I have been using this headset for a while now, and I have to say that it has exceeded my expectations. There were some things about the headset that were a pleasant surprise, but all in all I am very happy with them.
To begin with, the build quality is great, they feel premium. The materials are a mixture of metal and plastic. I’ve worn them for extended gaming sessions and they have yet to feel uncomfortable. They sit well, and the cups have a great amount of cushioning. I didn’t experience any ear fatigue, or pressure were the band rests on the head. The headset comes with a storage bag, and a few cables to be used with the provided USB adapter, a traditional 3.5mm headset jack, or the split dongle to plug into a mic and headphones jack. All of the cables, with the exception of the one used to connect to a mobile device are covered in a nylon/cloth material and help with the premium feel.
The sound quality is great and does a good job of simulating surround sound. I fired them up with a few games, ESO, WoW, Apex Legends, and Fortnite and they sounded great. I was able to pin point were sounds were coming from easily, and was able to notice sounds I hand’t heard before in most of the games.
Honestly, were they truly shine is when you download and install the Logitech G Hub app. The app pulls in other Logitech devices you might have, it picked up my G602 mouse, and allows you to tweak settings. Once you connect the removable mic and fire up G Hub you are given a ton of settings to adjust your voice. I don’t stream my game play but my team mates / guildies noticed a improvement in the way my voice was coming across. I think these would be pretty good for someone looking into starting to stream their game play. The software and headset really let you dial in your voice to remove distortion and even block some ambient/outside noise. Now, this settings are only available when you connect the USB adapter that comes in the box.
I also used the headphones connected to my Xbox and Switch and again was impressed with the separation and quality of the sound. I know they are sold as a Windows headset, but they were great for console / mobile gaming as long as you have a headphones jack.
I would absolutely recommend this headset to anyone in the market for a good modestly priced headset. I think these could have easily sold for another $50, but at their current price it is a steal, especially for those looking to stream/voice chat in their games. The G Hub app adds a lot of customization.

Audio quality and comfort were top notch. Loved this headset. But after a year of daily use, its done for. I have always been careful with my gear. Never dropped it abused it. Unfortunately the first thing to go was the plastic end piece on the outside of the ear cup. It was ugly but still functional. Then about a week later, the death blow. Putting the headset on every day, multiple times a day, wears on the plastic parts. The end of the headband snapped. Pretty disappointed, as I had every intention of using this headset for a long time. But now that I see where its weakest, I wont take my chances again.

I have used the Logitech G Pro X for about 60 hours prior to writing this review doing various tasks such as gaming, listening to music, and chatting on discord.
The headset is packaged nicely without an excessively large box. It includes the headset, console cable, mobile cable, pc splitter cable, detachable mic, USB external sound card, two types of earpads (Velour and leather), and a nice carrying bag.
Pros:
Appearance: Solid black steel and aluminum with a metallic grey/blue G logo. There is no RGB which is a nice change as many competing headsets in this price range light up like a carnival ride. They look classy and well built. *The stand in the pictures is not included with the headset.*
Comfort: Included with the purchase are two types of earpads, leather and velour. They are fairly easy to swap should you have a particular preference. I ended up using the velour earpads as I found my ears got hot with the leather when wearing them for extended periods of time. The headband is leather and is nicely padded with memory foam.
Microphone: This is a huge selling point for this headset. Using Blue Vo!ce technology, your voice sounds crisp and professional. I decided to test this out with friends in Discord not telling them I got a new mic. Immediately after speaking I received several comments about sounding different and way less muffled. Using the G Hub software you can customize your microphone voice EQ and are given a large variety of professional broadcaster presets. The microphone is also detachable.
Sound: Initially I had issues with the sound being “tinny” which ultimately turned out to be a software issue. Shortly after release, the G Hub software had an update that fixed this. Having used several premium headsets, I always had trouble hearing footsteps even with custom profiles. This headset it different. It’s default gaming profile is fantastic and can be tweaked further depending on your gaming goals. There are several guides to “optimizing” settings for different FPS games. I went from never really knowing where an enemy was (minus a general direction) to being able to hear each footstep as they ran towards me. A lot of gamers are skeptical of surround sound and say it is a gimmick. I have used this headset in both standard and DTS super stereo with 7.1 channel surround sound and I prefer the surround sound. It makes you feel like you are in the game. Sounds are crisp, clear, and lifelike.
