This arrived smashed beyond recognition, we took photos and Amazon were excellent at refunding my money, as the product was not safe to return…… ordered it again as the smell was delicious as always – Yankee Candles are just the best

I don’t think it’s an authentic Yankee candle. I’ve bought this sent before at a Yankee store, and what I bought on Amazon isn’t the same quality. What i bought on Amazon has no smell while burning. And Yankee candles are known for their scent.

I am very disappointed in this candle. I have been buying authentic Yankee Candles for 20+ years and I’ve never had such a low quality dud.
This candle had no scent and the wick burned so quickly that I had to dump out wax so the flame would stay lit. Even after dumping out wax, the wick burned unusually fast (for a Yankee candle).
I went out and bought a comparable Yankee Candle from a reputable, authorized dealer and the difference was night and day.
The candle I purchased from the dealer was exactly what I was used to seeing in a real Yankee Candle.
I have a feeling this was a fake Yankee candle, but have no way of proving it.

Buyer beware!!!! Bad bad product!!!! No scent….none not even a whiff…second time this has occurred. Obviously Yankee Candle has instituted a cost reduction by not including the scents in this candle. And since I used part of it Amazon has no means for getting a refund!!!!!

i bought 3 of these for a christmas present for my girlfriend. there is NO smell at all when burning them.
this is her favorite candle so we know the difference.
there is a 2 month wait for a replacement which i find unacceptable . i’m not sure if these are defective or a fake item.
very disappointed.

The scent is amazing, but I remember being able to smell one yankee candle through the entire house. I don’t know if the formula has changed recently but the scent remains in the room. I miss the strong smell of yankee carrying throughout the house. I’m a little let down with the strength. The scent is amazing besides that fact.

Lovely fragrance.

Many years back, I had the distinct privilege to work for Yankee Candle when the original owner, Mike Kittridge, brought it onto the market for the first time. It was met with wild acclaim. The public clamored for these incredibly strong scented candles. The company’s attention to “customer happiness” was first. (I also received a half price discount.). They were THE candle to buy, as any scent permeated an entire apartment/home.
Fast forward 20 years. The old Yankee candles I know so well may “look” the same, the lid (which is what one is what one should smell for the real scent, not the wax) has the same smell, but that’s fool’s gold my friend. Yankee’s been sold 4 or 5 times now, and I’ve personally noticed the scent has gone down with each sale. Having worked for the company, I notice that Yankee’s current product is nothing more than cheap colored paraffin with some fragrance. (Votivo uses soy wax and essential oils for their wildly popular Currant scent, and Yankee blew them out of the water in the beginning.).
Candles manufactured these days place a small amount of oil in the top one-quarter portion of the wax, so what smells magnificently pungent at first, dies down quickly when burning, and one is left to ask: “…did you smell my candle when you came in?” While I continue to buy the now-affordable Yankee brand, it is always disappointing when it loses its scent so quickly after lighting. Too bad, because Yankee was once envied by other candle companies, especially for having unusual scents, not to mention the world’s best vanilla.
We must burn 2 large Yankee jars in our 1,100 s/f condo, which lightly permeates to the back rooms in order to get a proper ole-Yankee-Candle-made-in-Maine scent. We spent $30 on one candle back then, as the company rarely placed them on sale due to demand. Now, we spend $30 on TWO candles (with a $5 coupon at a big box store). So folks, Yankee still gets our $30, and we get a increased degree of scent that makes our olfactory senses a bit more content. Win-win? Not so much. Wish they’d realize they could make more money with their original “recipes.”

I impulse bought this candle wanting something autumn themed and I’m so glad that I did, It smells incredible. It smells like sweet cooked apple, pumpkin and spices but isn’t sickly and over powering like I find a lot of food scented candles can be. Well worth buying the larger jars since they last so long and really look great as a centrepiece.

I love Yankee Candles but are these coming from an old storage? Smelled funny and it was melted. Will be returning.

It’s such a light fragrance you barely smell it. I ended up choosing my Woodwick candles all the time instead. Not recommended.

This candle smells divine! I am a big Yankee candle fan and I use them throughout my home. Some are a little odd for my palate but not this one. It is a firm favourite and festive too. Looks great with the Christmas Yankee accessories.

The neck of the candle jar has a big chunk of glass missing. The broken glass was inside the box. Totally gutted as it was a Christmas present for my daughter and a lot of hassle to return to the USA which would cost nearly £16 to return. Not happy at all.
