the adhesive is not strong enough for the weight of the device, resulting in it falling down
Update 8/30: following the above review, I received a very nice email from Anker, offering me a refund and the shipping of an updated version of the powerport with a new adhesive that according to them fixes the issue. When I will have recieved it – sometimes in Sept – I will update my review accordingly
I added 1 star to my review in the meantime
Update 9/16:
I added 1 star to my review following receipt of the new product with the new adhesive.
I am impressed by how much this company cares about its customers and its reviews AND act on them.
The new adhesive is clearly strong enough: I have installed it last week and it holds everything. Just one word of caution for others: I am using it on the back of a piece of furniture to hold the cube – so no risk of damage if I want to move it. But I would not be comfortable using it on a wall, as the adhesive does seem really strong.
Anyway, great product, great quality, and perfect solution to provide plenty of power behind a piece of furniture

I had to have extension cords all over my room for all my electronics. It was a hassle and a fire hassard.
Then I found this little cube. It powers my cordless phone, my light pad, my Cpap and two cell phone chargers. Wow.
This puts everything in one place for me. No more having something in the room come unplugged.
If you have a lot of electronics in a small place, you need this power cube!!

If you suffer from tinnitus, or have really sensitive hearing, this USB charging powerbank is for you! I’ve tried several USB style banks and most emit a really high-pitched electrical supersonic “SKWEEEEEE” that is more noxious than a bloodthirsty, northwestern Ontario mosquito hoard. This powerbank, however, does not. I now have three that I use religiously. I’m addicted. I need MOAR.

I love it. Slightly larger than I was expecting but it’s good. I always need USB chargers and AC power at work site. This works great at home too. I really like the idea that I can turn off the USB ports as I want to avoid keep powering the devices continuously. I had hard time to decide in between this one and new version (ASIN B083XRJXSD) but I am happy with my decision.

This little power cube works perfectly for my purposes with a couple of power plugs to spare. I only need to plug in my laptop and occasionally another device, so three plugs are more than enough. I do have three USB devices, and this thing has enough power to do all three at the same time. I have one USB device that needs 2.4 amps which is working perfectly along with the other two devices plugged in. The switch on top to turn off the USB ports work well.
It doesn’t have an on/off switch for the main power which some people might find inconvenient if you aren’t using it for travel. Mine is installed permanently because I just wanted the small form factor compared to my other power strip. I just plugged it into a TP-Link smart plug and now my Google Home turns it off and on as needed. Really pleased with this so far, but I can’t comment on long term use yet, since I just got it today.

This was a great idea but….
It’s not rated for over seas 240v 🙁
I have several Anker PowerPort Strips. Love them and I even take them in my luggage bag when traveling over seas and use it with an appropriate adapter to charge my iPhone and usb devices. Then I have other AC plugs available to use things like steamer, camera charger, laptop etc. as long as those are rated for 240v as well.
This new PowerPort Cube is NOT rated 120/240. Bummer!
I’m not sure why they missed this important feature as this PowerPort Cube is smaller and more travel friendly than the PowerPort Strip.
It would have been perfect if it also did 240v
Update – I have contacted Anker and their quality engineer said that there have verified that the PowerPort Cube can work with input voltage 90V – 264V. For travel use, PowerPort Cube is designed to be compatible with all standard wall outlet voltages worldwide. (See photo).
About the input–125V/10A located on the product and specification, it is the standard design for the US. In addition, according to the new changes in FCC(Federal Communications Commission) certification requirements, we are not allowed to print “90V – 264V” on the product itself. That’s why it’s different from the previous power strips. However, the function works the same.
So… yes it can be used overseas as long as you have the appropriate plug adapter for the plug end of the PowerPort cube. Just remember if you use it this way, don’t forget that if you plug anything into the cube in this fashion, the device you plug in would need to be capable of 240 V also. This is not a converter. The USB outputs will work fine.
Anker and their customer service is awesome!

With this all I need to find is one plug and I can power all 6 of my devices..
Comes with 3 outlets and 3 USB A ports. With this power cube I can recharge my laptop, use two charge bricks to fast charge my work and personal iPhones at 18W each, and use the 3 USB ports to connect my headphones, watch and power bank battery. Perfect for those times when you are on the road and need to set up a workspace like in an airport on a layover, board room for a marathon meeting or hotel room at the end of the day.
Comes with a sticker so you can mount it on the underside of a desk, I stuck it to a magnet so I can stick it to a wall to keep it up and out of the way.

If the plug were flat, I would have given this 5 stars. As is it’s still very useful, but may not work for every situation. I love having USB charging ports available nearby as even 6′ USB cables aren’t always long enough.
One feature I wasn’t aware of is that the USB charging ports are off until a button is pushed on the power strip (which will then be illuminated with a blue light). They always default to the “off” position, so since I didn’t know the button existed, I was initially concerned that I received a defective unit.

I have come to ❤️ Anker products…. and no, I haven’t received any of their products for free or to review 🙂
Here you have a compact cube on a 5ft odd wire (3 power ports) with some surge protection…… and (I wll test it tonight) with one small blue light which emits light IF you wish to use the USB ports (3 of them) overnight. A small round power button at those ports will nullify that “light pollution” (and power to the USB ports) if you so wish.
I would say it’s a 75% improvement on the bulky, heavy light emitting power extenders we used before this, bedside.
If you like minimalistic light products for a better night’s rest, these should work 👍. However, Inam also adding a “light dim sticker” on the button (which will remain functional) as to make it a zero light emission power hub.

Had this for about a month. I just missed the return window. Yesterday it spark and burnt a plug. I am loyal Anker customer but this has me disappointed.

Update:
AnkerDirect contacted me about why I was unhappy with the product, which is not how my review should be interpreted. I do like the product as is and it is not extremely revolutionary but I would simply prefer a black color version and if possible tweak the design a bit to have a flat plug so that it is flat against the wall instead of pointing out. Their customer service is great and is one of the reasons why I enjoy Anker and their products. With electronics and cables, you get what you pay for and Anker does its best to make sure the consumer gets true value in their products.
This frame/idea of a powerstrip has been done before but in tower form, but it being small and compact means it can be tucked away easy. With other power strips, some ports are blocked by the power bricks that come with certain devices, the cube solves that and more with the 3 included usb ports. I just wish it had an angled plug instead of one that sticks out. Also, Anker, when is this coming out in black?

#1 It does not charge my phone rapidly – takes hours to charge. The indication about smart charging made me feel it did rapid charging.
#2 It does not complete the charging of my battery pack. For some reason battery packs (esp Ubiolabs sold by Costco) shows as charging forever. All other chargers stop the charging indicator in the battery pack when it is fully charged.
#3 This is the most serious flaw. I bought this for travel (also international travel). The power button switched to off when there is a brief power outage. This is a painful thing. You put the phone on charge the night and next day morning you find that the phone is not charged since it switched off on a brief power outage happened in the night.
Due to these flaws, I cannot recommend this product. I am thinking of returning this. I hope I did not trash the original package.

I was charging my phone through the USB port using my Anker 6-foot type C cord when I saw smoke coming out and I immediately tried to unplug it, my phone was so hot that I couldn’t even hold it and the bottom was melting! I managed to unplug it and saw the tip of the Anker cord burnt as well as the charger part of my phone. I’ve been buying Anker product for a bit now and this is very disappointing.
