Bought this for the kids bathroom to replace the old one. They sometimes dropped the toilet seat or cover without holding it down, so it’s not calming if it occurred during nighttime. Both seat and cover can slowly close. The build quality seems to be decent and installation was super easy. The material feels light hopefully durable. It comes with a rubber pad (didn’t see it before from my previous experience) to prevent sliding.

So I purchased because I liked seeing the pads “hold the seat firmly in place.”
The first time I leaned to wipe the seat slide startlingly. I figured I needed to tighten the bolts.
I tightened the already tight bolts, and the seat still slides ~3/4 – 1 inch. I was shocked to see the seat is able to move, sort of, within its connection to the base…if that makes sense. The base that’s bolted down doesn’t move, but the seat itself does.
I opted out of a cheap product, but this $50 product still leaves me sliding all over the place and frustrated.

I’m terrible at installing things, putting them together, etc.– even something as simple and obvious as a toilet seat with its two screws and that’s it. So I am very happy that this was so easy to install and went right in with no glitches (mis-threaded screws, missing hardware, etc.), but also offered multiple instructions, all totally clear.
The measurements and other info in the description on Amazon also upped the odds I was right in thinking this seat would fit the toilet (can you tell I ‘ve never replaced a toilet seat before, lol?), which proved to be the case.
So, perfect fit, easy installation and I was already happy with my purchase. I’m not exactly a toilet seat connoisseur, so I don’t know what else to say about it– it’s smooth and easy to clean, it doesn’t wiggle around, it lifts and closes effortlessly…so as far as I can tell, it’s perfect!
Also, it offers two sets of hardware, so there’s a choice of installing two different ways. I just chose to put it on the same way the previous one was put together, but I guess it’s a plus to be offered a choice– the way I didn’t choose is probably minimally easier, but either way is a snap.
So I’m happy with my choice, and glad I bought this one instead of one of the many higher-priced ones, since I can’t imagine how they’d have any advantage over this one.

The basic functions work as designed (i.e. “slow close”. Installation is a bit onerous. THE major flaw is in the design of the topmost lid. The lower lid that rests directly on the toilet has “landing protrusions” that are oriented perpendicular to the circumference of the lid. Unfortunately, the upper lid’s landing protrusions are only 1/4″ wide, and are oriented parallel to the lid circumference. The result is that, if you try to actually SIT on the closed lid and shift your weight slightly, the upper lid slips to the side of the lower with an uncomfortable “lurch”. The upper lid landing protrusions should either be “T” shaped, or perpendicular to the upper lid circumference.

There isn’t anything to dislike and it fit my Toto toilet perfect. I love the fact that the lid closes at the ease of a finger and wife doesn’t get on my case to close it like my pryor seat. Easy to install with options for you to choose. Truly a great product and highly recommend it.

Wow! All I can say is that it all worked perfectly. The instructions were complete, in English and totally understandable. The quick installation with the expanding easy to insert bolts were a snap. I had this thing installed in 10 minutes. I am convinced that I will NEVER purchase and / try to install any other brand of toilet seat, especially since I have 4 other bathrooms to do. Thanks to WSSSROY (whatever that means) for doing such a great job. Perhaps it’s too late, but your competitors could really take a lesson from you.

I ordered two European style one-piece toilets a few years ago, but couldn’t find the website or brand name. None of the big box stores carried replacement toilet seats that install from the top. Luckily, I found this model on Amazon, ordered 2 and they are perfect. The manufacturer even puts in another set of bolts if you attach from the top but tighten the screw from the underside. I needed the top install only. I am very pleased and highly recommend this product. BK from Arizona

This is a very flimsy product. Cheeply made and doesn’t seem like it is going to last very long. Hair is like a magnet to the plastic. I wouldn’t recommend. I want to buy a wooden one now.
