So this is the best purpose built webcam made. But for a webcam it’s totally overpriced. The focus searches a bit more than I’d like when moving forward or backward in the seat and it can be annoying. I probably should have just bought an he capture card and used a real camera or even a GoPro to get a better image but it’s nice how easy this is to setup and use while on the go.

I was so excited to purchase this camera. It had great specs, the whole 9 yards. Until I got it home, and it did not display an image. It was just a black screen. Well, it was a black screen until I tried to change the settings in the Synapse software. Then it just crashed and said it was in use in another program (which it wasn’t.) But, whatever, I got a defective one, so I exchanged it and had to wait another 5 days because stores don’t carry it. So I get my new one, and it works ok, except the auto-focus was adjusting every few seconds. I go into synapse to see if I can adjust it, and what do you know? There’s a firmware update SPECIFICALLY for the auto-focus issue. So, I hit the button which takes me to their site. It doesn’t update via Synapse, it uses an updater specifically for this firmware version. It goes through the update 100%, and for the final step it says to “please unplug and then re-connect your camera to this PC to continue.” So I do this, and it stays on this screen. Nothing happens. Minutes go by, so I contact Razer, and they tell me that I need to wait 48 hours for their “high level team” to contact me. Yeah, I’m all set. Never again will I purchase another Razer product. This is the THIRD Razer webcam if you count both Kiyo Pros and the Stargazer I got a few years back that was also defective out of the box.

Make sure your computer has usb 3.0 ports. I connect in one old hp laptops from 2017 and it has issues. On my new razer stealth laptops works great.

I rarely get disappointed with Razer hardware, so I had to get this camera when I was able. It’s a higher-priced component, but I never had an issue with it. The only thing I will point out is the lack of fine-tuned zooming but it might be an oversight on my part or the limitation of the camera software I’m using. I also like the fact that I can adjust the pitch and move the camera around. Being able to use this on a tripod if I ever need to is a bonus. Solid buy.

Picture quality is incredible. Looks good. Alot of good features. Only thing I dont like is, everytime I go into a Zoom or MS teams, it tries to take over the mic. I have to go into every meeting and manually set it.

I upgraded from the standard Kiyo. I’m very pale so I glow quite badly with most webcams. The hdr completely fixes that issue. The quality is great and Synapse allows you to make any adjustments you may need.

Seems to work fine, both in terms of the wider angle view, and of the microphone capture.

The Kiyo Pro arrived today from Best Buy. Brand new item. Plugged it in, Razer Synapse updated, and said I had a firmware update available to fix the well known auto focus issues. Downloaded the firmware update tool from the link provided by Synapse, ran it, and it said “To proceed with this firmware update, please contact Razer Support”. Tried rebooting, tried a different computer, same result. Contacted Razer Support who after 45 frustrating minutes of the technician having no idea how to resolve it, finally told me he ran the serial number and the Kiyo Pro I received from Best Buy was so old that it would not accept the firmware update. I could fill out a few forms and Razer would send me a new one under warranty (1 year limited, by the way). No thanks, returning it to Best Buy and buying the Logitech Brio – which I should have bought in the first place. Razer support is awful. Razer warranty is 1 year vs 3 years with the Logitech Brio.
