The gray LifeCam Studio from Microsoft is a high-definition webcam with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 allowing for video recordings of up to 1080p. For conducting video calls, the LifeCam Studio supports resolutions of up to 720p, using a compatible video conferencing service. It features CMOS sensor technology for better picture quality. The 75° diagonal field of view makes it easy to capture wide-angle pictures and video, while the 360° rotation capability offers an all-around view. With a wideband microphone, you have the ability to capture quality audio when chatting and recording video.

Got this webcam, at first, was too excited. Try it out. Plug it in to my macbook and using zoom app, was too bright with room light. Was like, okay, maybe there is an adjustment. Doing my research, and found no adjustment. Thats not good. Tried it on my windows 10 lenovo laptop, and still the same. I’ve been playing with it all night, reading manual online and the book come with it and nothing. I can only use it in dark, far light you can make it good color. HD is not even good as my macbook. My laptop Webcam is better than this. . After everything i went through, im done with this. Im returning it.

I bought this because my home computer was built to do video and graphics and as such I never fit it with a camera. When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out I needed something for video conferencing–this little camera fits the bill. Its video quality is about what you get on a laptop built in camera. Reasonably clear and works well in regular office light. Super easy to set up and hang on my rather large graphics monitor. I wouldn’t use it for YouTube streaming, as the colors and contrast aren’t near professional quality, but again, it’s just fine for business conferences. And for the price, I don’t think I could do much better.

This web cam will work out just great.
In my case, is it for strata council and AGM, strata annual general meetings, using ZOOM.
This device has a very good flexible mounting base, clamp onto your LT or monitor, or screw it down, it has a threaded metal 5mm female screw built into the flexy part of the base, or just sit it on a shelf adjust it, and that’s it. Beautiful little cam. Modern design, very compact. Mic sounds fine.

BH kept me up to date on availability and shipped quickly!
Again, Fedex does NOT deliver to the door. Left at and of 1/4 mile long driveway after dark. Not acceptable. Many BH shipments are high value items.

This webcam is slow to focus and find proper exposure. It does not work properly with Microsoft teams- whenever you log into a meeting, your image will be underexposed until you unplug and replug the camera. These issues are not as present when using Zoom. Images are not sharp and can get very noisy. I’ve had one of these for several years of light usage but have increased my dependence on it since the start of quarantine in march, and it has already failed. For this price point, you can get a much better webcam that will last you a lot longer.

This is perhaps one of the worst webcam’s on the market. The auto exposure is terrible. It overexposes and you cannot make any adjustments. The picture quality is unacceptable, there is a lot of motion blur. Very disappointed with this camera and surprised that this camera bears the name Microsoft.
