It’s ok – it only provides heat in the hand pocket and the heat gets trapped in the pocket instead of radiating to the rest of the body the throw is covering. It’s great for a hand warmer however.
It’s too small to be called a blanket and is just enough to cover an adults lap.
The fleece is soft on the heated side and the other side is a weather resistant material.

I can not make it work. I plan to return it as it will not work for Ski days … as we bought it for … during covid we are expected to stay outside of all lodges even in our home town so this looked like a great option
after 48 hours of charging, it turns off directly , but the blanket blinks incessantly Did not come with instructions and proclaimed warranty was not inclosed. Maybe not broken just not self explanatory .
Super bummed.

The Eddie Bauer Heated Throw is a soft warming throw. The package I received was missing the proper instructions for the smart controls. I obtained them from the manufacturer and added them to this review to assist others. This heated throw is simple to install on the network and the app is easy to use. It works well with Alexa commands as long as you remember to stated “Alexa, ask RH Sleep to… With the Alexa voice commands, you can turn the heated throw on, off, set the heat level and set a timer.

This is COMPLETE JUNK I read the reviews before I purchased it and bought it anyway being pretty technically savy I thought I could surely manage to get it working but let me tell you, it’s been a long time since I’ve gotten so aggravated at something. This is not a premium product this is a pile of garbage I cannot believe Eddie Baer has there name on it. Trust me save yourself what I’ve done to myself and just keep on looking. Would not wish this on my worst enemy!

The app and connection don’t work, and there’s no way to control the temperature manually.

I got this for my parents as the temperature has been dropping, and my mom immediately cozied up with it on the couch and has been using it 24/7 (she even took it with her to bed). They have it synced with their Alexa but honestly just the on/off toggle has been enough for them (but using voice commands to change the temperature is pretty neat). There are also instructions on how to wash which is nice; most heated blankets do not have that option (and that was important to my mom). All in all, a great warm gift that will serve them well all throughout winter!

This blanket was not as advertised. I purchased it for its WiFi capabilities because I love smart gadgets that connect to my Google Home. I gave it to my wife as a Christmas present. (She also loves smart gadgets). She was really happy but upon setting up the blanket we discovered RHH (the company that provides the WiFi service for this blanket) did not yet have their brand integrated into Google’s software. This was disappointing because the product advertised that it worked with Google Home. I reached out to the RHH customer service and they replied a few days later with a link to their Google integration work-around. I downloaded the work-around and applied it to my Google Home app. However, all this did is allow Google to recognize the blanket. It could not control the blanket itself which is the entire reason I bought it. For example you could not say “Okay Google set RHH blanket to level 6”. You were not even able to turn it on and off with Google. Being a tech-savvy Gen Z-er I tried everything. I created multiple routines that would tell the blanket what to do. I tried to allow my Google to recognize the RHH app so that it had more control. I really wanted this blanket to work because I thought it was a really cool idea. Sadly, due to RHH’s failure to integrate their software and Eddie Bauer’s failure to hire a quality smart appliance provider; nothing worked. Their customers service had nothing more they could help with and it seems like they really half heartedly made this product. For $85 I just cannot justify this blanket. My wife and I were disappointed and we returned the blanket. If you want something close to a smart heated blanket you are much more well off buying a $25 simple heated blanket from Target and plugging it in with a $5 Smart WiFi plug. This will at least allow you to turn it on and off with your Google Home and will also cost you way less than this $85 Eddie Bauer junk blanket. Which is exactly what my wife and I did. Also, the Eddie Bauer blanket is pretty soft and warm but not any better than your average heated blanket. Complete waste of money in my opinion. Hope this helps!
