I absolutely love these bottles because they are sooo much easier to clean then dr.brown bottles ! My son loved these and I thought he wasnt because of the nipple but he actually got used to it like i never changed it . Only bad thing is you cant let the bottles sit for too long because the milk will stick to the rubber parts and it will look so nasty and you will have to throw them out :/ these are definitely a hit or miss when it comes to bottle leaking when you use them without the green piece and these are supposed to be able to be used both ways ! The hole in the bottle is a larger size wich is perfect for when you add formula because you dont have to worry about it being to small just dump in and shake

I’ll start with saying, these are the only bottles that do at least help to decrease my baby’s reflux.
Down sides to these bottles, since they are plastic they will eventually absorb soap if you use a sticky soap like Dawn. Definitely use a baby bottle soap to help decrease this from happening. With cleaning as well, you need to rinse these bottles almost immediately after feeding, or else formula or breast milk builds up in all the small spaces and extra indents that Avent puts into the air vent and nipple. I have to use a toothbrush most of the time to get these bottles clean, even after rinsing. No matter what Avent advertises, the nipple does not stay full of milk if these is anything less then 2oz in the bottle.

I liked these bottles (when they worked) but have since decided not to purchase this brand again, especially after comparing to Dr. Browns. The insert that helps with minimizing air bubbles cracked… not on just one of the bottles but on every single one after a month of use. I also didn’t enjoy that you have to hold the bottle at a certain angle for the air bubble mechanism to work. When it’s the middle of the night and you’re making a bottle, it’s easy to forget! They have a handy dent on the bottom of the bottle where you can line up the insert so you can feel it in the dark to know you’re holding it correctly, which is great, unless you’re exhausted and forgot to line it up when making the bottle! I did this many times. Now I use Dr. Browns and there isn’t a need to line up anything. Also, my baby eats his bottle SO FAST now that we use Dr. Browns.

I really wanted to like these bottles, so much so that I purchased too many under the assumption that we would just use these as our primary bottles. I have experienced some issues listed below.
– Bottle leaks around the rim – Nipple is too large for smaller baby mouths – Some of the colic inserts do not fit properly/snugly
Based on those problems, I would not recommend these. My child seems to like the Dr. Browns bottles more. We will eventually be switching to those.

I bought the bottle just for the advertisement on how you can hold down the bottle so that the formula flows into the nipple for horizontal feeding. It flows back into the bottle and does not stay fully in the nipple area which any bottle pretty much does. I thought this technique will hold the formula totally in the nipple area so that i can hold the bottle straight while feeding my baby in the car seat and it doesnt. This was the only reason why i even got it.

I’ve always used Avent, was pointed in the wrong direction to use another brand and regretted it fully. Don’t cheap out on your bottles for your babies or on anything in general. Your babies deserve the best and for us these are it!

My baby is 4 months old. We’ve tried Mam (fine, but too many pieces, and they leaked when I didn’t put them on correctly), the other Avent (leaked out the sides of his mouth), Nuk (they’re okay), and Tommy Tippie (also ok.) Baby seems to like these best- smaller nipple, less mess, and hes trying to hold them. I like the ease of cleaning and fewer pieces to assemble. I can also use these with my spectra pump without an adapter which is a plus!

I was very disappointed to see that once I disassembled the parts to clean before sterilizing I discovered that 3 of the green air flow pieces were cracked. Two of them cracked down the middle and one piece cracked on the side! I needed these bottles right away so I did not return them but I’m very upset that I not only received one but three broken parts! It’s unacceptable and irritating that now I have to find where I can buy just those pieces! I provided pictures so that you can all see what I’m talking about and know where to check before using. If I was able I would have returned these right away but like I said I needed these asap so I used the bottle just not the air flow pieces! If you purchase, buyer beware.
