Went out to use my hose today and was shocked to find out the the spray nozzle was already broken. The round plastic piece in the neck of the nozzle was broken! Now the good part! When I called this company they answered almost immediately and the very kind lady there listened and when she heard my problem told me that she would send a new spray nozzle to me right away. Its almost unheard of these days to get such a quick and courteous response.

Works great for a couple of months (depending on amount of use) then the retract breaks. “Non fixable”. I’m on my second one, make sure you read the reviews before buying.

SO far so good. Definitely better than expected. At first I was little affraight that I would not be able to install this since I have an aluminum siding on the wall but with little thinking I came up with another method that made it look natural with the face of the home. Since finding a stud behind a siding can be a nightmare, I decided to mount this hose reel on the the wooden frame of my garage door. Even if I ever had to remove this bracket, it would be very easy to patch the screw holes in the frame of the garage. Different story if comes to patching holes in the siding and the external wall behind the siding. So here are the steps I did to hang the Hose Reel; 1. Purchased at Menards 2×6 treated piece of wood that would be appropriate for the outdoor usage. 2. 2 of 1/4×3″ long galvanized deck screws and 4 of 1/4×2 1/2″ screws for outdoor use. The nice thing about these screws is that they are torque style screws (T30) with collar so I didn’t have need for additional washers. They went into the wood very easily and are rated for 1300 ibs of pull weight so in theory should hold the reel in place pretty securely.

After cutting the 2×6 to a correct size, I attached the cut piece to the garage door frame with two of the 1/4×3″ screws with one in the middle top and one in the middle bottom portion of the cut 2×6. Next I painted the 2×6 with spray can to match the color of the door frame. After the paint dried for a few minutes, I attached the reel bracket using the other four screws 1/4×2 1/2″ . I finished everything by caulking the meeting surfaces with silicone.

Last thing, that I wish it came with the reel would be some kind of locking mechanism that would protect the reel from high winds. As it rotates 180 degrees I would not want this whole thing to bounce left to right during high winds. To prevent this, I got a little hook from Menards for outdoor use and screwed in between the reel and the siding to lock the reel in place during the time when I am not using it. Total of extra $12 spent to make it work as good as I could imagine. I”ve also installed the quick connect so its easier to connect different nozzles and/or disconnect it from the water supply. Over all I am glad I bought it.

I just wish the Amazon would upload all pictures the correct way and not upside down or sideway. No idea how to correct this. Sorry!!

I like this product very much, as the mess with the hoses is completely gone.
The hose pulls out easily and retracts smoothly.
I use it for a month and so far no problem.
It needs to be installed on a solid surface or beams. I mounted a board onto the wall as it is heavy, when the hose is filled with water. The workshop looks organized now. I do recommend this product.

Just arrived today and does as advertised. Easy to mount in about ten minutes. Seems to be a quality made product. I had became tired with the stand alone holders and the way they slide around when In use.
All of the negative reviews dealt with the retractable device failing at some point. I purchased the extended warranty for $6 which has taken away that concern(4 yr ext warranty). If any negative issues arise, I will update. Getting the warranty was a must and may not have bought without it.

I bought this hose real and it worked great for a month. Then inside the real it started leaking. So I sent it back. The company replaced it and 3 months later it did the same thing. Now I’m out of warranty. The company will not help me since its been longer then 30 days. Horrible product for only owning something for 3 months.

A plastic piece broke internally in less than 3 months with minimal use and It now pours water out. Excellent idea, poorly executed and cheaply built. I will be looking for a different brand next time.

I was skeptical about this hose reel due to the mixed reviews about it, but so far this has performed very well. I think the problem most people have had with this, is the rolling back of the hose. The best way to avoid roll back issues, is to let it rewind back to the unit slow, holding slight tension on the hose until it gets fully rewound. It may also be best, not to fully extend the hose, leaving a few feet remaining on the reel.

Bought this last fall , installed it this Spring used it twice . It leaks like a screen door on a submarine and the hose will not recoil . It’s now being used as a hose hanger . I need my money back !!! So disappointed in this made in China garbage .

Worked great for 9.5 months. Then water started gushing out. After about three hours I isolated the problem to the piece in the picture. It simple busted. Since the day I received it, the unit had been securely attached to the wall. The only stress it was subjected to was the pulling and recoiling from every day use. The hose reel itself does vibrate quite a bit when extracting or recoiling the hose and this piece appears to be permanently attached to the reel so that could be what stressed it to the point of breaking.
After taking it apart. I also noticed that there were at least two other plastic parts (the pieces that allow the hose to move side to side when pulling out or retracting). These were very flimsy considering the stress they are under and I’m sure it would be a matter of time before they busted.
Overall, the product is well designed but very cheaply made. Manufacturer has a 1 year warranty but I haven’t called because I don’t really want a replacement anyway. Unless they are now using higher quality parts. It is likely to break again.

I may not be the typical install as I bought this and installed in my garage to wash cars in my drive way so it is more protected than an outdoor install BUT that was back in 2012. I only know that because my wife took up gardening and is jealous of the one I have for the cars so I went to look for one for Mother’s Day and noticed the Amazon information bar at top letting me know I had bought this over 6 years ago, I was like ok that meets my bar for a quality product. The only maintenance I have done was a new o-ring for where it attached to water supply which was less than a dollar so overall excellent product. I am just hoping the current model is built like my old one.

Very disappointing. Used one time each weekend the first month, worked flawlessly. On the 5th weekend (30 day return policy), turned water on and the reel started dripping a little water from the bottom. Nothing too terrible, so wasn’t worried as most reel drip some over time. On the 6th weekend, turned hose on now a steady stream of water runs from reel, and to make matters worse, it is very rusty water thst drips from the bottom.

Reel retractor works great, so I assume I just got one that the hose connector came loose (they use some type of compression fitting, so it isn’t just that the hose un-screwed inside the reel). Disappointed with the 30 day return policy given not everyone uses hoses daily, so essentially this started leaking on the 5th use).

It worked well for a few months and now there is a leak inside the unit. The manufacturer is not honoring the one year warranty.
