I had watched series 1 & 2 at my son’s house with him & my dgtr in law. It was sooo good! Back at home we don’t have HBO & I wanted my husband to see it because I knew he would love it as much as I did. I ordered both seasons for him to enjoy. I ended up watching it with him & loved it again for the 2nd time around!

I watched this with my elder parents and it kept us all entertained. The only thing you need to watch out for is if you skip the intro on the second season it skips an important scene, because it’s attached to it. It’s a slapping seen. My parents and I realized this, because in the next scene the slap is being discussed and we all kind of looked at each other like “when did that happen”. We went back and watched the scene, but it’s definitely attached to the intro for some reason. If this happened at other times we were unaware of it, so I recommend fast forwarding through the short intro song to be sure. Besides that flaw, I recommend this short series.

I paid for this so I kept watching and watching until I simply couldn’t, so I stopped. Ok, ok, I get it, they have a fabulous location along the coast but being there and seeing it on a screen is not the same thing. Over and over and over these shots of coast, ocean, waves and sand. Then this contrived plot device of having a horrific murder but then roasting viewers hour after hour with contrived phony suspense with cut-ins of strangers giving commentary on what we hardly can care about anyway because we have no idea who did it. Oh! But they then build up how many people maybe did it. So that can all be overlooked. Then the parade of one monster, animal violent man after another. Men with a passion for rape-sex. Here’s the problem, a cast with. such talent but a vehicle (poorly done with so many gimmicks) that really is selling anger, violence and hate. That good looking man, pulling in a great paycheck well wait until you are married to him and find out hat he really is about. Meet an interesting man in. Baar and go some place alone with him and be glad you got out with your life. Monster, monster. It bothers me the coldness of this whole portrait. It bothers me how exploitive it is. Sure is gathers stories of long suffering mothers and small children there certainly is something there. I just wish someone had given me a warning. Anything, So I figured I’d try.

So disappointed. The first dvd won’t play. It freezes at the “Warning” portion of the video Tried disc one of season 2 and it played just fine though. Would be nice to be able to watch the episodes in order. Why did I have to get the defected one. Such a waste of time and money.

I purchased this series because I do not have HBO. It was the best series and cast of women that I have seen in years!!
