I can’t rave enough about the nespresso machine!
For one, you can decide where the water tank goes. It can be on the right side as pictured. Directly behind. Or to the left. It’s easy to turn.
The water tank has an impressive capacity. There is no max marking, only a min marking. However, because of the way you’d remove the tank, I wouldn’t recommend filling to the very top.
Reading some reviews, leaking was an issue and recommendations were made to follow the instructions. Which say to tilt back and remove. So we follow that.
So far we’ve had no issues and we use this twice a day. Soooo easy!! It’s got a quick warm up time too.
Seeing as tho it’s holiday season, I’ve been making mine with egg nog using the 7oz cup pods. I pour about 1/4 ish cup of egg nog. I don’t stir it at all so I get a nice strong flavor at the beginning.
I love this machine. It’s quiet, it’s easy and it makes an amazing cup of caffeinated deliciousness!
EDIT: It’s 01/12/2020. Our machine has started leaking. Reading the reviews, it mentioned several customers who experienced leaking.
We use our nespresso at minimum 3 times a day. Every day. I read the reviews which mentioned to make sure to read the manual—paying attention to how one takes off the reservoir. To tilt back first versus just pulling straight up.
Our leaking comes out of the bottom. It makes a decent mess.
Handling this went smoothly—unlike some reviews. Now, is it because we are within our amazon window?? We are definitely within the warranty period.
Because it’s a leak, Amazon couldn’t help. But they were very helpful in referring me to Nespresso.
My experience was Nespresso was equally helpful. They are open 24/7. They were kind and helpful. We tried to trouble shoot and do a factory reset.
It still leaks. The rep said sometimes an inner seal is faulty and it’s an easy fix. We will be set a replacement.
Does this deter me from recommending or loving the product??? Not at all.
Defects happen, and Amazon and Nespresso were very helpful.
I will post an update with the new machine.

 4th update:
Long journey, we sent the machine to repair, took long but so far so good,, it’s been almost a year and it is still working; since I suspected was the rubber that holds the pod… we have kept the machine open… can’t tell if that’s the reason why this machine is still working good but I am not going to do the opposite just to know.
3rd update:
After a month and a Half… BAM starts to leak again, same problem… now I can’t even complaint, surfed the Breville’s web page for customer support, followed the system… and this machine doesn’t even exist as an option.
I am trying to reach an amazon in order to solve this problem, reading all the other complaints I DO FEEL SCAM, too many people complaining about the same, they know what are they selling.
I had a refund, I wish my machine at least worked for a year, I love Nespresso… guess I need to dig and research for a better option for a vertuo machine.
2nd update:
I insisted a second time and found an agent that finally helped me and soon will have a replacement, hopes are not lost, I am happy I didn’t give up.

Terrible! It started to leak and took me a few days to realize what was happening because it started like a small thing and now it’s a disaster. It leaks coffee and since I contacted amazon 3 days after return window… I dont get any help on fixing this problem.
I see many ppl complaining about the same.
Our Keurig recently died (almost 5 years) so we were looking for a replacement, found an offer on black friday and BAM! We are hook. The quality of the coffee is great, pods aren’t cheap but if you compare how much money you spend on a single drink on starbucks… this is a good deal, is very easy to operate, we found even refillable pods to be more green. Cant deny that you have more options with the Keurig but honestly they got too expensive and now I love to have this new machine, a good change to spice the coffee.

I was in the market for a coffee machine. Nepresso offers convenience without sacrificing quality. I like the adjustable water tank so it makes it much easier to position the machine. The crema is very good. I would hope Nepresso will offer more varieties of vertuo pod in the future.

– brews, cleans, and descales (descaling powder sold separately)
– crema is amazing every time
– brews really fast
– very compact

– no hot water option
– the tray is plastic (in the De Longhi model I believe it’s metal)

What a difference every morning to drink coffee that is like liquid velvet without losing strength of taste.
There are so many to choose from and Nespresso included a gift box with so many wonderful choices .
I feel like I belong to an exclusive club with the expense!

Purchased on sale, this was a great value. I previously had a Nespresso machine (original capsules) which was also excellent, but the Virtuo line offers greater variety of sizes: single/double espressos, long shots, and small and large coffees. This machine is quieter than the original and makes better crema. Excellent product.

Have had the machine for about 9 months, and it started leaking coffee out the back of the machine while brewing. Not a small amount of coffee either, mind you. For a standard 7.77 oz capsule, somewhere between 1/5 and 1/4 of the coffee ends up leaking out the back and pooling on our counter (and staining the countertop, unfortunately, because we didn’t notice the leak initially).
Even worse, in time since we bought the machine in late 2019, my wife and I have only used it about 70 times (based on the total capsules purchased and used). Also, I clean the inside of the machine every couple of uses, because otherwise there is a tendency for a few coffee grinds to wind up floating on the top of your coffee.
Our advice? STAY AWAY FROM THIS MACHINE!!!
