This Review Is For a Keurig K-Duo Essentials Coffee Maker, For the Single Serve K-Cup Pod Lover or those who want a cup of coffee from a Carafe. As always my reviews are fair and honest, and non bias, to give a potential customer an objective review, the good and or bad if any.
I have had many a Keurig Coffee Makers, from the very first basic one to the more fancy with light up water display and clock, with a strong feature. The only minor issue is not having a clock or display which I like to look at. But the most important feature, is how great a cup of coffee a coffee maker makes. I have to be honest I was skeptical about this coffee maker making a good cup of coffee with the Carafe Feature, or the K-Pod. But to my amazement was pleasantly surprised, and honesty this coffee maker makes a better cup of coffee with the K-Pod, then my fancy Coffee Maker. I absolutely love the option of having both features, of a Carafe, for when you have company over, or the K-Pod feature, for those who can choose which K-Pod they want. This is absolutely great for a coffee lover like myself. I will use the carafe part for when we have company, but my go too for everyday is the K-Pod and I am stock up with Keurig K-Pods. I have own nothing but Keurig Coffee Makers, because the quality, they are durable, take a licking and keep on ticking at least mine have. They seem to last for quite a while, and this one is no exception, easier to operate, and fast at giving me my first cup of coffee.
I like the fact that the height of this Keurig Coffee Maker is not as high as some of the other models. And that it is easier to fill the water reservoir because when you take off the lid it gives you more room for adding the water. As with some of the other models it has a flip up lid, in the front of the reservoir which gives you a smaller opening to pour the water, I really like the fact of having a much larger area for adding water. I am kind of liking the simplicity and operation of this Keurig Coffee Maker, it does not take as long to make a cup of coffee, and to be quite honest, makes a hotter cup of coffee, then some of the other more fancy models. The instructions are very easy to follow and I suggest you read the instructions before usage. This Coffee Maker can brew 12 oz., 10 oz., 8 oz., when using the k-pods. It can also brew 12 cups when using the Carafe brew feature, and that I love. Another great feature is when using the Carafe Brew Feature you can pull out the carafe and it pauses the brewing cycle for 20 sec to allow you to pour a cup of coffee without having to wait for it to fill up the carafe and finish the complete brewing cycle. Another great feature. This is the best of both worlds, for those of us who love coffee. One feature I really love is the Auto off feature, used for both your brewer and the heating plate, which turns your brewer off 1 min after the last single cup brew and turns the heating plate off after 2 hours after the last carafe brew. When using a k-pod you can also use a travel mug up to 7 in. tall.
This Coffee Maker has the option of using the Keurig Water Filters, (SOLD SEPARATELY) You can also use the k-Cup universal Coffee Filter which allows you to put your favorite ground coffee into this k-cup filter and brew a single cup of coffee. The color is black which goes with any kitchen décor the size of this coffee maker is 12.74 in. H x 12.27 in. W x 13.44 in. D
Bottom line is I absolutely for the price recommend this Keurig K-Duo Essentials Coffee Maker to anyone who is a coffee lover as I am. It makes a fast single cup of coffee that taste great!

I’m very happy with this Keurig K-Duo Essentials Coffee Maker. Having the option to make a whole pot of coffee in the morning or one quick cup as needed is very convenient. The water reservoir is nice and large. It’s easy to remove the tank for filling and to slide it back into place. I have noticed that if you follow the instructions and remove the lid first and then the tank, it’s much easier to deal with.
The Single Serve feature is really nice. Just pop in a pod, close the lid and choose you serving size – 8, 10 or 12 ounces. The carafe side also has a choice of 8, 10 or 12 cups. You switch between the two by choosing ounces or cups, then press the size button. It’s all very straight-forward. Both methods deliver a delicious brew.
This appliance is very versatile as well. Anyone who’s ever used a Keurig K-Cup system will know that this machine makes more than just coffee – all sorts of teas, hot cider, cocoa and even soup can be made in just one machine. The Keurig K-Duo has enabled me to get rid of both my old coffee pot and my tea kettle, thus freeing up space on my counter top.
The one thing that was a surprise to me, but not an issue, is that it’s noisier than other coffee makers I’ve used. I assume it’s the pump mechanism, and it’s not loud enough to be a problem.
Overall, I would recommend this coffee maker to anyone who wants the choice of single servings or carafes.

Another Walmart Exclusive! Out of the box I was amazed. I figured, I can’t write a review without putting this puppy to use. So, I took some photos of it new and put it to use. I gotta say, I like the duo even better than my last Keurig because when my parents come over, I can just put a pot on and serve everyone hot coffee all at once as opposed to one cup at a time. Then just like with a ordinary Keurig, when it’s just me, I can pop in my reusable K-Cup and make myself anything I want. This machine is complete genius. It’s considerably faster than my old one. I thought to myself atleast the first 2 weeks I used it, where have you been all my life. I’m now determined to find a reusable basket for when I make coffee in the carafe, because I plan on keeping this bad boy around!

