intrigued by the haptic feedback response during music/movies/gaming. My problem however is that there are times when the feedback becomes warped like someone dragging a nail across a blackboard kind of feeling right next to me. The sound quality is pretty much the same as another $100 Logitech headphone I own. I can’t exactly judge this as I don’t consider myself an audiophile. BUT I do have a problem with the mic. When you talk to someone, you can clearly tell if their voice sounds normal or if there is some kind of hiccup. This is the latter. It’s tinny, it’s echoey, and it’s a source of embarrassment when you have to introduce yourself (this is an exaggeration but I think you get the point).
Another issue is that every single day I’ve had to deal with between 20-30 random disconnects that last typically 5 seconds each but enough for me to miss what I was listening to on youtube or discord and I have to rewind or ask someone to repeat themselves… once or twice is bearable but not the amount of times I’ve been experiencing it is too damn much.
Lastly, battery life. Razer advertises 10-14 hrs or 7 days with 2 hrs daily usage. I’ve never had a problem here unless it’s during the weekends and I’m on my desktop all day. But then you can just plug in the charger and use it as normal (without the haptic feedback). Although I have noticed that turning off the haptic feedback grants you A LOT more battery life. Never had it die on me but I always charge my headphones overnight so I don’t know how much longer.
On the comfort side… I would give this a 7/5 if I could. It’s so damn comfortable to wear and the cushions fit just right.
These are my thoughts. I love Razer but I can’t justify spending $320 on these headphones.

I have always thought of Razer as a reputable company. I spent around $130 on a headset that completely fell apart after a little over a year. This headset was worn by an adult who still has items from his childhood, he takes good care of his things. But these headphones are the worst yet. I have headphones from Walmart that I’ve had for 5 years and they didn’t fall apart like these. When I contacted Razer they said it was customer induced damage. Really….really. Never ever again will I purchase any item associated with the company Razer. And after reading other reviews on Amazon I see it is a common problem work their headsets falling apart and Amazon should really look into this matter since they are the ones selling the product.

My son recently broke his headset and begged me to buy him a new one. I thought, how about I give you my Turtle Beach Stealth 600s and I buy myself a new one.
After plenty of research, I settled on the Razer Nari Ultimates for Xbox One.
I never really understood why people would pay over $200 for a gaming headset. With these Razers, I now know. I received them in the mail this morning from Amazon and was instantly blown away by the haptics and sound quality.
Build quality is top notch. The aluminum frame feels solid, the stretchy green headband has taken me to new levels of comfort. The cooling gel on the ear cups is a nice touch. I wore these for just over two hours today and, with my other headset, by this time my ears would be throbbing from pressure on my glasses. With the Nari Ultimate, that problem has become a thing of the past. Incredibly comfortable. My kids were off school today and I couldn’t hear them at all with these on. These have great isolation from outside noise.
I’ve read complaints about the mic being too quiet but this isn’t an issue here. The people I’ve chatted with have all said my voice is clean and clear. Incoming voice sounds great.
Haptics. Okay. This little gimmick was the main reason why I decided to pull the trigger on these bad boys and I am not disappointed. It really brings immersion to a new level. Approaching a running truck in the game I was playing had the haptics slowly getting more intense as I got closer to the truck. I can’t wait to experience more with this headset.
RAZER knocked it out of the park with this one. The best headset I’ve ever owned.

As usual Razers Synapse software is a pain but the headset is very good.
Pros:
Fast charge time and long battery life- I got over 20 hours on a single charge using for both online comms and without the mic for game play.
Positional audio is first rate. The EQ helps to get the sound to where you would like it but the presets are good.
Very comfortable and not too hot for extended use.
Cons
Robot voice issues with the mic at times so be careful how you position the mic when you lower it.
You may have to really crank up the output volume on the mic as it can be very quiet.
The software is a pain as always. Took a complete reinstall to get headset to work with Discord.
Overall I do recommend as it’s price pint is good, sound is great and battery life is off the charts.

This is the worst headset ive ever bought, even without considering the insane price. I have a pair of really cheap turtle beaches that are better than these in every category other than comfort and appearance, and they cost a literal fraction as much. When I first used these I thought they were faulty, but thats just how they sound. Then I tried using the mic with some friends, and they said I was not only too quiet but also gave THEM an echo. How thats even possible is beyond me. The mic that comes out is way too short and picks up background noise more than my voice. I downloaded synapse and messed with the settings for hours and no matter what I did they were still horrible. Then the best part is the battery life. These things die in a couple hours. Its pathetic. The haptic crap is just a party trick. Its definitely not a game changer. Also they advertise these as a metal frame and they are almost entirely made of cheap plastic. Combine all that with the massive 200 dollar price tag and I feel like I just got mugged. I would give these a 0 if it was an option.

