These are beautiful curtains for a very low price. I was a bit worried that they would look too shiny and synthetic, being polyester, but they are a soft, nicely draping fabric. I would call them semi-sheer. The area that has pleats is not sheer at all. I’m not sure about the other colors, but I got the garnet, and love them!

I wanted to buy a set of valances for my curtains in my bedroom [ they are pink ] to make them stand out more and give my room some extra color. I absolute love these valances, they were exactly what I was looking for because I did not want the traditional straight across valance set. I image these will look beautiful anywhere you decide to use them! Very Happy

These valances are a nice color, and the pleats at the bottom are an elegant touch. However, I would call these sheer valances… very see through! In the product picture, the fabric appears to be solid, however it is not! If you put another piece of fabric behind them they look solid. I am planning to alter mine so they don’t show the blinds behind them.

They are nice but they are very sheer and the light comes through. Used to cover pleated shade headrail, but could still see headrail during the day with light coming in the window, so we returned. Description really needs to stress that they are sheer as picture does not show how sheer they are.

The navy blue valances match my navy blue bedding perfectly. I was able to use only one on each of my 38 in. wide windows. If you have windows any wider than that you’ll need two. They really don’t look cheap but they are thin and plenty of light shines through them. I hung mine high enough so that only the thicker hem hangs down over the actual window so it’s not an issue for me. I got these to highlight the windows and add some color because the slatted shutters I have on the windows are painted the same color as the walls. They look exactly as I hoped and I’m very happy with them and I’m an extremely picky person. When these first arrived they sent the wrong color but were very responsive and sent the correct ones immediately.

So, these curtains are definitely thin. I hung them in my rental home’s kitchen only to discover that the morning light comes through them–but only through the middle section of the curtain because the rod pocket is against my wall, and the 3 “rows” at the bottom are thick enough for light not to pass through. It looked odd. A quick trip to Hobby Lobby for blackout liner and bonding tape (about $12 with my coupon) plus about an hour of my time, and I am now satisfied with the look. I put a strip of bonding tape 1/4 inch from the bottom hem and also along the bottom thread line of the rod pocket. After I ironed on the liner, I had to trim all the edges as the curtains are not quite uniform/square. My main focus was to make an even line at the bottom of the curtain so it looks okay from outside; no one will ever see the unevenness of the liner toward the top. I’m not sure how these would hold up in the wash, but this is a rental house that I will only live in for one year, so I don’t plan on taking them down. The garnet color us perfect!

These are very pretty but it is a light material, perhaps too thin for some, but it was a perfect fit for my bedroom. I like the size and style. The rod pocket is somewhat narrow but works perfectly with a standard rod.
