This bento box is nice and sturdy despite being made form sustainable materials! The lid is a lock lid and is leak proof, but not between compartments. It is nice that it comes with a fork, but I’d prefer the design to be more sealed between compartments. Also, the way the fork rests in the container leaves the handle over the largest compartment. In my case thats where the bulk of my meal goes, so the fork handle can get messy. The box is deep enough that you can easily find small containers for dressing, apple sauce, etc. It fits in my kid’s lunch box but without room for anything else (like a water bottle). I will probably use it more for myself than the kids. I am happy to have such a nice container for summertime picnics and pool trips!

I have been a bento user for many years. I have used a variety of styles from two tier stackables to flat 3 compartment to lunch tower vacuum bottles. I am always up for trying new bento products. The MissBig Bento Box is big! When I filled it, there was enough in there for 2 days of lunch! I think it would be very easy to put several of the small bento cups in the compartment to keep any food separate from each other. The box material has a nice natural look to it but is in fact very smooth. The lid seals tightly. Although it doesn’t keep 100% of the liquid from getting into the adjoining space, it absolutely keeps liquid in the box and doesn’t soak your backpack or bag. I didn’t think I was going to like the fork as it looked small and weirdly straight. However, it surprised me by easily piercing cherry tomatoes and being comfortable to eat with. I thought it was very neat how the fork fits neatly secured by 2 notches in the dividers! I used soy sauce and mustard in my lunch but the box cleaned easily and looked like new. I would definitely recommend the MissBig Bento Box, especially for older children and adults as it holds plenty to fill you up at school/work!

I got two of these bento boxes, one in beige and one in purple, so my husband and I won’t confuse each other’s lunch when we grab it from the fridge. They seem well made with a secure lid (has a clasp on each side). The size is comparable to a Pyrex 3 cup rectangular glass container, but taller with 3 compartments. It’s nice to have the flavors of different food separately esp if you’ve got a saucy/wet side vs a dry one. Think marinara sauce vs garlic bread sitting together for hours. Would recommend this for anyone who needs to bring lunch (or dinner). It’ll be good for storing small amounts of leftovers too without needing 3 different tupperwares too.

I hate to write any negative reviews, and trust me, I allow time to pass after using any product daily or almost daily before posting an honest review. We bought this for my daughters lunch and have been using weekly for the past 2 months, since its dishwasher safe, we always put it there to sanitize etc. well now its grown some mold in one of the compartments and I will end up throwing it away and buying a Planet Box stainless steel one or similar. What a waste of money. I obviously will not use it any longer for my 5 year old’s lunch.

I really love that this bento box is made from recycled materials. It’s a great size and very sturdy, comes with a great little fork that fits inside the closed box. The box as a whole is leak proof, but there is space between each interior compartment, so if you have runny food, it will leak to the other compartments. I plan to use this for myself, rather than for my
Kids’ lunches.

This bento box is exactly what I was looking for! I’ve attached a video demonstrating it’s size.
My son is starting preschool this month and will be bringing his lunch, and many of the kids size bento boxes I’ve looked at seemed pretty small. My little guy has a big appetite, and this bento box will fit his sandwich perfectly, and leave plenty of room for two additional sides/snacks.
It seems well made and sturdy, and the lid clicks securely on top. I will update this review if durability becomes a problem, but it looks like this product will be perfect for our needs.

So glad to have this box- my kiddos feel so cool with their organized snacks/lunches. The box is a nice depth so that quite a lot can fit inside yet stay compact. I really like the lid- we have had several different lids like this over the years but the kids couldn’t open or close them by themselves. This one they can!! Huge WIN!!!!!! Love that the fork fits inside as well- I don’t have to keep track of utensils in the car or in my purse. It keeps nice and clean and one last thing to keep track of! Would buy it again! PS- also love that it is sustainably made- wonderful!!! No need for baggies anymore either!!

Bought this for my son and test packed it the same day while he took his bentokids brand. The compartments are huge which would be good for my own lunch, but not for my preschooler. I think I received a faulty one, since the lid locks, but it opened on its own…. I tried to lock it again a bit harder but even with the slightest amount of pressure upwards, the lock came undone so easily. It only happened on one side, so I can see how it’s supposed to function, just doesn’t on one lock. For that reason, I will not let my kids use it to take lunch. Seems like I’ll use it to take for outings where I can assure it won’t be flipped during transportation. Love that it can fit the full size sandwich
