This item was not worth it. It has a short battery life. Also, disappointing of the mechanics.

People are way too picky and impatient. I got this on a tongue-in-cheek whim, and my cats FREAKED OUT—in a good way. I have four, ages 2 to 17 (!), and at first they were very wary of the fish, but they decided quickly that it was their new favorite thing.

NOTE: I have some really fresh organic catnip that I got on Etsy. I used that in and on the fish rather than the very fine, cheap, probably useless powder that comes with the fish. I would suggest this for the more hesitant cats.

The fish is rather loud when it’s flapping, and that will cause some initial sniffing, suspicion, and adjusting for many cats. Give it time. As soon as my crew decided it wasn’t after them, it was Game On. 😂 The fish works exactly as described and in the videos…my cats have used it both on and off the little “fishing pole” with hilarious success.

I think most people are in too big of a hurry with this. They expect fireworks from their cat, right out of the box, like the cat’ll automatically know what to do with it. Just use some *fresh* catnip on it, toss it on the floor and leave it for a bit…let them engage with it themselves, *then* try the pole. Bet that’ll work!

I saw this on a commercial and it looked like a purfect toy for my cat, so I immediately googled the item and saw it on Amazon and hit purchase with no hesitation.
It was so loud!!! It scared my poor cat.
The mechanism that makes the fish move is poorly made.
It’s not worth returning and will likely go in the trash.

Also, meinen Katzen interessiert dieser Fisch überhaupt nicht, tut mir leid das zu schreiben, aber es ist leider die Wahrheit.

For the money it is great value. At first I think the noise it makes scared my cat, but if you start playing with them with the fish, that helps. Video taken on day 2. Battery life could be longer but at the same time it charges very quickly so no biggie.

This cat toy is great, durable, thick and well worth the money. Fun to watch the cat playing with it.

I was SO excited to watch my cats play with the Flippity Fish…but they just weren’t impressed. At first, they completely ignored it. After a minute or so, they decided to walk over and check it out. They stared at it, a little curious…but eventually acted almost annoyed by it (See my video). They definitely weren’t excited, and didn’t want to “play” with it at all. It makes a loud, annoying clicking noise every times it flops. It’s also supposed to sense motion when your cat walks by, and activate it to make it move. I tried everything and it never sensed any motion. The only way to make it start flopping was to tap the body fairly hard. My cats couldn’t set it off on their own.

Overall, a neat idea, but unfortunately, “a hit and a miss” for my cats…very disappointed. 🙁

Bought it for my friends cat. But old cat was not interested in it.
However her shiatsu mix loves playing with it.

The first day we received the toy our cat was indifferent to it. The next day we come to find out our cat absolutely despises it. DO NOT BUY

This is not motion activated at all! You have to move it or press on it. It’s motor is very, very loud when it’s flipping and the sound scares the crap out of my cats. They don’t know what to think. But 3 stars because the catnip and included fishing pole are a hit as long as that fish isn’t attached to it

Trotz ausreichend langem Laden des Akkus zuckt das Teil nur müde hin und her. Kein Vergleich mit der TV-Werbung.

I liked it unti my wife took the cats when she moved out. Now I just use it as a companion fish. On the other hand it is better in bed than my wife was
