I have searched the Internet for women’s COTTON cable sweaters. I mean searched for months. I wanted a solid color. No wool or wool blend. Not cashmere. Just old fashion cotton. These sweaters are a good quality and an affordable price. I ordered the camel turtleneck today as the website said there were only 2 left.
The first time I ordered the cotton cable sweater I ordered 2 sizes XS and S. I am 5’3” 110 lbs. The website said my fit would be XS (but in other brands such as Gap, Loft, Talbots etc. I’m a small).
Amazon’s True Fit was correct with the XS, particularly through the shoulders and chest. It’s a little longer than I usually like, but I’ve lost weight and it is slimming over the hips. Some may find the neck too high, but I have a longer neck. The neck isn’t tight either. I haven’t had any pulls in the yarn or pilling under the arms or sides.
I own the cotton cable CREWNECK in gray XS and also ordered it in camel. Will decide if I want the camel in the crew or turtleneck. Maybe keep both? Red might be nice for the holidays.
I wash in cold water and throw in the dryer for about 7-10 min, then lay flat to dry.
I’m hoping the reviews and popularity will lead Amazon to look into additional colors for next season. Teal, royal blue, olive, goldenrod? Just a few more colors?
Prime is always a plus, and Amazon makes it very easy to return.

I usually buy size large in sweaters, so I went for the large in this one. It fits perfect. I like the bulky knit sweaters to fit a little loose and this one works well for me. It is nice and long and will be great for jeans or casual slacks. It is a nice medium weight and looks well made. I have not worn it yet but I did wash it on gentle and put it in dryer on damp dry. It came out perfect. I think I will be buying one in another color.

El diseño del jersey es precioso. El típico de ochos de cuello vuelto. Queda más bien tirando a largo, como por debajo de la cadera.
Normalmente uso la 38-40 y pedí la talla S y me queda bien, pero he comprobado que las tallas de Amazon essentials tiran a grandes. En otra marca hubiera pedido una M, pero como ya he dicho, acerté con la S.
No le doy las 5 estrellas porque me lo esperaba algo más abrigadito, pero es como de hilo de algodón, no tiene nada de lana.
He echado en falta alguna instrucción de lavado, porque sólo pone la talla, la marca y que está fabricado en China…🤷🏻♀️. Así que espero que no encoja, aunque como da talla, tampoco sería un drama😂, porque lo único es que me quedaría más ajustado . Por si acaso, agua fría y Bien fe suavizante para que siga esponjoso como ahora.
Lo compré en crema y es como la foto.
Muy contenta con la compra y por tanto 100% recomendable.

This is my 3rd purchase of this jumper, I’ve got the black, navy and the dark grey absolute must have, really comfy to wear and will be ordering more colours as thos is a staple for the autumn winter months

I find it very hard to find polo neck jumpers I like, usually the necks are too baggy and don’t cover your neck properly, this one is just right, lovely fitting neck and is just the right length.

I SO DESPERATELY WANTED A FISHERMAN/NAUTICAL SWEATER LIKE THIS ONE! But every store… so pricey! So I did a lot of review reading before getting this (and 3 others). Don’t hesitate like I did. I borrowed my much wealthier sister’s cream colored one and had to have my own. I asked here where it was from and how much?
She said, “Land’s End and I don’t know how much, I never look.” Rich people problems lol. These sweaters are the exact same quality, weight, color, pattern as the land’s end ones! I even considered buying a land’s end one worried about the quality of these that was on clearance for 2 times as much. The Land’s End original price is $69.95 (and up). They are softer than expected, weigh is not too heavy, colors are vibrant and don’t bleed, ARE NOT AT ALL ITCHY, and don’t stretch out in an unflattering way after more than one day of wear. I got big complements when wearing them and I brag that I got them for as little as $20. I got 2 turtle neck ones in Navy and Charcoal and 2 crew neck in cream and Navy. I wish there was more winter left so I could wear them more now! I know lots of people have had meh experiences with clothes from amazon. But if it is Amazon Basics (like this sweater) you needn’t worry! OMG, buy one you will love it as much if not more! Buh-bye land’s end. This teacher is sooooo over the moon. I bought this sweater, hoping it was a decent weight and not too big. I am 5’8 and about 190 and the XXL I bought feels a tad too big, but I bought a size bigger in case the sweater shrinks (I haven’t washed it yet). It has a nice weight to it, not thin, but not so heavy that you feel the weight. The blue is as pictured. So far so good. This is the second Amazon Essentials piece I bought and I am satisfied.

I am wearing it now, we picked up the Christmas pudding ingredients from Sainsbury click and collect, clocked onto my 94 year old Mums’ place with one to replace her broken one in her bedroom, again courtesy of Amazon. As I type this the fit is snug enough to tempt me to start playing and singing my electric Yamaha piano purchased last year for my Birthday by my Son…Jingle Bells…Jingle BELLS!” Linda Willis.

Update: I really liked this sweater in light grey, I ordered one in each color in medium and found the sizing greatly varied. I ended up sending 4 of the six back. It’s a great sweater but I suggest ordering a size down and a maybe two sizes down and see which fits best because each one was different, up to 4 inches different on the sleeve length and over three inches on the hemline, that’s a lot. I give it 5 stars when you get the right size but three stars for very inconsistent sizing. Returns are easy though.
This is a very soft cotton sweater in a medium weight, it’s not a super thick cable knit, like one I have from Amazons Meraki line, which is very very thick and chunky cable, my favorite turtleneck! This one is nice though, it runs large, I wear a large most of the time but this was too big and I had to exchange them for medium. I’m 5’9” 160lbs small bust for reference. I have it in a crew neck in medium and it fits perfectly, so unless your very large busted or like super oversized sweaters then I would recommend going down a size to look like it does on the model. These are nicely made and they washed beautifully on cold delicate layed flat to dry, no shrinking. Pretty sweater, love the light grey!

OMG I was not expecting to love this sweater as much as I do! It is really well-made. Surprising the quality of a cotton cable knit sweater it’s the real deal not just a weird material with the design on it this is actually a knit sweater for this price! The quality seems like it should be double the price. But please keep it at this price so I can get more colors! LOL! It runs true to size medium is my usual size. Fits great! I’m 5’6” tall,145 pounds and 34B chest. Not itchy at all it is a cotton feeling. And the turtle neck does not choke either. Love!

I am impressed! Fits perfectly, 5’8″ 190 & an XL fits loosely, not baggy, hits mid-hip. High quality knit and stitching, cable is on frint, back and arms. Band fits just snugly enough at wrists. I love the rich camel brown color. I highly recommend it.

It’s an ok sweater but it doens’t look or feel as nicely as I expected. It is not a super soft or warm sweater. I would rather pay more for better quality. Returned.
