Not all food is going to work for all dogs. This is one of the foods I often fed my Newfoundlands and they did good on it with fur/skin/health. I don’t feed the newfies puppy food when puppies, just adult food and they grow up big and healthy, maybe a little slower, but that’s not a bad thing with a giant breed. It was easy and convenient to order dog food instead of picking up from the store.

I been feeding this for to my dogs for years! But recently the food is harder and I don’t think my dogs like it anymore. They left part of the food and I think the eat it because they have too. Also I have medium size dogs. I guess is better for bigger dogs!

I’ve never seen big dog variety before. It took my dogs a little time to get used to this but now they love it!!
It promotes them to slow down and eat now. It’s amazing! I can crush it for my smaller dogs even or use a hot broth to soften it.
For the value, I almost fell out of my chair when I seen how much this GIGANTIC 36lb bag was!!! I literally pay more than 3 times for this much of the regular pedigree flavors. I was so skeptical as to why it was so cheap and why i’ve never seen this variety before. But I did my research and see it’s just not around here. For sixteen bucks, this lasts 2 months and my 6 furbabies are thrilled with it!

I have an 80 pound lab/retriever mix dog who gobbles this food down. She seems to really like the flavor of the food because there is never any leftovers in her bowl. The food is dry but look appetizing even to a human’s point of view. We feed our dog one medium scoop in the morning and one at night. She is bouncy and has a shiny black coat so I think this food suits her well. I’ve tried other brands of dry dog food but my dog, while she eats them, seems to like Pedigree the best. I would recommend.

This food honestly could be better, but I mix this with protein like a can of tuna or chicken and I feel like it probably tips the scales in my favor as far as health goes. Maybe the company will recognize the growing trend for healthier kibble and adjust accordingly, but until then this is a reasonably priced dog food that I can get in bulk.

First 2 ingredients listed on package are CORN, then poultry by-product. So it is false advertising on Amazon to say “Roasted Chicken Rice & Vegetable Dry Dog Food.” The package adds “FLAVORED.” So it is chicken flavored. Notwithstanding, a problem I have with this food is that my 2 big dogs like it too much and are gaining weight! Its like my Golden Retriever went from 70 to 80 lb; & my lab from 90 to 100. With Pedigree, my Golden doggie is likely to lie her head on the bowl & chow down. They never showed such interest in Aldi’s el cheapo dog food or with Purina. So I am going to have to go back to Aldis to get them something they won’t get fat on or maybe Purina.
My practice has been to give them each a bone with some raw beef on first to spoil their appetite before I let them eat all the dry dog food they want. And this worked before I got Pedigree. So I will probably keep giving them some Pedigree because they like it, but limit that & put out more of something they don’t like too much.
BTW, this pair of dogs for me are perfect guard dogs because they are big & bark at strangers who often are scared; yet they are harmless & would probably lick a crook if he climbed the fence. And they are happy in cold & wet conditions.

I have english mastiff. He needs larger morsels or they get stuck in his jowls. These are perfect size. We have been through lots of food and none compared to the size of this… and he likes it a plus