The sensation of the haptic feedback is excellent much like being at a live concert. Great for music with a strong pumping bassline or playing games! I was originally sceptical but this feature won me over and is more than traditional rumble (the kind you might expect on a console controller). These are also the most comfortable and best sounding cans I have owned (I also own the steelseries arctis 4 and a pair of sony’s extra bass over ears). It should be noted however that the battery life is indeed terrible (I would estimate 6-8 hrs).
Overall a 5/5 and a really unique product!
I see some other comments talking about the mic. I was able to solve these issues by doing the following:
1. Increasing mic sensitivity to near-max in razer synapse
2. increasing mic volume to max in razer synapse
3. Using “default” input device in discord instead of selecting the headset mic specifically.
Once I did the above I was able to chat on discord without issue.

EQ:
First of all I gotta say I never managed to get the EQ to sound true or have that good mid range without sounding a little hollow. My astro A50’s are much better for me in this regard. Secondly I gotta say I could not possibly care less about this as the haptic functionality in gaming is so cool that my A50’s have been sitting docked since I got these. I admit I am not an audiophile so I suppose my criticism on mid range sound quality means little and less but I wanted to be honest.
Haptics:
The haptics are the coolest immersive addition to my PC gaming and I can’t shutup about how cool these are. My friend at work told me about them and since I love trying new tech I gave them a try. Imagine playing a mech game and feeling the vibration of your heavy machine running on the ground in the base of your neck. (Not painfully just present, unless you max the haptics in which case it can be too much.) You can adjust the intensity of the vibration and the coolest thing about it is the vibrations are not either on or off, but they match the vibration frequency of the sound in the game. Like a low frequency sound wave slowly vibrates, and thus the haptics vibrate slowly (exact to the sound they are matching in as far as I can tell) and feel accurate to the sound you are hearing so that you feel it like you were there. It is incredibly cool. When you take off with your afterburners you feel the air cutting vibrations of your jet or mech slightly moving your neck and head. Also the surround sound functions work great and it works with Dolby Atmos.
Cost:
These are expensive. I think that’s basically an early adopter cost for new tech, but even if that’s not the case I find myself finding reasons to use these even when I would otherwise just use speakers because I really enjoy them, not just the justification of the cost.

I have noticed that most of the 1 star reviews are from kids trying to use the wireless on xbox, which a little bit of reading would have told them from the start that it wouldn’t work. That aside, This is a solid headset for the price. It is very comfortable, even while wearing glasses. It can be a bit heavy after a couple hours, but really we shouldn’t be sitting at the PC gaming for 4 hours straight anyway, so I can’t really gripe there. The battery is good, I literally can’t imagine playing for so long in one sitting that the battery dies, and if it does, either YOU forgot to charge it over night, or YOU have some serious life problems and time management skills to work out. Sound quality is standard, nothing amazing but works well, and the virtual 8-speaker THX works exactly as intended from all the games I have tried so far. The ear cups cancel sound well enough, but they aren’t true “noise cancelling” as far as I am concerned. Probably not a bad thing if you don’t still live with Mommy. Gotta answer the doors and pretend to be an adult.
Overall, its a great headset and the price is right, on par with Corsair Void or Logitech G-series. It really is a shame that kids who don’t do their research first are allowed to make bad reviews to mask their own negligence to market research.
ADVICE: if you plug in the wireless adapter and get very little sound, poor mic quality, or faint recording, PLEASE try a different USB port. There is a difference between USB 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 and you want to be certain you are at least using 2.0. DO NOT USE the USB ports on the front of your PC, They are not shielded like the rear I/O and they are much more common to give issues with sound from these kind of devices due to interference.

I was curious what would happen if I plugged the usb dongle for the headset to be wireless in my USB c hub while connected to my S10+ and the sound came through amazingly clear with bass busting face features and Dolby Atmos, go to your sound settings and advanced settings and you get control of the amazing sound. I then thought maybe I should try the USB c to USB a adapter the phone came with to transfer from 1 phone to another and created an amazing free wireless adapter for this amazing headset!!! Definitely recommend!!
