Respooled 4 ice fishing rods with Trilene MicroIce and it is a very Smooth line. Very flexible and worked extremely well even in -20C conditions. 6lb test was used and the biggest fish we caught was a 10lb Northern Pike. Definitely love Berkeley’s products.

Don’t put the line on your spool. Just use it for a leader.

Well I’ll say I like trilene, and have even used this in the past with great success. However I’m not sure how long this stuff was on the shelf , because it spooled off in an awful mess. Luckily I know an old school trick to fix it. Had to soak the spool in water for a week to knock the memory out of it, then it spooled up fine.

I put new line on my ice poles every season — this stuff is great. I’ve pulled everything from smaller pan fish to LARGE large mouth bass. I definitely recommend and will always buy Trilene line.

I spooled my ultra light reel for ice fishing and liked it so much that i kept it for the spring and summer and I was suprised but it works great. I’ve caught plenty of bluegill, and perch and even alot of large mouth bass.

Product is fine, but this colour isn’t what I ordered.
At time of order:
Product name and image specifically said Colour = ‘Clear Steal’.
It STILL says ‘Clear Steal’, but the image has since changed to ‘Solar’ (being NOT clear, but bright green).
The detailed description say ‘Solar’, but who now knows what is right or wrong.
I separately ordered and received a ‘Clear Steal’ under a different listing… but even that listing now says ‘Solar’ as well as per above, in the description only.
Very annoying.

No idea why, after 3rd outing you could snap the line with your fingers. Pulled off about 20 yards. Could tied a good solid knot…2nd outing, you could snap the line with no effort. In fact a 4 inch baby bluegill could snap the line . Had to respool the real. I was Really disappointed

It’s pretty good and works better to keep ice off the line than regular fishing line, but ice still gets on it. Oh well, better than normal line still!

Was fishing for crappie and bluegill with this, managed to get a 22″ walleye up through the ice hole on it- broke right as we got him out but i was impressed we were able to get him in. Was great. Didn’t know the line was lime green but the fishing is no different.

This line is a medium green colour that is as visible as clear monofilament. It is not suitable for trout unless it’s paired with a less-visible (fluoro) leader. Without a leader, it is sufficient for panfish, bluegill, and perch.

Not sure how long this was sitting in the warehouse but it won’t stay on the reel unwinds the second you relieve tension leaving a mess. Berkeley makes great fish line otherwise.

I ordered this product assuming it would come as the picture shows. Unfortunately when i opened the package I got a plastic baggy filled with loose fishing line not on a reel or in a box. Even though it was a good price I would not reccomend buying this product.

It’s small test ice line and in a cool colour.
I slapped it on a youth rod and the kids smash rock bass and perch off the dock all day long! They love the bright colour… kids not fish.
