I bought this gift as a Christmas present. I then had issues redeeming the code and the issue could not be resolved by the 3rd party vendor nor Amazon. I had to make a second purchase of the product.

Nightmare. Ordered for my daughter and downloaded to her origin account. However although it indicates she owns it, she can’t access content. Amazon refused to refund. Referred me to EA (creator). On the phone with EA rep for nearly 45 minutes and he said there appears to be an issue with the application and they’d get back to me. Surprise, surprise – no return call. Daughter owns many Sims4 games and this has never happened before. Waste of time & money.

The game was FANTASTIC and deserves 5 stars. I’m giving this product in particular 4 though because of amazon. It took a little over an hour for amazon to give me the download code. I paid using a gift card and all went well but it took an hour for the code to appear in my amazon digital downloads folder thing

The code does not work in origin…. I cannot find help or a way to get my money back!!!!

You’re buying the expansion only. The base game is not included.
You get a product code quickly, and it works through Origin, but it is only for the expansion pack and doesn’t include the base game. You can’t see or download the expansion pack unless you have the base game. The base game is only $5 on origin, so it wasn’t a stretch to buy it. However, this is false advertisement as the product description clearly states that it includes the base game. EA customer service (who manages Origin games), was very polite and stated that was an Amazon issue. As the product description also stated that it was non-refundable, I didn’t bother to try. I just bought the game from Origin for an extra $5. It works fine and had the expansion that I purchased through Amazon already included from the redeemable code.
My kid is playing it as we speak and loves the game.

This expansion is actually pretty fun (for the acting path)! You can actually go on set and see your rise to fame. It takes a bit of time to get to the higher rankings of stardom but it’s interactive so I think it’s cool. Although, in real life there are so many other ways to get famous like being a musician that weren’t really a focus in this expansion.

This adds great content to the game. However, the ads for this make it seem much more interactive than it really is. It’s slow to progress in the game especially without cheat codes. You will audition for a role and two to three days later you will act. The acting roles are completed in steps such as go to makeup and wardrobe, eat lunch, interact with producers or cast members, etc. there is no autonomy for the acting roles just click on what you’re supposed to do and then your Sim completes the task.

I didn’t buy this pack for a long time because it’s not something I would normally be interested in, but I’m glad I finally did! Increasing your Sim’s fame and dealing with the repercussions of their actions on a bigger scale adds a whole new dimension to the game. I’m especially a fan of the video editor/streamer additions that this pack brings, as I think it’s a great way to bring in more money without your Sim having to leave the house.
