Helps with the sun but will not last a winter. I will be storing the shades for the winter. If I can get two summers out of these shades, I will get my money’s worth. I also like not having strings to raise the shades.

Looks amazing for the price! Very easy to install . I dont like the cord free roll up that well but was happy to compromise for style , color and price. I dont this would hold up outside but inside works well .

Used this to shade one end of my gazebo. Worked perfectly.

This was every thing I had hoped: light, nice color, real wood, outdoor. This shade was for the front porch where we get hot afternoon sun on one side. My wife likes to read there. However, after I had it up, my wife informed me the HOA does not allow it. I thought I would simply roll it up out of sight under the porch roof whenever it was not in use. This would not only protect it from the elements but allow us to have shade without violating the HOA rules. The description made it sound like cordless was actually any improvement. However, since you have to literally roll this up by hand (easy enough) and use the hooks, it would mean getting a ladder each time to reach the 9-ft high attach point (required to be hidden when not using). Too bad. If you can use a shade that can mostly hang without being regularly rolled up, you’ll probably like this.

I’m really unsure why all the bad reviews? We love this! It works great! It was really easy to install, just need to use basic math skills to set hooks the right length apart. The only tools we used were a tape measure, drill and 1/16th drill bit. The hooks are included. Could he installed by one person, but two makes it easier. Did this in less than 20 minutes. We’ll see how well it lasts. It’s relatively sturdy and woven neatly. Would definitely purchase again— great if you’re looking for an affordable outdoor blind. Our deck was 65inch wide and 60 inch tall. The 60inch x 72 inch fits great for this.. you just have a little extra at the bottom which was easily secured away by the included hooks.

I want a refund. My neighbor bought the pvc ones and they are holding up. Although they don’t look as good they are holding up. For how long? If I could give a zero I would. Their info is misleading. These are not breeze or wind friendly. At best they are temporary use/installation. Do not buy these if you live where there is any wind. These are reeds and not bamboo. I’ve had mine less than a week and they are already coming apart. If you read the questions and reply’s section, which I did not do before buying, the company recommends taking them down in the event of wind. They are in my porch so they are exposed to the breeze. So I guess they want you to hang them, use them for that time period then take down when you go inside or done being on the porch. You have to take them down immediately because one could be gone running errands or a sleep and the wind could start. I doubt these will last through the summer. The no cord thing is probably because of lawyers but I find this system a pain in the ass and the plastic clips are tearing up the strings and reeds. On a positive note they look nice and I received good compliments about my new porch look. I’m just not going to hang them up and take down every time I want to use the porch.

Great shade and what I was looking for but the flimsy plastic hooks to hold the shade while rolled up are poor design and cheaply made.

I was extremely pleased how well these bamboo blinds on the outside of our windows helped keep our house cooler during our recent heat wave. The windows aren’t even hot now and we can sit at the kitchen table again . They are also very attractive and seemed to be well made but they have only been up a week.

This bamboo shade sheds! Little shards of bamboo were everywhere when I took it out of the box, unfortunately in my living room…! It is cheaply made and I’m afraid it won’t last through the summer.

What I liked in the product is the material used to hold up each bamboo sticks is durable and installing them is easy. But I think quality of the bamboo or thickness of each stick could have been better and also felt spacing between each stick is around .25 cm. Overall I am kinda ok ok with the purchase. I wanted to cover up one side of the patio and I feel this fits my need.
