When you have a bunch of cables that you need to know which one belong to what , these come handy , you can write on them.

Needed to use these for cable management behind a bookcase. I liked that you could write on them. Had a bit of difficulty figuring out how to use the wrap, but that would have been me and trying to wrap too many wires together.

Until I started researching cable ties, the area where my feet are supposed to rest under my desk was a mess. Cables dangled where my feet rest and I just couldn’t relax knowing that I might accidentally yank one of the cords and break some expensive equipment. I considered my options. Because zip ties can only be used once and I like to change things up every so often, I quickly decided reusable cable ties were my best option. A quick search on the Best Buy website, where I normally buy electronics, revealed these. Wrap-It Storage Cable Ties. It wasn’t long before I decided these would be good to start with.
I purchased the cable ties at my local Best Buy and immediately got to work, spending at least a half hour deciding how to best shorten the cables under my workspace. Luckily, my desk has a cable management cage underneath, but you tell me if the attached image is what its manufacturers had in mind. Of the ten cable ties included, I am using 9 at the time of writing this review, though not all are shown in the image. I realize I could have utilized them better, but now my cables are safe, and so are my feet. Since these aren’t permanent, I can reconfigure them whenever I want!
There’s something to be said for quality and comfort. The material and stitching are very sturdy, and the loops are made of metal instead of plastic. I can’t tell if the material is Velcro or something else, but whatever makes these cable ties stick feels good to handle. Unlike traditional Velcro that connects using one rough and scratchy surface and one soft surface, these use a single-surface design that feels good in the hand. You won’t scratch yourself on these or otherwise feel uncomfortable handling them. One bonus feature that I haven’t used is the white strip on which you can write with a marker. You can easily mark which cables are which. I love the fact that this is an option, but then there’s the reusability factor. I don’t want to write something in permanent marker and end up using the same one for a different thing in the future. But those are just small details that are really up to personal preference. As someone who likes his space clean and organized, I see these as a godsend, and I’m glad such a small and seemingly insignificant product is still being produced with utmost quality.

Worked as expected. Would purchase again if needed.

Somehow thought they would be able to handle longer cables. Space for labeling is helpful.

I like the idea of the weatherproof design which features a stainless steel buckle for durable outdoor use. I plan to connect dog leash loop to RV loop this summer while camping.
I’ve used on hair dryer and plan to use on my desktop computer cords so I can label them. It’s important that you realize that while 7″ long, it loops through the stainless steel buckle and back so if you want the entire write-on surface to display, it leaves you about 3 1/2″. The attached pics have a quarter in the center – just to help you set your expectations (they are probably not long enough for power tools with thick cords).