I love the fact that you can make a single cup of coffee, hot chocolate, tea, or whatever you want in the K-cup side and also make a pot of coffee for multiple people at the same time. For a larger gathering or get together sometimes people want different things. Or you have kids who want to not be left out so they can make their own drinks. Once your have your coffee in your cup you can add creamers and sweeteners for an endless array of different hot drinks.
Over all the Keurig is simple and easy to use. You do need to read the directions before just jumping in. It is suggested you run clear water through for your first single cup as well as the first pot of coffee. I think it called it a cleansing cycle. I also noticed it said DO NOT use distilled water. Not sure why but I would not want to mess my machine up.
You do have to select (oz) or (cup) each time and then select the size for your drink. It does take a few seconds for the brewing to start for both the pot and the single cup. So don’t get excited just be patient. When you first unbox it and look at your new machine it can seem a bit intimidating but once you use it one time it is really simple.
I had a bit of a problem getting the tray with the coffee grounds to slide in to the slot. Guess you have to have it lined up just right. 😀
I have made single cups of drink, pots of coffee as well as a pot of tea with my Keurig. I would absolutely recommend this to friends and family. I have seen rumors online about how you can only use special Keurig K-cups in the Keurig machine. This is not true. Any of the K-Cups will work.
If you look at my attached pictures you will see how it looks and there is room to make a single cup while having a pot of coffee at the same time. Also after a while the burner (warmer) will turn itself off so if you forget to cut it off before you leave it will turn it off for you.

Whether you need hot water for tea or hot chocolate, or you prefer one type of coffee for a single serving and need a carafe for a group, this Keurig K-Duo fits the bill! You can use single serve pods or loose grounds from the same machine!! The space requirements are minimal, considering this is two-coffee makers-in-one! We love it and look forward to a delicious brew every time! Although having the water reservoir in the rear does make it little harder to refill, it is a large volume, so we get several cups or multiple carafes before it needs filling. We do like the fact that both brewers share the water reservoir, so water doesn’t “sit on the less used side” (if there is one) ♥

Dont know if its me or the coffee, aker. I always end up with grounds in the pot. They reccommend tablespoons for the carafe. Way too much,,,,had major explosion. 2nd time I used teaspoon per cup ..another major explosion. Maybe the water is coming in too fast ? Love the one cup side .. coffee is hot. Brews fast. Maybe its something im doing wrong. Put 6 tsps in filter basket. I also have poor eyesight and have trouble getting the filter basket in place. Someone has to do it for me.

I got this as a birthday gift for my husband because we are big coffee lovers at home. We had a k-cup coffee maker already but he saw this once at walmart and loved it. When he saw what he got for his bday he was excited and plugged it right up and made some coffee. We tried both areas, doing a single serve and also 8 cups of coffee. After running it with clean water first ofcourse. It worked great both ways perfectly. He loves the fact that in the mornings when he wakes up before me he can just make a single cup for himself. And at night when we are all together we can do the 8 -10-12 cups with the Carafe. And also when you are doing the Carafe and you dont want to wait for the full thing to fill you can pull out the Carafe and pour yourself a cup fast since you have a few seconds where it pauses the drip for you when removed. It is not bulky at all, it fits perfectly at the same spot we had the other K-cup coffee maker. The other one we had was also Keurig, amazing brand. I love there products. Over all This is the way to go…Hubby Loves it

So far I’m loving it. I’ve been wanting to upgrade to this for at least a year and we were having a house full of people last week and a party so we finally bit the bullet and got it and I’m so glad we did! Took a little bit to figure out the different buttons because apparently we don’t know how to read the instructions haha it is a little weird because the blue lights go out pretty quickly so I find myself having to turn it on again when our old keurig would stay lit up green for a while. But it’s super fast and brewing pretty soon after hitting the oz or cups buttons.

At first I did not like it because it was a little different than my old 2.0. It is a little tricky at first learning the features. It has a one touch brewing system. It does not come with filters. You press the button and select the desired cup size. It goes right from there. Before I had to heat then wait then select. I like making a full pot at times and the old 2.0 carafe is not heated so the coffee would not stay warm. This one heats then shuts off automatically. No settings to worry about. I really like the options. It was a good birthday present to myself. The best of both worlds.

This coffee pot has not worked right from the start. We set it to brew a 12 cup pot of coffee every day and it has only bren pulling 10 cups of water. Then this morning I set it again for 12 cups and it only pulled 4 cups.
