This thing holds a silo of water so even at full blast which in a bedroom is way too much, it lasts 2-3 nights of sleep. Which means I only fill it twice a week, and because it has a turn knob that stays in place I combined it with a Alexa compatible outlet plug so I set it on a timer to come on and off automatically or I can turn it on/off with Alexa. It’s the least labor intensive humidifier ever. It has a huge filling port for rapid filling AND easy cleaning. It’s dead silent, can output a lot of steam, is black so it fits nicely in most rooms, doesn’t have a bright annoying lit, just a tiny little LED on the knob that produced zero light pollution when you sleep, and it leaks none whatsoever.
I bought two more for around the house.

I live in a very dry apartment in NYC that gets radiator heat. I really wanted to purchase the Honeywell Humidifier, unfortunately it was out of stock at the time I really needed a humidifier and I bought a Crane Drop Humidifier instead. The Crane humidifier did the job, but was a pain to clean, didn’t change humidity as much as I weanted and just felt weak. I kept it anyway, because, well I needed a humidifier and one that didn’t take much space. Now I get my Honeywell unexpectedly early and let me say, avoid the Crane and get this Honeywell. Ill include some pictures for comparison.
Pros:
Easy to clean (especially compared to Crane)
I fill it only once a day. (Vs. 2-3 times with Crane)
Attached and spinning directional component allows you to turn direction of humidifier but stays on tight.
Simple understated design.
Honeywell offers a 2yr warranty.
Auto shutoff and light is far less annoying than on other units and you can place a piece of tape over it.
Cons:
Since the crane and the Honeywell both take a gallon, I wonder if the Honeywell is actually outputting less than the Crane or if it is just a better use of technology and doing more with less.
Lack of colors, while I am cool with the design and I am happy that the black unit I purchased blends in, since the unit takes space, it would have been nice to be a design/colorful piece.
It is noisier than the Crane and quite so. While its not as loud as a Laptop computer fan, it comes close to it. I actually like it as it creates a slight white noise but it is still a con. As soon as you start a conversation or play music, you wont notice it. I only notice it when i am writing or reading, but I also get annoyed at ticking clocks, so thats just me.
As you can see from the pictures, the Honeywell seems to produce more than the Crane at all settings. Also the design of the honeywell makes it easy to clean. Photos included are Side By Side Comparison, Opened up Comparison, Low Setting Comparison, Medium Setting Comparison, High Setting Comparison.

I’ve used this Humidifier for 2 winters now and just cleaned and put it away for next year. The first one I bought leaked after the first use and Amazon quickly replaced it with my current model. It lasts through night on the highest setting. I even put essential oils directly into the water, which is a no-no. Supposedly the EOs are too strong and can eat away at the plastic. The container does have some buildup inside so I’m not sure if that was from EO use but it doesn’t affect function or longevity so I’ll continue to use them.
For winter storage I poured white vinegar into the base and let it sit for a couple hours, dumped the vinegar into the container with some water and let it run until it was empty. I did this to another humidifier that had stopped working and it now works again!

I purchased two of these because my girlfriend has the smaller version and it seems to work fine with light duty use. However I need mine every night when I’m home and these units are not up to the task. I put up with the dripping from the tank while filling and transporting to the base and even the white calcium scale everywhere for a dependable unit. These units both failed they both started making the same noise as stated in all of the other reviews on this site. One has completely failed and the other is noisy and on it’s way out. I’ve gone through a long list of Humidifiers and vaporizers that I need after my surgery and unfortunately I’m still searching. For people like me the next turn may be to a Medical Supply Company. Both of mine are still under the factory warranty but I can see from the other reviews that Honeywell charges exorbitant fees for shipping both ways weather it fails in three Months or just under a year. This policy qualifies as an unreasonable, exorbitant, taxing, price gouging excess by the Company so I’m personally placing Honeywell on my DO NOT PURCHASE FROM LIST. Sadly like many other companies they have long lost their focus on customer satisfaction. Another once proud company has turned on it’s customers with cheap products and fraudulent warranties.

Product is good..it does it’s work. No sound at all. But it was not appropriate for my room as the room was small and even if I keep the knob to lowest point it made room too hot hence returned it.

Dont buy product it is imported from US and one needs a convertor to use it, also its quite bulky.

Pros:
– Very quiet
– Doesn’t require a filter
– Comforting mist.
– Elegant look and the mist looks pretty.
– Uses relatively less power than other humidifier products.
– Auto off when empty.
Cons:
– Refilling can be a pain. You have to turn it upside down, open the reservoir cap (on the bottom), fill it with water while holding the reservoir which is getting heavy. You can’t place on a flat surface because its top/head isn’t flat and the tip (where it shoots out mist) may crush under heavy load.
– Residual build-up (result of not using a filter)
