First off, I’m a super stickler for accurate adjustment and setup with my tools.
Out of the box, nothing was majorly out of whack. But EVERYTHING was just *slightly* misaligned. The good news is, everything is adjustable so after about an hour of fiddling I got things squared up and true to within 1/64″ from front to back. This involved adjusting the blade to run parallel to the rail track, then adjusting the bevel stops and position indicator, then adjusting the fence to run parallel to the blade, then adjusting the riving knife to sit perfectly in line behind the blade.
The manual is helpful when learning how these adjustments work. If you need to adjust the blade so it’s parallel to the rail track, I recommend using a couple quick clamps and steady the blade housing side-to-side. Otherwise the housing tends to wander as the screws are tightened.
If I wasn’t hung up on accuracy, I’d have ditched the riving knife and let it be. Probably be making cuts to within 1/16″ of tolerance, which is fine for sheeting/framing/flooring/tng etc.

Update: Amazon removed my last update because they obviously didn’t want customers seeing the poor customer service I received from Amazon. Skilsaw stepped up and sent me a new saw. Not sure the top is flat yet, but at least they are trying to stand by their product. Amazon just wanted me to take a refund while their supervisors just kept making empty promises.
Original post: I was really looking forward to getting this saw for my workshop. I’ve been doing a LOT of researching and finally decided it could be the best available worksite saw out there.
Although I haven’t even been able to turn the stinking thing on once. I’m only giving it a 1 star rating because out of the box during the setup/check process as per the manual, I noticed that the saw top wasn’t even level across the entire surface. When placing my combo square on the top it “teetered” when laid from the top near the blade toward each outside corner, in both directions.
I called Skilsaw who just passed the buck to Amazon. While I know Amazon sold it…. they didn’t manufacture it…. it’s a Skilsaw tablesaw, and I would expect Skilsaw to make this right and send me a new saw to swap which hopefully is built properly. Unfortunately, I need to wait until Amazon gets more in stock. So much for Skilsaw’s “Stay True” 180 day guarantee …. they didn’t even honor it. They just passed the buck.

Update: I have just received the replacement handwheel I called about in early August. it is October 20th if you plan on using the warranty for replacement parts they are only 70 or 80 days out. My return was completed August 22nd. The warranty is a joke and so is the customer service.
Poor product overall. If you think a worm gear drive decreases blade run out then your wrong. Blade run out is worse then all direct drive table saws i’ve owned. Riving knife will not stay adjusted between jobsites, so much so that it actually causes pinching of the blade. From a carpenter who uses table saws regularly: it’s not fit for a jobsite. I recommend a cheaper DeWalt even for the occasional user. I thought I was upgrading but sadly I returned my skilsaw table saw after witnessing the poor build quality and bad customer service on the part of skil

I do like the idea of a skill saw worm drive table saw. This one falls short because of the low quality of all locking parts. The lever to guide, the lever to lock the stand and the lever to lock the angle of the blade don’t work well at all. 9/19This is a new update. It has been only a little over one year since my purchase of this piece of junk. The saw blade depth crank handle has completely broken and the locking lever aswell. Skillsaw refused to help the warranty was up. Skillsaw was an American born brand we could trust in the past to make great tools. Now just Chinese garbage. Betrayal of trust . Don’t buy this

I am giving this only four stars because of the poor assembly instructions but the saw itself deserves five start for the amazing quality and value of the saw and table. The rip fence is totally accurate and with the rack and pinion mechanism is smooth and should stay reliable. I love the way the stand folds and with the large wheels this is the easiest saw of this class I to transport. The manual is excellent except they really dropped the ball on the assembly instructions for the stand. In particular the step right before attaching the wheels is ambiguous and the associated diagram is not helpful at all even when magnified greatly. I had to struggle with this part of the assembly and got it wrong on my first try. That said, the customer support is excellent and helped me resolve all issues. After I got it assembled, I have a tip that really should be included in the manual and should help anyone else that assembles the stand. When you assemble the stand look for a big black A, B, and C on various tubes. Those letters should meet at places the tubes cross. If this one piece of information had been included in the manual, the assembly would have been easy.

Nice enough saw (at first). The main problem I’ve had with it is the fence lock bends and make it to where the fence is unusable. I will try to order the part and replace it. They reached out to me as a result of my poor review. They sent me to Bosch (old parent company) for parts. Bosch does not have any parts for this saw. Id really love to return this saw and get something thats more mainstream, as they might have the parts to buy if/when it breaks.
