These are really nice, well built, and sort-of thought out monitors. I bought 2 to play video games and multitask to be my daily drivers. The panels are flat, and they have almost no light bleed! I was very happy about that. But when I loaded everyone’s favourite game, Warzone, i thought something was wrong. Everywhere I looked, i felt like i had motion bluring going on, and pretty bad bluring at that.
I ran a test with blur busters, and then recorded a slow-motion video of my screen while dragging a window at a relatively slow pace. The GHOSTING is AWFUL. These monitors do not deserve the word ‘Gaming’ anywhere in the context when talking about these panels. Don’t take my word for it, just watch the video. Avoid them for anything where it involves moving things on your screen.
TLDR: Ghosting is a huge problems with these monitors, not good for gaming or even casual use.

The colors of the monitor looked great, although mine that I got had a motion issue, where it had excessive blur and it looked odd to the eye, I’ve been using 144 hz monitors for a while now, and this one felt off to me. If I would’ve gotten a better monitor, maybe I would’ve kept it but it is what it is.

The image quality is fine and it’s got good colors, but there must be issues with Quality Control or shipping because I have a nice cluster of dead pixels on the bottom left of the screen

I went from using a 75 inch tv to this for gaming and it made all the difference. I know most people like curved ones but this one works beautifully. 12/10 would recommend

The display is excellent quality

is it just me or is this monitor very bark compared to other gaming monitors?

Could be a decent monitor, but the panel is not good. There is an absurd amount of ghosting. While high refresh rate, the monitor struggles hard in all modes to provide an image that doesn’t look like constant motion blur.
Even for a casual minecraft experience, this panel does not provide a good experience

A pretty unremarkable monitor from Samsung. While advertised as being a gaming monitor, there are far better options available around the same price – ones that offer the latest port standards, IPS panels, and brighter displays, all without the backlight bleed that this monitor suffers from. The Odyssey G3 does bring some high than average contrast, but without a brighter display its pretty much wasted.
TL;DR – Nothing to see here, folks. Move along…

PROS:
* Great contrast ratio, 4x that seen in most monitors at this price .
* The stand offers a tremendous range of adjustment along with a stable base.
* Design is sleek, and the nearly bevel-free display looks nice.
* Great response time.
* Nice color.
* AMD FreeSync Premium available to thhose using AMD graphics Cards
CONS:
* Brightness leaves quite a bit to be desired. This alone is enough for me to cast aside this monitor if I were considering it for a new purchase (especially for gaming!)
* 27 inches at only 1920x1080p is simply too darn big and pixelated (again, especially for gaming! or anything else really)
* 144Hz isn’t anything to write home about these days, for gaming or otherwise.
* BACKLIGHT BLEED …grrrr. Really can’t believe we still have to deal with brand new monitors having so much bleed around the edges in 2021.
* No HDR
* NO DISPLAY PORT 1.4 …instead you’re stuck with ver 1.2, which doesn’t support any of the incredible features that came with versions 1.4 and beyond. an’t remember the last time I saw a gaming monitor with such an outdated DP version
* D-SUB port…um, yes…seriously. Most of you probably don’t even know what kind of input that is. EXACTLY.
* no outputs.
* VA panel
BOTTOM LINE:
Look, this is an okay monitor. But if you’re in the market for a gaming monitor in 2021 this one doesn’t qualify as an option you shouuld be considering. Honestly, at $250(ish) I’m not sure there is a target demographic or suitable use case for this thing. Mediocre, outdated, and not nearly bright enough. The stand is nice, I’ll give it that. But its not hard to find better options at this price, and I can’t thinkk of a price I’d be willing to actually pay for this monitor. 3-stars because it does technically fulfill its role as a monitor.

They should have made it clear that no speakers were in this monitor, I’d forgotten that many monitors are built without speakers.

Easily adjust height fir more ergo desk. Has display port. Easy set up. Check dimensions of base to ensure enough desk space, a bit larder base, but with features, it is a very good value.

I don’t know how this monitor is used or manufactured at all. Maybe because of ratio of Bigger screen than 24 inch and low price, But the aspect for the screen size and it’s resolution is not at all worth it. I better recommend 24 inch FHD than 27 inch and also other companies than Samsung. Because, though monitors are used mostly for entertainment and gaming and also work, I believe monitor is mainly for gaming and work rather than TV. This looks like a lowest resolution old TV reduced size. I bought this for work mainly which I need in vertical as well. It is terrible to read any text in this monitor. Every text is blurred and weird oh god hurts my eyes. Samsung has great TVs but I am not going to prefer a monitor of Samsung again. I made a biggest mistake and purchasing a 4k LG monitor.
