I should probably give this a lower rating but since I fixed the issue I’ll give it a three… when received and plugged in the amp powered right up and has a much bigger sound than you would expect for its size… however, it became apparent immediately, that there was a loose screw inside the amp shaking on the speaker cone that was distorting the sound with every heavy chord… after some small work the piece was removed and all works well… most consumers would not have wanted to take the piece apart… you expect something to work as soon as you receive it. Honestly would have received 5 stars if not for that anomaly.

Edit: I have to bump the review to 5 stars for the vendor’s response. Having read my initial review they emailed me and refunded me a portion of the purchase price for the work that needed done on this. Honestly, you expect something to work out of the box and that was disappointing but I got it working and the vendor cared about the fact that it required more work than it should have on my end.

Bon son, par contre trop grosse différence entre le volume très bas, exemple à 1 vs 3 sur le niveau volume. J’aurais préféré une meilleur gradation du volume. Pour le reste, petit format qui se transporte bien et bon rapport qualité(son)/prix

Pros: Great price! Slim and compact. Knobs have a nice feel to them. Pretty well built. I like the controls being placed on the top back along with the input and headphones jack. Also, i like the 1/4 inch jack for the headphones.

Cons: I’ve gotten the sound decent, but I can’t use the treble, middle, bass knobs on clean. I hear bad distortion when playing heavy chords. Someone suggested this might be an acoustic amp. I’m not sure. I have an electric guitar with EMG pickups. Interestingly, I hear the distortion in both the speaker and through the headphones jack. I will try to determine with tests that it is the amplifier distorting or clipping the heavy chords and post back to here. If I plug headphones directly into my guitar, I do not hear the distortion, but the audio is maybe too soft to notice.

I’m reviewing this as what it is: a small practice or bedroom amp that is portable.

In that capacity, this amplifier works well. In a world that is so obsessed with “modeling” technology and trying to cram too much into a small amplifier, this is a nice change of pace. It doesn’t do much, but, what it does do, it does well. The controls are pretty straight forward, and the gain knob will take you from a nice break up to full distortion. I think it works best at the slight break up end of the spectrum. The sound is good.

The fit and finish are impeccable. The tolex covering is smooth and even. I’ve seen much higher priced amplifiers in this class that don’t give near the first impression that this does.

Bottom line is this, it’s a good amplifier for around $40. It sounds good, does the job, and looks fantastic. I’ve only had mine for a week or so, so I can’t comment on how long it will last. Seems like with normal use it should last awhile.

My son it’s taking guitar lessons, we got him a new electric guitar and he needed an amp. This little guy sounded much better that we expected. Some reviews mention about interference or buzz sound, but we haven’t heard none of this. It a clear sound, the volume can be very loud so you need to regulate the volume on the guitar and then set the one on the amp. The plug for the headphones work great. Now, remember this is a simple amp, it’s not a famous make or anything, but if you’re learning to play or just want to hang with family and play something this would do.

This is my first amo and we got this to use with my son’s electronic drums. It’s in his bedroom and the sound is perfect.

It’s got a bit more white background noise than other speakers I’ve heard but I’m not sure if that’s a normal thing for amplifiers.

I would have liked a jack for headphones that is the same size as the aux headphone jack size (3.5). This one is the next bigger size so you have to get another pair of headphones if you want those.

But I would get it again. We’ve been satisfied with it.

After I connected it for the first time it started making a continuous sound that started low and grew until it reached a maximum and then stayed constant. If I try to play around with the volume and the button available I make it worse and it makes weird sounds. It sounds as if it was “charging”, the same sound you would hear under a high voltage pylon. Guitar works for a few seconds until the amp reaches like a threshold and then would produce its own sounds. I tested the guitar on other amps and it works perfectly.

This is very clearly a production issue. Very unsatisfied will return it if I do not find a solution.

Please drop a comment if you can help me.

I bought this amp for a specific purpose, to wit, to have an amp I can carry in the milk crate I use on my Vespa scooter. This fits perfectly and I can use it when I need to take my scooter to practice.

But it turns out that I think this is a pretty nice amp too. It sound decent and is reasonably loud. Now you’re not going to compete with 100 watt Marshall stacks but for practice in a small room, if everyone keeps things at a reasonable level, it will work.

Not really happy with this. I keep picking up some sort of radio feedback – I can almost hear the people talking when I have this on – even without distortion. I have top quality cables – several different brands – and this is replicated with various cables and 3 different electric guitars I own. This didn’t really happen with my old Fender amp…

I both two of those and for the price it’s a great price . I had first watched a review on youtube and has expected made enough noise and quality for my kids .

Great sound for a small thing, very portable. Put it on the deck and enjoy.
