We just got this piece today. We were soooo excited to put it together. We unpacked everything, got out tools together and started to go to work. First step was to put dowels in holes, hit them with a mallet so that they were tight. WRONG!!! We started to put the dowels in, but they slipped in and out and were not tight at all. We called Amazon and got a very understanding person. She tried to help and gave me the contact information of
SimpliHome. It was extremely difficult to understand their representative, but he gave me their website to put in a complaint. So now there are parts of this media stand all over my family room and nothing can go together until this problem can be resolved. Oh and BTW, we spent the entire afternoon looking for bigger dowels that might fit the pre-drilled holes. We bought several packs of dowels, but none fit. I now believe the holes are too large to fit the dowels rather than the dowels being too small to fit the holes. This could be a very nice media stand if only we could get it together. :-[
We finally got it together. It seems the dowels were just for alignment. We found that some of the screws were too large, but all in all it seems to be a nice unit. The fact that it can hold more weight than other units in th he same price range is a good thing. The compartments are nice, so I am raising my review to 4 stars.

Built well, everything aligns correctly, looks REALLY good but the color isn’t anywhere close to what is shown in the photos. There’s lots of blue and orange. I’ve bought a LOT of Simpli furniture and this is the only one that I’m kinda of dissapointed in as I really liked it, but it didn;t match anything I had.

It looks great, I like the texture of the wood. Arrived promptly and in good shape. It requires assembly but was not difficult. My only complaint is that I had a difficult time adjusting the doors. I think they might not stay straight if used frequently.

Bought this to put underneath a hanging 55 in TV. Sound bar sits nicely on top. Did not need the two cut out circular cable mgmt holes in the middle section (one per shelf) , so I taped some pieces of matching laminate from a home improvement store over them on the back, and now the back looks solid. Made of acacia wood, which on the outside, has a rougher (but not splintery!) finish. Looks like it will not scratch very easily, which is great. Love the black metal legs. The only problem my husband had building it was putting on the doors..they are not attached super tight, but that’s the way the hinge works. The shelf looks nice. It is a medium to darker piece of furniture, and very solid. I love it.

I bought this console because my hifi equipment weighed too much for my previous unit and I was concerned that gravity would become an inconvenient guest in my listening experience.
This console is incredible. Sturdy, beautiful, and such an incredible price for the build quality. Even the real wood smells incredible! I was so floored by the quality and ease of construction.
Plus they didn’t skimp on extra hardware, with plenty of additional screws, nails and washers that I’ll keep them in my parts bin in case future disassembly causes any issues.
Seriously if this thing is the look you’re needing don’t hesitate! This is such orders of magnitude better than the cheap MDF you see in the same price bracket. Buy it! Just get it!

The stand itself was pretty heavy duty, looks great, and has a textured finish on the exterior which was mentioned in other reviews. My issue: I assembled the whole thing and like another reviewer both doors were cracked. I contacted the manufacturer through the Amazon provided link and they said to return it by having Amazon pick it back up. Rather than going through all that trouble I will use it without the doors. Seems like a company could just replace or provide the broken pieces.

Like most people, I read a lot of reviews but rarely post one of my one. It takes an exceptionally positive or negative experience for me to feel compelled to share it online. Unfortunately, this was a negative experience for me.
I spent hours looking for an entertainment center and this one fit the bill perfectly. Solid wood, clean profile, cable holes, drawers to keep most things tucked out of sight, I couldn’t wait to get it delivered!
When I opened the box and took out the first piece, I was SO happy with the quality and appearance of the wood. However, what I didn’t realize is that what I had taken out was the very bottom piece which has a smooth finish on both sides. As I took out the next few pieces, I discovered that all of the front facing pieces and the top of the tv stand have an *extremely* textured finish and does not look at all like the pictures. I was so disappointed because I could not tell from any of the pictures that the finish was not smooth. I packed everything right back up and returned it. I never would have considered buying this if I knew what it really looked like. I found this tv stand on 3+ furniture sites (Amazon had the best price plus free delivery) and since they all features the same seller photos and no one posted any in their reviews, there was no way to see what this looked like up-close before ordering.
The quality of the wood is extremely high, the smooth surfaces were absolutely gorgeous and the pieces were very solid. This item actually weighs 109 pounds so it is heavier than the listing states. There were some minor scuffs on a few of the pieces that I unpacked that I was pretty disappointed to see so even if I had liked the textured finish, I’m not sure if I would have kept the one that I received.
Hopefully this helps someone else avoid the same disappointment I experienced!