Verdict:
The Logitech G Pro X headset is a huge step in the right direction and Logitech should be proud of this headset. It not only looks like a premium product, it performs like a premium product. If you are looking for a well built, comfortable headset with crystal clear voice and sound then look no further.

[Logitech G PRO X – REVIEW]
I’ve always been a fan of Logitech and Corsair products, took months of research and waiting to find a great headset with high quality microphone audio for competitive communications (I’m very picky) also an Audiophile with Headphones and speakers from Bowers&Wilkins, AudioTechnica, Sennheisser – so trust me on this. IF YOU’RE a Flight Simulator pilot or enthusiast, I highly recommend this headset! It stands out in flight simulators, especially having crisp audio communications, Immersive 7.1 Surround gives a great sound stage atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re in an airplane, Superb Microphone quality 5/5 Clear lossless audio – great for air traffic communications and online flying on VATSIM. (This will be great for the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020).
For FPS Gamers, I’d give this headset a try, some of you may not like it for the way the headset is fine-tuned out the box. But you’ve got to be patient with it, and tweak and adjust the EQ, Audio settings , and Surround sound profile for every game inside the Software G Hub – to sound amazing! (You May need to play around with In-game audio settings too)
I’m a competitive FPS gamer, and I learned to love this now – your ears require time to adjust to getting used to, especially coming from a different headset and brand for years, you’ll learn to love this! (Give it a week of hours of gaming, and you’ll see what I mean)
For music and movie lovers:
This headset may be too much for what you’re trying to accomplish, but if you’re a gamer and also love to listen to music and movies in your PC (Like I do) then you will absolutely not regret buying this! It has a natural sound quality. Enable 7.1 Surround sound for movies, and disable it when listening to music – you may also want to have separate custom EQ presets within the software for movies, music and gaming. But whatever you decide, you’ll find this amazing.
PROS:
• Intensively Fully customizable (ability to fine tune your Microphone and Headphone to your liking)
• Natural Crisp Audio
• Immersive 7.1 Surround Sound (Great for movies too!)
• Custom Presets – Hear and sound the way you want in every game.
• Great Built Quality – Solid metal materials, Comfy plush synthetic leather with memory foam and adequate head padding, tangle-free braided cable wires, solid volume control.
• Great for streaming with high quality voice
• Highly-recommended for Flight Simulator Pilots and Gamers.
• Excellent Stereo Sound (if you disable Surround Sound) – PERFECT FOR LISTENING TO MUSIC!!
CONS:
• May need customizing and adjustment in G Hub for certain games to sound great.
• Takes some time to play around and learn the software
• Not suitable for people who doesn’t like to tinker around settings.
• G Hub software may need some refinement updates to be more user friendly (A SOFTWARE PROBLEM NOT HEADSET)
• Would have preferred a partnership with DOLBY to support Dolby Atmos 7.1 Surround, instead of DTS.
[Games I play]
• Rainbow Six Siege
• Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
• Battlefied V
• Valorant
• Team Fortress 2
• GTA V
• Watchdog 2
• X-Plane 11 Flight Simulator

WHAT’S IN THE BOX
Well-appointed package has everything you need to configure these cans for multiple duties at home and on the go and all can be stowed in the included travel pouch:
– Velour or pleather memory foam earpads to adjust comfort, fit and sound to taste
– Removable & flexible 4” boom mic; thoughtfully designed cut-out connector is impossible to insert improperly–depending on your head size, the small, foam covered microphone will be somewhere around the lower left corner of the mouth
– Rubberized mobile cable with inline mic/single-button control box—though I no longer have a phone with a headphone jack to test the cable’s performance, the single-button worked as expected for playback control on my Android-based FiiO DAP
– Longer braided cable includes a lapel-style clip-on sliding mute switch (w/red indicator when muted) and rotary volume control
– Small breakout cable w/separate mic & headphone plugs to use your PC’s own mic & headphone jacks
– Mini USB soundcard/DAC–unlocks 7.1 surround and features a POWERFUL set of customizations for multiple sound and mic settings via the G Hub platform. These settings can be saved to the DAC’s onboard memory and taken to another PC! If only the dongle had a button to toggle surround/mic effects on and off, this would have taken things to stratospheric heights.
