If I could do zero stars, I would. The watch itself is attractive. However, when I got it, I wore it once and it does. So I went to a jeweler and had the battery replaced. It died again the next day. I highly suggest you don’t buy this watch.

So disappointed. The case is plastic. The straps are loose. I have other Bulova watches and they don’t compare to this piece of crap. How dare you Amazon!

Fantastic watch! Got plenty of compliments for the looks. The glass is resistant enough for daily wear. The leather is very smooth and soft – I like it because no more damaged shirt sleeves, plus it feels very nice against the skin.
The seconds hand is a little bit off (by 0.5 mm), but otherwise for this money it can easily be the best understated elegant dress watch one can get.

Smaller than expected..but that’s not the reason for the lower rating…
the second hand stalls between the 2 and 4 marks. its seems to act like a low battery??
but I can tap the top and the second hand continues; I can reset the time and upon pressing the key back in; its starts moving again.
I would like to see a rating for single purchases and once replaced , rate the new item based upon it merits… It seems to combine the rating of the old replaced item and the new; that does not seem fair…

This Bulova classic watch is so attractive (or hansom it is a man’s watch) in it’s simplicity that it will enhance anything you are wearing, I wore it with a denim shirt and black chinos and anytime it peeked from under the cuff I heard “that’s a nice watch”.
I have owned Bulova watches for a long time now and I know they are rugged, the first one I got was my everyday watch for a couple of years and it is still ticking, I don’t wear it much anymore because the collection grew from 3 units to over 30 and they all need to play. The one thing I know for sure is that they can take a hard life and still look good year down the road!
I recommend this watch for the looks now and for the hope it will be as long lasting and rugged as my other Bulovas.

Purchased October 3 2016, stopped working October 2019. This Bulova is a disgrace, light use new battery still won’t run. My father was a watchmaker and he would be appalled at what has happened to be beloved company. Sad…

I picked this up for £50 during the prime sale and I would rate this 3.5 stars. Its nice. But just a little too small for a men’s watch in my opinion.
If the face was slightly wider i would love it.

So you want a simple watch at a simple price point. You’ve gone online and looked at: Leonard & Church, Daniel Wellington, Brathwait, MVMT and maybe a few others. You see you can pay a price point as low as $100 and cont’ on up to over $300 ++. I did buy one of the previous mentioned watches, it was a handsome watch for sure, but it screams “I look pretty and I’m on a website full of beautiful people, I must make you feel you are worth it!”….. Ok, let’s get real, if I could justify redistributing my wealth, I’d buy at a minimum the Rolex Cellini or something even more exclusive. But because I’m just like the average joe who realizes they need a grown up dress watch, I don’t need to “Show My Class, Like an Ass”. So here I’m at my favorite retailer, AMAZON and I’m doing the ‘filter’ thing and I come across this Bulova watch…. Didn’t my grandfather have great pride in his “Accutron” watch by Bulova back in 1963 and here’s that same classic look for all of $87 by Bulova today in 2016. I picked it up with free Prime delivery and it arrives 2 days later. My first impression…. Simple and just what I was looking for dressing up my wrist, with out trying to make any more of a statement than: “This watch looks good on me and with what I’m wearing.”… The one con: I’m going to have to buy a better quality band, the one it came with will let me enjoy it right away, but I don’t believe it will last more than a year or so. So understanding that yes, the rich do have their philanthropic duty to purchase $25,000 dollar watches, I on the other hand look just as good in my Grand Fathers Bulova….. Anyone want to go to Dairy Queen tonight for a tasty treat?

Horrible; the backside of the metal case, where the straps are attached, protrude having also a rather sharp angle that makes it inconvenient to wear. Since I bought almost a year ago, I only wore it a few times. I do Not recommend.

I bought this watch three-and-a-half years ago. About six months later, it stopped. I assumed it was the battery, and I took it to Kay Jewelers for a new one. That was a lucky choice because they gave a lifetime battery warranty. About six months later, it needed another battery. A watch battery should last a year or two. For whatever reason, this watch seems to wear them out. Kay Jewelers has put in five or six batteries. The last time it stopped, a week or two ago, I got a new battery as usual. It ran about three hours and then stopped. I reset it and it started again, and then. . . stopped after a few more hours. It’s been doing that ever since. It may run fine for as long as twelve hours, or it may only run for thirty minutes before it stops again. About all Kay Jewelers can suggest is to send it back to the manufacturer for a repair estimate. Ah yes, I bought it three-and-a-half years ago and the warranty is for three years. So I bought another watch instead, a Citizen. Bulova was once a great American brand. If my experience is any indication, it no longer is. Caveat Emptor.

I love this watch. The one word that would describe this watch is elegant. The band is nice quality and flexible not stiff. The watch also came in a high quality box.I highly recommend this watch, you will not regret it.
