I received the Homedics Ultrasonic cool mist humidifier from the Spark review program. I have used it today and feel its adding moisture in my living room. The air during the winter in my home is usually dry from using our heating to keep my home warm. I feel me and my family will use it very frequently. There is an instruction manual, 1.4gallon humidifier and one demineralization cartridge.There is a caution that before filling with water turn off power and unplug the tank. First, the cartridge has to soak in water for ten minutes. Next, add cool clean water to the tank and then plug the tank in an outlet. This unit is very simple to operate by following the instruction manual. The micro fine mist that comes out of the humidifier is very soothing.The features are the mist which is visible and provides humidity thru any room it is in. This unit is designated for a large room. This brand Homedics is very dependable. This brand is quiet, no filter to clean and replace. Additionally, the cool mist humidifier relieves dryness, breathing is easier thru nose and sinuses. Homedic cool mist humidifier is a great investment and I’m happy to have this brand in my home.

The humidifier is remarkably more useful than expected. The unit is very easy to set up for use. The set up instructions are clear, direct, and extremely easy to follow. Although the tank looks like it will hold a quantity of water that might be difficult to handle and install when full, the design of it makes it very easy to utilize. Once set up, the unit is very easy to operate following the instructions. It includes a built-in night light, which is a very pleasant addition to the bedroom. After you determine the appropriate mist level setting, it pretty much operates automatically. The mist it emits is completely visible (resembles smoke), but is not so moisture laden that the room becomes too humid. You will see the mist when it’s actually working, but the rest of the time it just sits quietly. I thought the added air moisture might help with my night sinus drainage. After the first 2 – 3 nights of sleeping with the unit operating, my sinuses don’t bother me any more while sleeping. No drainage and discomfort while sleeping. The quality of my sleep has improved to where I rest much better at night. I also no longer have to seriously blow my nose in the morning before using nasal spray so I can breathe through my nose. I honestly wish I had tried one of these sooner. I plan to buy an additional unit for another bedroom.

I received this HoMedics Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier at the perfect time of the year ~ Winter when our house is so dry and there seems to be a higher need due to cold and flue season.
This was the first time in our household that we’ve used a cool mist humidifier. We have used warm humidifiers in the past.
One of the features that I liked immediately is that there is no worry of a child getting a burn from this kind of humidifier then with the hot steam humidifiers. It was so simple to get ready for first use. All I had to do was soak the little filter tablet for 10min in water and then drop it in the full water tank. Turned it on and immediate started blowing cool vapor. It is so quiet and has a wonderful feature of a night light within the tank. It can run up to 60hrs on one tank of water and claims that there will be less “white dust” from hard water vapor with this humidifier. That is a great feature for our household. We don’t want the hassle of having to use distilled water in a humidifier.
Overall, this HoMedics Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier is awesome!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is need of a cool misting humidifier. Great product!!!

I have never had a “cool mist” humidifier and I must say that I really like it! The kids all LOVE the “smoke” that comes out (think dry ice at Halloween) and I especially like the blue “night light” on it. The features include controlling how MUCH moisture it pumps out by way of the knob on the front and you can also opt out of the blue night light. The unit includes a “pill like” filter to keep the water in the tank clean and prevent that “white ring” harder water can leave. I did notice that it was a little “scummy” in the part that actually turns the water into humidity (under the tank) but that was an easy fix and won’t hurt the parts of the machine that make it work like the hard water (I am assuming this is the thought process). I will say I haven’t yet priced a new filter but the first one is supposed to last a good while. Of COURSE the tank could be bigger- but truly it is a good size. I find I have to refill about once a day on “full blast” humidity level or once every 2-3 days one medium. Overall- a great machine!

This is a GREAT humidifier. It is a cool mist humidifier and works wonderful. My daughter suffers from frequent bloody nose episodes from the dry air. We needed the humidifier to help alleviate the dry air in her room. It worked great, no more bloody noses for my little girl. It states that it has a 60 hour run time but that is only on the lowest setting. We have been running it on the second setting and it ran for about 40 hours. I would imagine that it goes down approximately 10 hours at each higher level. It has 4 levels of running. We were running it throughout the night and it has a night light on it. Which I think is a great feature considering how dark rooms are at night and you don’t want to run into the humidifier in the dark. I would definitely recommend this humidifier for people with dry air issues. Especially in the winter time. I think I would like one in each of my bedrooms. This humidifier war made for bedroom size rooms and not larger rooms.

We’re very satisfied with this product. It is used in a bedroom and keeps the humidity at a comfortable level. We live in the desert where the humidity is many times in the single digits and this humidifier does a great job.

HoMedics – TotalComfort® Humidifier makes all the difference for homes or rooms with dry air and makes it so much easier to breathe. I really like that you can adjust the mist and you can turn the nightlight on or off. Another plus is it can run up to 65 hours and it runs so quietly that it doesn’t disturb you at all. When the tank is empty it automatically shuts off, it comes with a demineralization cartridge helping to prevent lime and calcium buildup. I am really impressed with this product it helps so much in my home to keep moisture in the air and it’s so easy to set it up. I would highly recommend this product. Its about double the size I thought it would be but its still small enough to fit in tight spaces. I love this. It holds a lot of water but its also light enough to move feom room to room when you need to!

This was the second unit I bought. This humidifier, quiet, easy to fill., has a shutoff feature fro when the tank is empty. It starts back up upon replacing the filled tank.

This is the best humidifier!! Over the past 20 years I bought everything on the market, filters, filters with silver, huge ones, $200 ones. This functions very well for an adjustable fog of humidity, you do not need a filter. I fill it every 2 to 3 days because I run it 24/7 in the winter. Wash it every 3rd 4th day. I spray Tilex Mildew for convenience and some water into the tank only because it has some bleach in it and the base too, rinse a couple times, done. Few drops of bleach kills everything if you don’t have Tilex. I run mine in the hallway to cover 3 bedrooms and the living room area and it is really enough. I no longer have sparks when I take off my sweater in the winter so it is really enough for a larger area than is says. If it runs out