DESIGN AND ERGONOMICS
Phenomenal build quality; the steel headband & aluminum earcup hangers keep things incredibly light while still feeling reassuringly solid. Coupled with the ample padding along the underside of the headband and on the earpads, and the even distribution of weight forward and side-to-side, these cans excelled both in initial comfort and for long-term wear. Having said that, inward clamping force was initially a bit high. Fortunately, the steel headband can take a bit of punishment to finesse into a more forgiving shape. In the end, I found these to be at the top of the comfort scale of the more than two dozen stereo & surround headphones I’ve tried over the past several years.
The G Pro X jettisons gimmicky/showy RGB lighting & any angular, over-the-top Spaceman Spiff styling cues for a more grown-up & sophisticated gamer vibe that says you mean serious business (about your gaming). The only parts of the colorway that deviate from black are the sizing tick marks on the yokes; the “PRO” logo debossed across the top of the stitched headband covering; and the circular-cut “G” logo accents on each earcup. Though nothing lights up, the concentric-cut silver ridges of the logo accents definitely catch the eye and make the earcups shimmer between blue, silver, and even a hint of green.
The only real complaint I have with Logitech’s design choices have to do with swapping the earpads. Rather than a convenient snap, twist, or magnetized change-out system, Logitech designed their pads with a small fabric skirt extending beyond the inner edges of the pads’ backing. This skirting is stretched around a retaining ring that encircles the edge of the earcup. If you don’t plan to change pads often, it’s not a big deal; but I can see where even a few changes back and forth might stretch that skirting out of shape and possibly impact fit & seal integrity down the road. In addition, it simply takes longer to stretch, wiggle, and swap out the pads than it really needs to. It’s a minor annoyance, and in truth, many headphones are designed for swapping pads in the same way, but I would have preferred something built with longer-term materials integrity in mind, and that would reduce time for pad rolling when mood struck me.
AUDIO PERFORMANCE
Hats off to Logitech for sourcing some respectable drivers for gaming that can actually sound musical, too. These were resolving enough that my wife picked out subtle differences between lossless rips and 24/96 recordings of the same songs, yet were not so analytical and cold that they were unkind to some lossy MP3s I had on my workout DAP. As a gaming headset, you could easily leave them on to enjoy your jams or a movie from a PC or phone and not leave wanting for much more until you started craving some truly critical listening sessions with your high-rez library.
Oh, and props to Logitech for designing a gaming headset capable of producing tight, punchy, authoritative, almost visceral-level bass that doesn’t immediately seem fatiguing, muddy or overpowering. Ultimately, it was the over-emphasis on mid-bass that chased me away from the Hyper X Cloud IIs which, arguably, feels like the bar this headset is clearly aimed at surpassing (for the record, I think it does outpace the Clouds).
Though you can tweak bass levels via software, LF performance is both pleasant and authoritative–a welcome combination! Personally, I found the default pleather earpads provided the most compelling sound of the two options provided. Sure, my ears got a little hot, but the mesh pads afforded just a little less bass and “oomph” in the soundfield at the added expense of leakage both in and out of the earcups. Nevertheless, those of you prioritizing point-source localization in something like a competitive FPS might appreciate the mesh pads for not drowning out mids and highs within a slightly more laid-back soundfield; otherwise, I personally found the default pleather pads were better all-arounders.
SURROUND AND RECORDING OPTIONS
Within the G Hub, the sound profile can be customized via 5-band +/-12 dB slider PEQ with multiple eSports and gaming-oriented presets to choose from if you don’t know where to begin on your own, but feel like the headphone’s default sound signature could use a little sizzle or cut here and there. Meanwhile, surround sound acoustics provided by the new DTS Headphone:X 2.0 platform felt nearly real-world perfect—very smooth and seamless panning effects with easily discernable point-source locations provided for an immersive and compelling in-game surround field that easily held its own with high quality alternatives such as Dolby Atmos or NX Waves.
The only niggle I noticed had to do with vertical imaging, and it might just have been an artifact of my own physiology. Specifically, the surround settings page includes a per-channel voice-over to identify each channel location in space—when the speaker said “this is the left (or right) channel,” the sound seemed to emanate from a point to the side, but slightly above my head, rather than on the horizontal plane in-line with the center channel and other surrounds. I’ve had other such issues in the past—with the Cloud II, the virtual left channel sounded like it was just against my ear while the right was about 1-2 feet out in space–so I’m more inclined to believe my results with the G Pro X are a product of biology than design.
