We wanted light-blocking mustard yellow curtains for a 94″ wide window. Not many ready-made options. The fabric is closer to canvas than linen. They have a casual vibe, but at least they have some texture and look better than the usual smooth room-darkening curtains that feel like a cross between polyester and rubber. The lining is a similar color mustard gold (or goldenrod? Maize? Definitely not gold like the metal or yellow like an actual dandelion). So they won’t work if you want all your curtain linings white to look uniform from the street. The curtains can be hung by rod pocket or back tab. We used the back tabs. They block a lot more light than our old curtains, which were sold as “thermal lined, energy saving, light filtering”. People who are looking for true blackout curtains may not find these adequate, but they are enough for us to get decent sleep in the morning (even after getting rid of ugly blinds). You will need a sturdy rod and drywall anchors, because the curtains are heavy. Make sure the ends of the rod are installed well beyond the edge of the window, because the curtains are about 19″ wide when fully open. You will also need to iron or steam them; the wrinkles don’t just fall out after hanging, but they iron easily. We have them hung about 2″ below our 8 ft ceiling (rod was already there), and we will need to hem about 4 inches eventually. This type of fabric isn’t dressy enough to look good puddled. We used rods to open and close our old curtains, but the back tabs on these are too wide, so we need to pull the actual curtains when we want to open or close them, at least until we get around to figuring out a different way to attach the rods. We would definitely buy more if we needed them for another casual room. They are labeled dry clean only, but most likely we won’t be cleaning them for a long time. Will post a revised review if they fade quickly or otherwise don’t hold up.

Found these on HPD, but this color was sold out and pricing was better on Amazon anyway. Great looking drapes for the price! I have textured Linen blend drapes from Restoration Hardware at 3 or 4 x the price and if you don’t look right up at them….. they look very very similar. For my bedroom I was totally fine with this. Great find/buy! I think they will provide the light blocking I am looking for, our current blackout shades have sun coming in at the edges.

I bought 4 panels 100×96 birch. they are beautiful curtains, well stitched with a nice drape and feel. Really disappointed that only 2 panels were actually 96″, the other two are 97′ which is exactly 1″ too long. Now i’ll have to shorten the 2 panels or pay someone, on top of the cost of the panels.

These drapes are heavy weight. I hung them by ring clips, and it was a bit of a challenge due to the wide tabs meant for sliding through the rod. But it worked. On the color: These are a very light shade of grey. There is NOTHING beige about them. I hung them in a room that was just painted a very light shade of grey, and they blend beautifully.

Very happy for the price. We got the 108 inch length. They feel like linen and do a good job darkening the room ( although some light still comes through during the day). They are heavy and the rings I bought didn’t work well to hang them—we had to use just the rod. And insert the drapes through the back sleeve.

I bought a boatload of these drapes for my new house. Started hanging them today…3 months after I bought them. EVERY single one has uneven hemlines varying as much as 2 inches. Of course, the return window has closed. It is ridiculous that curtains such as these don’t have something as simple as a straight hem. One would think…

Beautiful, heavy fabric blocks light, hangs gracefully, and looks great. Wrinkles press out nicely. I bought three panels for use on a 72-inch bedroom sliding door. I pleated 2 panels to use together on a one-way traverse rod on the window itself, and cut up the third panel to cover a wood cornice across the top. It all worked great. The drapes block the light from the window, and the cornice blocks the light above the window. The linen-like fabric is bonded to a satiny lining fabric, which gives it body and makes it easy to work with.

I was on a hunt for a blackout drapery that is functional and beautiful. I found my soulmate curtains! This drapery is just what I was looking for. I would say It darkens the room by 90% of light on a sunny day. I bought two of 100 W X 96 H in Birch color for each of my window. They sold out real fast too!

I bought two 100×84 birch color, very happy with the quality and look of the curtains. I am planning to six of 50×96 panel of the same color for the dinning room. but after I read the on-line reviews on the complicated, troublesome returns with HPD, I decided not to purchase from them, and go with somebody else. Why cannot they go with the standard Amazon Return Policy? I don’t like surprises that waste my time.
