Absolutely no one is offering these amount of specs for this price. I tried to wait for Amazon Prime Day for a deal and found an Acer branded laptop, Gateway’s actual owner, that was $500 on sale that didn’t wow me as it had a year old processor and not a lot of storage. after doing a little bit of research I found this gem. 11th gen Intel i5 instead of 10th gen that you find in just about everything nowadays is a great find. this laptop isn’t even on sale. it’s just the normal price for while Best Buy “Deal of the Day” promotions and that Amazon Prime Day offer were all worst than this Gateway. I bought this laptop in Rose Gold for my neice as her graduation gift for her to start college in the fall. watched a video review on this and found it was even easy to go into the BIOS and raise the overall graphics performance with just a few tweaks at the cost of a little bit of battery life. well worth it to get that Iris Xe running at its best. you get the most up to date everything on this laptop: nice small 14″ inch screen that packs a 1080p display, 512 gb ssd which no other laptop is offering for this price, easy access to expandable storage with another M.2 slot, and 16 gb of ram (literally no one is offering that in this price range. only downside is that it is not a removable ram stick and cannot be upgraded further but you will more than likely never need to.) it’s an older Intel wireless chip but still gives you Bluetooth and WiFi 5 with AC. this laptop also has very little deck flex in the keyboard which even higher end laptops still usually have. it’s got a nice durable metal feel top cover as well. some of the biggest drawbacks are that they use an unknown brand for the SSD (looking up the part number of the SSD literally brings up no manufacturer) and that Acer went very third party for making this Gateway laptop for Walmart (the computer only recognizes the brand of this computer as “GPU Company”) and finally they load the computer with a lot of icons on the computer for games and their THX application that are just links to websites that you can’t really remove as they are not actual programs so they will always be present in the start menu. other than that though, amazing value without even being on sale and puts many other laptops and companies to shame. it has a fingerprint reader including Trusted Platform so the free windows 11 upgrade will push to this laptop with no problems! buy this thing so Walmart knows this is what we want from private labels!

The Gateway will not connect with other items like HP printer and have had trouble with the laptop continuing to operate all the feature. The mouse on the pad locks up and will not move. Have had to an attached mouse(that I’ve borrowed from my neighbors) to operate the Windows.

I would recommend this computer to anyone looking for a mid-range system. The graphics are great, lots of storage space and robust 16gb RAM. 11th generation I-core is fast and reliable.

Bought the rose gold for my wife. She uses it for school in her masters program. Its perfect for a student. Web, zoom, word, excel, PowerPoint, YouTube. Light photo and video editing. Light gaming.

I’m very pleased with this computer. I imported all the programs from my old portable. I expected that this might slow down this computer but it is very fast. The thing I like most is the speed of the wireless internet connection. I have a 400mb download from my ISP and my wireless connection is over 300mb. The only complaint was the lack of the number of USB connections.

Laptop looks nice, runs well, and is fast. Keyboard and mouse pad are ok, not the best but definitely not the worst. Screen is not a touchscreen but is bright enough.

Great budget notebook. Ordered the green one and had it shipped to me. It was in my hands in less that 48 hours. Quality on this laptop is pretty good, the cover is aluminum while the bottom is plastic. It doesn’t flex and the keystrokes feel solid. The fingerprint reader is pretty useless. The screen is full hd (1080p) and looks great, it’s a little shiny if the light hits it right. The trackpad is alright, clicking and dragging is a bit of a pain. Overall, I would recommend this laptop to someone on a budget for an everyday machine.

Bought this for my son who entered college. The laptop didn’t survive the first day. My son spent three days trying to get it to work. It was the last thing to worry about. The laptop black screens after a period of time after logging in.
All that can be done is trying to shut down by pressing the power button.
I had to switch his laptop with a better brand. I tried restoring the initial computer configuration. The laptop is unable to reinstall its initial configuration and errors. Now the laptop is a brick.
I advise you to take a look at gateway’s support website. I wish I look at it before my purchase. Support is totally lacking from their website. There is only an 866 number which reviews say is very unhelpful. I would NOT recommend this product.

It’s not a bad laptop at all. I bought it for school and so far it’s been working perfectly. The keyboard feels amazing, it’s capable of windows 11 and the gestures on it is just blissful. I have also cloud gamed on this via gamepass and it paired with my USB controller greatly. The Bluetooth leaves more to be desired for and you can visibly see it struggling in certain games like Gears 5 or Apex.Other than that it’s great for quick open and play then swap to work with ease. The fingerprint scanner is pretty hit or miss though. It consistently can not read my finger and forces me to type in a pin. Would be better with out it honestly.4/5 would recommend.
