Tool is longer than y other ones… this round gripnhandle at the top helpsnhold it in place. Does the job nicely

Cheaply made, almost worthless as a wire stripper.

So easy to use. Why pay more? Maybe if you had to do this every day. If you are like me and do this once in a while this should be fine.

I use the stripper. It works as well and is much easier to use than a $15.00 pro model.
Sometimes when I am working in a tight space it is useful to use the punch down tool and then finish it with my pro tool

Does not work with cat5. The twisted pairs are cut with each slice even on the widest part. Not worth the money for cat5. Would be nice for cat3 and lower. Horrible. Very upset.

This is a nice little punch down for the money. The stripper works great and the punch down does the trick. I’ve noticed in a few stubborn cases the force required to make a good connection makes me feel like the tool is flexing a bit. Not a huge deal, but it’s a little unnerving imaging this thing snapping in half while applying that much force, as the razor blade could probably do some major damage in a scenario like that.
Overall, I’m happy with it and it will continue to work great for my light needs. If I had to use one of these on my job frequently, I’d definitely look at something a little more substantial, but for my needs, you can’t beat this for the price.

I only had a few cables I needed to punch down, and for those purposes this worked just fine. I’m sure if I were to do any more than a half-dozen cables, I’d probably want a punch down which was more substantial. But if you only need a punchdown for one project and are unlikely to do much more than that, this works just fine.

It works pretty well. It takes a little practice.
