This blanket is 4″ smaller in both length and width that the attached tag or description of the product. It is very small and extremely hot. I assume they did not take into the size calculation the fact that once the blanket staffer with filling it shrinks. It is simply not enough to cover a person (everyone is different – I get it!) Not a good purchase in my opinion. Craftsmanship is not the best either for price. Made in China. I hope materials used are ok.

Went into this purchase a bit skeptical but willing to try almost anything as I have trouble staying asleep due to restlessness throughout the night and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I woke up the next morning in the same position I fell asleep in. I’ve noticed more consistency in my sleeping patterns since this purchase, and I’m glad I took the risk. Definitely worth it.

Even though I know you’re supposed to get 10% of your body weight, which this is, it’s sooo heavy. It does keep me warm and I am able to keep my thermostat down a degree with it. I just won’t be moving this from room to room because it’s too heavy.

I LOVE the weighted blanket. With the weight of the blanket, the cover doesn’t do anything for the blanket. It actually makes the experience worse. I say just sell the weighted blanket without the removable cover. I’ve removed the cover and I LOVE the uncovered weighted blanket.

I had been meaning to give weighted blankets a try and Best Buy had a great deal on this one so I went for it. I am liking the experience so far – that isn’t the reason for the low review. I’m giving this 2 stars because of the quality of the blanket.
As soon as I received it I washed the quilted cover per the instructions – gentle cycle, tumble dry low. When it was all nice and clean and dry, I went to put it back on the weighted inner part only to find the zipper had broken in half. It was not like this when I put it in the wash meaning that after only 1 wash on a gentle cycle, the zipper snapped in two. It is still usable and honestly, the process of packing this thing back up and returning it seems like a logistical nightmare so I decided to keep it and at least experience a weighted blanket to see if it is worth it. I did contact the company directly to point out this flaw but have not heard anything back.
The second issue I had is with the ties on the inside. To keep the quilted cover evenly spaced over the weighted portion, there are several cloth ties on the inside. Upon seeing this I was immediately suspicious as to how these ties would hold up. It turns out, they do not hold up very well. While pulling the weighted blanket over me, I have heard/felt at least 2 of the ties tear. I have not bothered to open up the cover to inspect the damage.
For a blanket that retails for $170, it is disappointing how cheaply it is made. I understand that the main benefit is the weighted portion, and I do not have any issues there. The weight feels nice and comforting. However, I specifically purchased the quilted cover version in an effort to avoid having to figure out how to clean a 20 pound blanket.

I bought this as a gift for my son as he’s a big blanket fan and was on a daily deal. The 20lb weighted is definitely heavy. My biggest disappointment with the product has been how uneven the weighting portion of the blanket is when it is in the coverlet (darker blue – see attached pic). The weighted blanket itself has pockets that are approx 4″x4″, but it comes initally in a cover that is ties into by use of shoestrings. When in the cover, the blanket will quickly shift to whatever is the most dependent portion of the cover to leave an uneven feel to the pressure. Would recommend taking out of the cover (not sure why it is included honestly)
