I’m pretty mad that the turn handle wasn’t spinning the playdoh molds inside to make the candy shapes. That’s the whole point in the playset. Luckily my daughters father can literally fix anything. I don’t know what he did but it works now. With that being said I can guess a lot of people aren’t as handy as him. You shouldn’t have to fix a toy you just bought for it to work. I would’ve honestly just returned it but I didn’t have to with him.
I can see some of the reviews have the same problem as us. So unless you can fix about anything or just don’t want to mess around with it I would advise you to not buy this product.

This is a great gift or general toy for any child 3 and up who enjoys play doh. My little one plays with it nearly EVERY DAY. She finds new ways to use it and new things to do, new “pretend” play to enjoy. There are many molds on this toy you can press play doh into and make little pieces of candy/hearts/eggs etc. My husband and I have had a lot of fun with it too haha
The Cons:
It can be difficult to clean all the pieces of playdoh out – and you really want to so you dont have crunchy pieces mixed in the next time it’s used. Or, a large chunk that breaks it or can’t be removed because it hardened into a crevice.
It can be a tiny pain, but here is some advice for any new playdoh users….use the playdoh to pick up playdoh. Playdoh is it’s own magnet for itself. Also use the plastic knife they give to shove out small or large pieces from the large “press”…

My kids were so excited to get this. Got it all set up put together and the crank does not work. It will not turn the mold to make the gummy bears or the chocolate bars. The crank turns but it does not turn the mold it just clicks. Very disappointing!

This is not for a child 3 1/2 years old. They need constant help using this. Finally figured out how to get the crank to work by sliding the top into the 2 white tabs on the back of the base then pushing the top down to hook it together. The “log” maker is messy and it is hard for a young child to open it, push the insides back together to make another “log”. Also the toy does not fit back into the box. Playing alone my child lost interest after about 10 minutes because he got so frustrated trying to play with it when I could not sit there and help him.

I actually returned the first one as I thought the crank was broken! I read the 1 star reviews and many complained about the crank being broken. I got the second one and same thing, however this time I looked more closely and there are two white tabs on the actual piece on the top that need to be put in first and then the crank works. Hope this review helps someone as I wish someone had posted it for me! My kids love it, gummy bears are a hit

This set is amazing. Usually, when parents think about a play doh set like this, they think “this is going to be hard to clean after.” At least I do. This set looked cute and my daughter (3.5yrs) asked for it from Santa so I got it anyway. Why not, she will enjoy it and that will make it worth the effort. Boy was I surprised when we got it and I saw how well made this was!!! Every little nook and cranny that play doh can (and will) get stuck is accessible!! One of the things even comes apart into three pieces so I can get it all out! It’s not hard to take apart and put back either! I am BEYOND thrilled with this and cannot recommend it highly enough. It even has a safety feature on the main part that won’t let the roller work when the lid is flipped open! No squished fingers!!!
I did have to teach my daughter to not over stuff the tube that leads to the roller, but that’s not a real problem.
I am so happy and so is my daughter!!! Thank you for making our Christmas awesome!

My daughter received the Play-doh Candy playset for Christmas after excitedly talking about it for MONTHS. She was excited when she unwrapped it and immediately wanted to play with it. When you open the box, the set is fairly solid, but assembly is a challenge. The white piece that gets snapped into the “chute” where candy comes out is nearly impossible as it is a hair off the same size as the sides. We couldn’t even get hers snapped in fully with the little pegs, but it worked as it was. It didn’t take long for the crank handle to stop working where it does not turn the inside pieces anymore. So, this playset is truly now useless as the only thing my kiddo can do is use the built in molds on the bottom. I should have listened to the reviews on here that this was junk. It is not worth the hassle and I should of just gotten my kiddo Play-doh and cutting tools. Don’t recommend!

This was horrible, play doh gets stuck in crevices, the assembly was so difficult even tho it’s just snapping pieces together the plastic was sturdy but since it was too thick using force to snap it shut just idk I guess.