You can further customize the surround sound field with one of three presets, Entertainment, Gaming, or Sports. Entertainment dramatically over-emphasized the presence/levels of the surround channels relative to the fronts/center. Sports did just the opposite, seeming to emphasize the front and center channels a bit more than the diffuse surrounds, while Gaming provided the most consistent sound field across all surround channels. Each sound field can be further tuned with individual channel trims–and in an amusing pop-culture nod, each channel’s speaker setting goes to 11!
But enough about sound output—what about input? There’s an almost dizzying array of microphone profiles, functions, and filters available courtesy of Blue’s (the same people who brought you those dedicated Yeti and iCE mics) “VO!CE” integration in the G Hub. Logitech clearly focused a lot of effort and eSports consulting money here to give streamers, podcasters, content creators, and online chatters/team-speakers maximum control over a multitude of usable, useful, and obvious-sounding results in the mastering/broadcast quality of their mic signal
In a brilliant bit of usability engineering, the G-Hub lets you record a sample of your voice/mic signal and then audition the various filters, settings, EQ sliders, and preset effects in real time. This allows you to hear the results of all that tweaking so you have a sense of just what your audience, teammates, etc. are going to hear at the other end of the line. Speaking of tweaking (the mic settings), aside from defeatable hardware noise reduction, the Blue VO!CE platform gives you simple control over input gain, master output level, sidetone level, and high-pass filter settings. You also get simple and OCD-level slider adjustment options (each with 3-6 item submenus of additional sliders/settings) for software noise reduction, expander/gate, de-esser, compressor and limiter options. I had look up some of the sub-menu item meanings just to know what sorts of effects to listen for! But if you don’t need/care to adjust all this stuff yourself (or read up on what things like Attack, Release, Ratio, Bias or Hysteresis settings are for), you can defeat all those settings in a single click or just choose a pro/broadcaster preset and monitor the results yourself.
BOTTOM LINE
The G Pro X was an exceptionally comfortable, well-built, high-performing set of surround-capable gaming cans that also happened to be great listeners for music and video. While the G Hub’s microphone options may be intimidating at first, it is ultimately empowering to see just how much control and personalization is available to enhance what you have, or what you can potentially overcome, in the gaming/online/physical environment for the sake of your audience/teammates. Unless you’re totally sold on the idea of a separate USB microphone sitting on your desk, the wealth of mic-related features/capabilities coupled with the outstanding audio/surround performance of the G Pro X might just make it one of the best all-in-one gaming headsets you can buy right now. This is one pair I’ll be keeping close at hand—DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!

Using the G PRO X in a variety of situations has proven that these are not just for gaming, though they do excel at that! These are perfect for those who enjoy high quality sound and incredible situational awareness while gaming but also are looking for a premium headset for music and movies. I have yet to find the point where these become uncomfortable to where, they hug your head just right and provide a soft cushion to help isolate your entertainment and the outside world. Set up is very easy, you can plug these into your computer, stereo, phone, game system, etc without any additional software to set up or you can download the G HUB software to further tune the headset to your preference. The audio quality through the microphone is top notch, coming through to your teammates with exceptional clarity and almost no hissing, popping, or unwanted excess noise.
I would definitely recommend these to the gamer that is also into high quality audio to accompany their music and movie experience. Especially those looking for a headset that is more recognizable as a high quality set of headphones and less as an obviously gaming headset! No RGB or unnecessary “gaming” accents on these, just a high quality, solidly built and excellent looking headset that’s incredibly comfortable!

I’ve used plenty of headphones in my times while i game or stream, and I can easily say that this headset is right up there with the best i have used in the past. Outside of the easy hook up, there are two main reasons why i like this headset.
Comfortably – These are in fact comfortable, and almost seem to be as comfortable as a studio quality set. The headset adjusts with ease and the leather bound memory foam ear pads assure a cool feeling tight fit. All in all, super good fit, and able to fit my big head, which made me happy as some headsets have not been able to fit my head.
Next, the sound. Not much to say here, outside of the fact that this headset delivers. High treble and deep, rich base. The mic was sensitive and able to pick up any sound i desired.
Overall, a solid headset and worth picking up for any gaming or streaming needs.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX
Well-appointed package has everything you need to configure these cans for multiple duties at home and on the go and all can be stowed in the included travel pouch:
