Purchased this to solve WiFi issues in my two-story house (approx. 2,100 sqft). I now have strong signal all over the house, including immediate outside areas.
PROs:
– Excellent build quality
– Very nice design
– Super easy and intuitive setup
– Plethora of advanced system settings
– Dramatically improves Signal-to-Noise Ratio
CONs:
– (sort of) Price. You’re paying for a high quality product.

Solid Signal with triband and gig ports on both main and satellite units. Running a 200 mbps broadband and getting full signal on wifi over 2500 sft without signal drop or latency. Setup using net gear app is easy. The design of the unit is simplistic and blends with any home decor and looks very premium. Highly recommend to any home mesh buyer (Used alongwith on AIRTEL Xtream Nokia router extending Orbi from one of its LAN port )

The day I got this after extensive research I was a happy man with no missed/ cracking voice meetings to a distant room.
But this works well with satellite if u just get the router the same wall obstruction will haunt you in meetings.

I bought this to replace an older DD-WRT Netgear router that failed. My ~2,500 sq ft house is over 100 years old with really thick walls and I had problems getting a good wi-fi signal upstairs farthest away from the router. I thought a mesh wi-fi system would be a good option. Netgear Orbi seemed to be the best value for money based on reviews. The Orbi main unit certainly looks more attractive in the bookshelf than the old Netgear box.
I used the Orbi app on Android to set up the system. Setup was easy and the router and the satellite unit connected right out of the box. On the downside, reboots between settings changes take a LONG time. I replaced the SSID and wi-fi pass code with my old router ones, and all my devices (including 2.4GHz only IoT ones) connected straight away. The router web administration UI is pretty basic compared to DD-WRT, but sufficient to my needs. Running speed tests and streaming from multiple devices at the same time, I was able to saturate my 100Mbps broadband easily from everywhere in my house.
HOWEVER: My PC that was about 15 ft from the main Orbi unit and 10 ft from the satellite unit kept on constantly losing its wi-fi connection. When I powered down the satellite unit, I got perfect connection. The solution was to move the satellite unit as far away from the main unit as possible and lower the main unit signal strength to 75% from the web UI. It took some time to find the appropriate setting in the Web UI so this is probably not something a non-techie would easily figure out.
All in all, the Orbi seems to be a solid product but for houses less than 3,000 sq.ft., the satellite unit is not really necessary.

Orbi RBK20, the device that sorted my WiFi at home. Considered choices between Single Dual-Band devices and the mesh routers. And, I went it for this as it looked promising. Delivers as promised. Only thing I need to figure out is, how to connect it to Alexa.

Seamless WiFi coverage across the Apartment. Good product.
DNS setting had to be changed as some devices were not able to connect to internet (Solution found on the web).

The Orbi has given me great wi-fi signal where I had poor reception before. In other words it did exactly what I wanted. Installation would have been easy if Netgear’s instructions were better — I had to fumble a bit to get it to work. They also should tell you that installing Orbi with a FiOS router requires a slightly different procedure. I stumbled across this fact, and Verizon’s directions, by pure accident. Finally, I’m told that the Orbi should be configured as an Access Point. Netgear’s online help tells me to use their app to go to an Advanced menu — which doesn’t seem to exist on my Orbi model. So is it working as an AP or not? Is that why the HEOS and remote apps can’t find my Denon receiver? They worked before I installed Orbi. No help from Netgear on this issue. BTW, Netgear asked me to write this review on their site. They then told me to click a link to go to Amazon, sign in, and press CTRL-V and it would automatically be pasted here. Guess what — those instructions were wrong too. My advice: buy the Orbi, but make sure to Google for better instructions before you install.

UPDATE: discovered the problem on another website. Apparently new Samsung phones have a Wi-Fi security app installed that was blocking the installation of the Orbi. I had to turn off my Wi-Fi protection in order to get it to connect, which is fine at home but then I have to remember every day to turn it back on before I leave the house. What a pain. The Orbi appears to be working now, however Orbi tech should have known this and not wasted my three or four hours of trying to resolve the problem. Also it should work with any security setting that Samsung, or any other manufacturer, has on their new phones. Netgear, please fix this issue!
Another product that is a nightmare to set up. I first went on to Google play on my Samsung s9 plus new phone, and uploaded the app. Using my Samsung phone I connected the device through the app following the instructions to the t. So far so good. i checked my Alexa devices and they all seem to connect fine, I checked my Samsung tab and it connected fine. I went out and connected my rachio sprinklers and that seemed to connect fine. Then I looked at my phone and it had disconnected the Wi-Fi on my phone and everything was being done by data. Unplugged, plug-in, reset everything. Reset my phone. Still can’t connect to the internet on my phone. Spent 30 minutes trying to find a phone number for orbi, finally found one. 2 hours on the phone with tech support and they were still unable to fix it, I had to hang up because I had to get to work. this is not a simple device to set up, I have plugged in my five year old Netgear low-end router and it’s working just great now. I will be sending this back. why would they not have a device that works with the newest phones?

My home is 2500 square feet, so this router/satellite combo (RBR20/RBW30) seemed like a good fit. But it didn’t work for me. I could not get good bandwidth for devices that connected to the satellite. The best I could get for devices connected to the satellite was 1 or 2 bars (out of 4). I tried placing the satellite in every room of my home, but it didn’t help.
The good news is this. When I unplugged the satellite, I got a full 4 bars for all my devices throughout the home, since they connected directly to the router. I tried devices in every room, and the router alone was better than the router + satellite. So apparently this router is good enough to reach every room of the house with no mesh network needed (and the mesh network only making signal/bandwidth worse).
I’m satisfied with the router, but not with the price of the full mesh network that is not helpful. I am returning the router/satellite pair (for which I paid $180 + tax) and ordering just the router, which is now $100 on Amazon.
