The product has changed over the past few years and I didn’t realize that. This blanket is nice and soft (with fabric softener) and will keep you warm but it just isn’t the “spongy blanky” that you may know.

the blanket is great except it is a little short and I have to keep retucking it in at the foot. At least my husband isn’t complaining his butt or back are getting cold, the sides hang just right for him.

I was so happy to find the original Vellux blanket at Walmart.com. I have been looking in stores for a long time and I could not find one anywhere! These are the best cuddly blankets—everyone in my family loves them! I wash ours with liquid fabric softener and it makes them so soft. This blanket has a hem sewn around all the sides and it seems very durable. One of our old ones only had a hem at the top and bottom and the sides got a little ragged. I can tell this one is going to last a long time!

We have enjoyed many years our original Vellux blanket so it was a easy decision to purchase another. They wash & dry perfectly and get softer with years of use.

Camping in cold nights just put one of these over your sleeping bag and your good. Keeps you nice and warm.

Very soft – very good quality. The blue color has more green in it than appears in the picture. and is much lighter. But I washed them when I received them and they are beautiful. I got a king and a queen. I am using them for covers for my white slipcovered couches and they are beautiful on it.

I was not sure if I would really like this as it is a light blue that I purchased. Normally I prefer medium shades. It grew on me very fast. It is warm and light-feeling. It looks very attractive on my bed. I am beyond pleased that I ordered this and do wish that they came in more colors. Would buy more if needed. Puchased King Size for my regular King Bed and it fits well.

It keeps shedding and I will have to throw it out! It has several bald spots now! Don’t purchase , it’s not like the Vellux blanket from long ago!

This blanket is soft and plenty large enough. But I honestly the ought it would be a little thicker and quite a bit warmer. After all, “fleece” is associated with “warmth, is it not? It’s a nice blanket, just not as thick or as warm as I had hoped for. If you’re looking for a lightweight, year round blanket, this will work just fine.
