I have used reinforced heat resistant Teflon tape before , that works good but is often thicker than need.
This tape is not thick , the thickness is more like a primo packaging tape.
I could have used a slightly thicker one, but this will make a better sliding surface without changing things much.
I used it on a wood-on-wood drawer , and it solved the problem, the drawer now slides easier and no longer damages the surfaces.
The adhesion is good enough to peel the photo finish off , and still allowed for some lift and reset positioning prior to pressing it down. Looks like it would also be removable. Adhesion is a great balance.

We have an older winter place in Florida and the drawers were wood on wood sliders, over the years the drawers were almost impossible to open and close. After covering all the areas with this tape the operate nice and smooth, just like new, saved me a ton of work.

I really like the tape but the roll I received varies in width by around +/- 1/16″. Not sure how or where it’s been cut but it sure doesn’t seem like it was cut wherever the tape was manufacured. If decent outer edges and width isn’t critical the tape is great. Unfortunately I assumed I’d be getting a OE roll of tape not something cut and re-spooled by a 3’rd party or I would have tried to purchase elsewhere.

My BMW 3 series had a frustrating squeak caused by the felt on the top of the doors rubbing against the door frame when the car was slightly less than perfectly clean. Installed this and the squeak has gone away completely transforming my car. I’ve had it in place now for a month and it’s still as new.

I mistakenly ordered this tape thinking it was anti-slip tape due to the “high tack” line in the description, only to realize it was low-friction tape. I will still come up with uses for it such as wood working jigs and tool fences.

Great product, restored old wooden drawer runners to better than new. Also great for table saw jigs. I will think of many more uses.

Ever feel grip tape on a skateboard? This is the opposite of that. Needs to be called slip tape. Smoother than my wife’s freshly waxed legs. Used on dresser drawers that were rubbing. Tape was slippery. Adhered to the surface well and was enough to finish the job.

Our house is almost 100 years old and the drawers in the kitchen were really ‘dragging’ due to wear.; I put this tape on one side and the drawers are all much easier to work. I tried both sides on one drawer, where it had a groove warn into it, but that just wound up binding, as the groove didn’t have enough clearance – I suspect that if I had just put it in the flat part of the groove, the drawer would be working near-perfectly.

This could be thought of as the world’s most expensive sticky tape, but it solved a problem of sticky wooden drawers (redwood runners on a redwood cabinet frame.)
It transformed the performance of the drawers giving a smooth opening and closing with no stickiness.
The traditional remedy of candle wax don’t compare with this high-tech tape which sticks securely and has the appearance of being very durable.
I’ll get back to you in ten years with a progress report 🙂

On the roll I received the adhesive stuck to the protective clear cellophane – none remained on the UHMW tape. There was no way to apply the UHMW tape without using my own adhesive. The description for this product indicates the UHMW tape has a high tack acrylic adhesive. Mine did not.

Used this in combination with WD40 on an old tanker desk I refinished to help the drawers slide out better and it works like a charm!
