Just got it in today- at first look I was impressed with the fabric quality. Then I tried it on and boom, I might as well have seen Jesus in the flesh because this $50 AMAZON label dress shirt fit like a glove (not like the OJ glove) but a perfect fitted dress shirt. So, I’m going to get my initials on the cuff and all it custom because it might as well be. I have always had the worst time with dress shirts (wide upper body, long arms and too much mid-section fabric) and it’s the norm for me to pay a lot for tailoring. Recently I bought shirts from the “Enns Error-houzz” store not too long ago. Paid $100 each for the shirts (that joe abood label) and $45 for tailoring… garbage. Back to the Amazon shirt; arm length perfect and what is most impressive is that the arms are stitched high in the arm pit. I can write a lot more about this, and again, yes, it is at first glance, so I do not know about durability, but who the hell cares? Wear it for a year, 6 months and get another one. Amazon has just merged quality and value.
Thank you to the AMAZON team who put this line together, everyone from their outsourced suppliers, manufacturing teams, supply chain management, and the product managers too. Kudos to you!
One last thing, my only petty gripe. please add one more bottom button/ button-hole. Just a preference for me, because I’m tall’ish.
Thanks for reading if you made it this far.

Another premium luxury dresa shirt from the Buttoned Down collection. The material rivals my sea island cotton shirts with mother of pearl buttons – and rhese fit better!! A fraction of the cost for a superior product? Not only possible, its just a fact. Buy these shirts!!

The second button is much too low, which opens the collar much too wide when unbuttoning the first button. I compared with my other shirts, and the distance between the first and second button is the biggest in my wardrobe. For me, it’s unwearable without a tie. Otherwise, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the fabric and the shirt in general. The shirt fits larger than what I’m used to. I ordered 15.5/32-33 slim-fit and it’s an acceptable size but still significantly larger than my Tommy Hilfiger shirts of the same size. I remove 2 stars for the bad button spacing.

La calidad de esta camisa está muy por encima de su precio. Buen ajuste, buenos acabados, colores duraderos, fácil planchado (dice que no se plancha, pero en general si les hace falta un poco).

I bought three of these shirts. None of which appear to be a real “non-iron” shirt. I was really hoping to standardize on these shirts since I can order a specific sleeve length, but along with that I was hoping to avoid dropping shirts off at the cleaners or spending precious time in the AM ironing a shirt.

They are decent quality shirts and fit as they should. The non-iron is seriously disappointing so I’ll keep looking for a “standard” brand.

Excellent product! I used to spend several hundred dollars on one shirt. I am not joking. But now, all I buy are these Amazon Button Down Shirts. They are amazing! I can’t believe how high the quality is for the price. It feels like I am wearing a much more expensive shirt! Kudos to Amazon on their private label items! Great job!

I have officially fallen in love with Buttoned Down, the amazon men’s clothing company. THey have filled a much-needed hole in the marketplace for men by focusing exclusively on men’s clothing and ensuring that their garments are available in every possible size and body shape. Most shirts come in at least 3 different versions: a “regular” (full figured cut), tailored ((tailored, traditional look) and slim or skinny fit, which are the most form-fitting.

I have always struggled finding clothes in my size. I am very tall (6’2″) with very long legs and arms. In the past, finding a dress shirt with the right sleeve length (37″) meant wearing a shirt that was large enough to fit three of me inside. With Buttoned Down you determine which “cut” best fits your body shape, and then you can order the exact neck, sleeve length, and fit for every shirt. No more compromises.

Another perk is that, although there is not an exhaustive selection of different styles and colors. the difference in the way the shirt fits you makes a HUGE difference in how good the shirt looks. A well fitting dress shirt looks sharp and upscale even when it is just a white shirt. Trust me on this, give these a try. I won’t buy anything else now.

This fit me nicely. Athletic heavy set guy who need something that’s not like an umbrella when I tuck it in to my pants, and this is it.

It’s missing all the flairs, like cut sleeves, but who cares. The buttons on my sleeve are easy to button, they fit well, and not like a parachutes, and they look great.

I’ll be ordering more. If y you’re not fat but you have large shoulders, but need bigger neck, but shorter arm length, but don’t need a lot of extra when you tuck it in your pants, this works out beautifully.

The neck does get dirty quickly and this does shrink quite a lot. Not the length, but shrinks in the neck and arm lengths.

    Overall, good buy.

I bought this shirt for my teenage son in grey-black plaid for a job interview. I measured him before purchase and after washing and drying it did fit as expected. But… I would not call this shirt “tailored”. My son is not skinny, but he is pretty slim and this shirt was quite baggy around the mid section. I wouldn’t call it tailored. It’s been awhile since I’ve purchased a men’s dress shirt, but I think this fits more like a regular fit than a tailored fit.

My son liked it and asked me if I could get him another, which I plan on doing. But the prices are all over the place (and all sold by Amazon so I don’t understand the price difference). I paid $11 for the one I am reviewing right now and at that price I think the shirt was a good deal. I am about to buy another for $14, but I wouldn’t go higher than that. I see some of the colors are $50. This is NOT a $50 shirt. Not at all. Not even close. So… my 4 star review is based on the price a paid. I deducted one star because the abdomen area is baggy and fits nothing like the picture shown. Everything else I liked about the shirt on him.

The fit and choice of colors is great. However, when comparing the quality of material to a Brooks Brothers shirt that can be purchased for $49.99 on sale, this shirt is of much lower quality. The quality of this shirt is between the $18.99 Costco Dress shirts and $49.99 Brooks Brothers shirts. But at a price of $42 it’s not a great value.
