I bought the WH-XB900N from another retailer on sale and then saw these on sale for about the same price, did some research and found these are the newer model of the same thing. Sadly while they have more features (like connecting to multiple devices, longer battery) the audio quality is worse…. The XB900N are louder and the bass more clear and punchy.

The noise cancellation is also arguably worse. While I hear less coming through on these than I do the 900s what I do hear sounds distorted and weird – making it more noticeable.

This is testing both at the same volume level on my phone and the same settings in the app available to configure these further (specifically using the bass boosted mode).

Needless to say these 910s are getting returned and I’m waiting for another sale on the 900s so we can get a pair for my wife.

Sounds good with little bit of eq tweaks. Bass heavy by default. Battery life is great. Overall a good one if you can grab around $150. ANC is very good considering it a mid-tier. Multipoint connection is a great advantage to these headphones.

There’s ups and down with any device. I couldn’t find one that I could say on a review. If you try it you’ll like it.

I love bass, as a matter of fact. I live for bas in music. And in contrast to everybody else who I’ve seen do reviews on these, I can barely feel the bass. I don’t know if I got a faulty product but if I didn’t these headphones she be priced at $100 the most. The noise cancelation is terrible, and the headphones aren’t loud enough, they’re libraryheadphones. I commute daily and I NEED noise cancelation but I can hear talking from other commuters that are 7 feet ahead of me. Overall, I’m just disappointed. I feel as if these didn’t live up to the hype you know. I was so excited for it too. Sigh :/

Just to get to the point, I think the sound quality is just okay. It’s not bad by any stretch, but I don’t consider the sound quality to be a true representation of what the music should sound like. By comparison, my Cleer Enduro ANC headphones are $100 less in price and represent a superior audio quality experience, in my view. While there’s more than enough bass, I found it to be boomy and muddy. If you like a thumping bass and don’t especially care about accuracy or definition, you might like the sound of these headphones.

The app seems pretty good and has more options than most. Setup was simple. Noise reduction was okay or better than okay. Comfort was average to above average. These headphones are a bit thick and clunky looking, but again comfort isn’t bad.

In terms of battery life, they compare pretty well with Bose, although Cleer Enduro at 60 hours per charge is the knockout winner.

Back to sound cancellation, the Bose are far and away the best. My over the ear Bose and Bose ear buds are both quite good. I was really surprised at how good the sound cancellation was on Bose earbuds, since obviously they don’t fit over the ear and isolate the same way. That said, Sony’s sound cancellation is decent.

In terms of the actual volume output, they can get pretty loud and are on par with the Bose in terms of sound volume (but not quality). On the other hand, while the Cleer are a terrific value, if you really blast the music *loud*, they don’t get quite as loud as Bose or Sony.

Build quality is okay. Kind of plasticky and inferior to both Bose and Cleer, as I see it. Controls are easy to use and seem well thought out and well designed.

I wouldn’t talk you out of buying these headphones, nor would I give them a ringing endorsement. Do they suck? No. Was I impressed? No. If I was traveling, which headphones would I reach for? Probably the Bose QC Ear Buds, followed by Bose QC over ear and then Cleer Enduro ANC. These are at least okay. Value is mediocre. I think a 3 star rating is about right.
