Good quality for the price. It’s well built and sturdy. It is currently holding up a 27″ LG IPS monitor and retains it’s full range of motion.
UPDATE 2/2020: I changed my setup around and mounted the monitor up a bit higher from my desk and found that this doesn’t tilt down at all. It can tilt upwards about 45 degrees just fine but honestly I’m not sure who would actually need a WALL mounted VESA arm to tilt in that direction?? I tried flipping the plate but found they use pentalobe screws to secure it in place. I may try and source the right size driver for it and give the plate a flip. That would solve my gripe with it. Only use it if you plan on keeping your panel at 90 degrees, other wise you’re going to have some neck pain.

I’ve been using this for about three weeks now, in combination with the laptop tray from the same range. It’s attached to the wall, fully extended, and there’s a 4.8kg ASUS ROG G703GI-E5005R gaming laptop sitting on it, which it’s handling with no problem at all.

The actual unit is sturdy, and well made, and like a previous reviewer, I think it’s actually a rebadged Ergotron LX, which is considerably more expensive. Even with the beast of a laptop sitting on it, it’s not showing any signs of moving and the wall mount is holding firm. I’m happy to trust it with a £2K laptop, so that says something.

It took about ten minutes to get assembled and attached, and the instructions weren’t really needed – which is good, because they are the weak point for me, as they’re in pictograms rather than actual words, and I hate those!

Overall, a really good unit, and despite it being part of the Basics range, in reality it’s anything but. Definitely recommended.

I have used this to mount a 27″ Dell monitor to the wall in our home office.

It comes with huge anchor bolts, and so is unlikely to come loose if fitted to a solid wall or into a stud.

The mount itself is quite heavy, which give a good impression that it is up to the job of handling heavy monitors, whilst providing a sturdy platform and a good range of adjustability to move your screen position once mounted to the wall.

Has some simple cable management features which is always a priority for me as I can’t stand to see cables dangling from behind my screens.

Overall, very pleased and I would not hesitate to highly recommend this mount.

A few things about installation that you’ll want to know before you buy:

    1) The lag screws that hold the mounting bracket to the wall have a metric head (13mm), so you might not have a wrench/socket set that fits well – 9/16″ is the closest socket I had laying around my garage. But even if you have a wrench that fits, it hardly matters, because…
    2) The recess on the wall bracket that the screw head fits into is only _slightly_ wider than the head itself. This means that once you have the screw tightened most of the way, the socket or wrench can no longer seat onto the screw to tighten it any further. I ended up jamming some washers behind the head to keep it tight against the wall.
    3) The built-in channel for cables is only large enough for power, video, and a couple more. I connect my monitor to 2 different PCs, and also use it as a USB hub, so I ended up just using zipties on all those cables.

Once up, this product works just fine to hold my 34″ monitor, which is actually heavier than it says it can hold (just crank down the vertical tension bolt).

The bracket arm was easy to install and is very sturdy, I use it with a 27inch 7.2Kg touchscreen and when typing on the screen there is hardly any monitor movement even when the arm is fully extended. I have set the 2 tension adjusting screws about halfway thus I presume the arm would handle much heavier monitors. Positioning the monitor is effortless and the monitor nearly always stays wherever you position it, I say nearly always as my monitor doesn’t stay in portrait , this is due to my vesa fixings being near the top of my monitor and thus when I turn the monitor to portrait the vesa fixings are to one side and the monitor drops one side in this portrait position, not an issue for me but I presume if the vesa fixings are central then this wouldn’t be an issue. Also not every monitor position is achievable, positions are dependant on the positions of the lower and upper arms, for example I can have my monitor flat High up but as I drop the upper arm I have to tilt the screen slightly, this isn’t a complaint just an observation – as the multi positions achieved with this arm far exceeds expectations, I now enjoy using the touchscreen monitor both seated and standing up. Another nice thing about this arm is just being able to push the monitor right back, lift up the arm and just enjoy the desk space I forgot I had, enjoy!

This is a prime example (no pun intended) of why Amazon has become the best online retailer out there. When it comes to your everyday basic products, the recent influx of Amazon branded equipment takes the cake. They make products that are cheap, function exceptionally well, and are delivered to you at your door sometimes the same day. Because of the data on other products directly on their site, I feel like Amazon develops products of their own that address common issues they see, hereby learning from other manufacturer’s mistakes. I highly recommend the Extension for LX Arm

Ergotron 45-289-026 LX Extension for LX Arm (Polished Aluminum)

to give you more accessibility, both up and down, left and right from the spot mounted on the wall.

I’m using both products on the side of my fireplace using this monitor,

LG 34″ WFHD (2560×1080) 21:9 UltraWide IPS, Sleek Cut Freesync Monitor 34UM59-P

you get an incredible amount of range. The tool used to tighten the spring is easily adjustable to increase or decrease tension.

The only issue would be the wires that run back through the arm to the wall. If you plan to hide more than two cords, tucking the wires into the under belly of the arm, make sure you leave plenty of slack on the “elbos”. You’ll have a vast range to move the screen, just make sure the wires adjust accordingly, because the monitor glides so smoothly that you could end up snapping a wire if it gets caught. I purchased these

VELCRO Brand One Wrap Thin Ties, Black, 8 x 1/2-Inch, 100 Count (91140)

to make sure your wires don’t get in harms way.

This product is designed terribly and after using both the provided screws and dry wall screws, the weight of my desktop monitor tore the screws out of the wall dry wall anchors and all! This wall mount only uses 2 hexagon screws while other mounts use 6. This should have been a red flag. I was lucky enough to catch my computer as it came out of the wall 2 hours after installation. This mount literally has put giant holes in our apartment wall and I still can’t even mount my computer. This has been so upsetting. Such a terrible product. I’m only writing this review because if you’re trying to mount your computer monitor, think twice befor this purchase.

DOES NOT TILT DOWN , for some reason a wall mount is designed to make a monitor viewable from the ceiling , has almost 90 degrees of upward tilt. There is also no way to flip the arm , or the end piece to accommodate a downward tilt. Even tho the description says tilt .

I don’t know why this is almost £100. It’s good, but that price… I have some £20 wall mounts that are almost as good.

They should include some proper screws and plugs with this for the price too…

Due to the above, I used some spare screws with 10mm hex heads, but the 10mm socket fouls on the wall mount as you screw it tight so that was fun… not.

Buy some philips screws if you’re purchasing this!

Like numerous others have said, this product was ruined by one defective screw. It looks like a well made product with very solid construction. But it is simply not possible to turn the tilt tension screw. This is the screw that adjusts the plate that attaches to the monitor. Since it won’t turn there’s no way to put the monitor in a useful position. I tried all the standard techniques for freeing a frozen screw, but no dice. I had to send it back for a replacement.
Want to guess what happened with the replacement? Yep. The exact same problem!! So I have to send it back again, this time for a refund.
