I originally got this because my crappy headset mic died, and in the Covid era, I’m using my voice in zoom meetings and group chats so much more than I ever did. I didn’t need much, but this was an incredible option for the price, and I can push it aside when I’m not using it, unlike my old boom mic.

This thing is pretty awesome. My husband says I sound like a radio personality on it, and he liked it so much, I had to buy one for him. For the price, I can’t recommend it enough.

So I figured I would start this review off by saying that I am a professional audio engineer and have been for quite some time and I am relatively picky about microphones.

I purchased this microphone with one particular application in mind and that was for my daughter’s Virtual School classes. They have live room chats everyday and the webcam that we had purchased for my daughter’s older computer had a built-in microphone that on full blast in the Windows audio settings would barely even show up in the sound meter. No one could hear anything that she said so I decided to try and find an alternative microphone on a budget that would have great sound quality for the budget so that everyone could hear her clearly.

This microphone definitely made a huge difference as it seems to have a very high output. With the volume only at 40% in Windows it maxed out the level indicator and my daughter could be very easily heard with the microphone 2 feet away from her.

The sound quality though honestly is really surprising. It’s substantially better than I would expect for 30 bucks and I would say that it honestly Rivals a lot of other microphones did advertise similar specs, clearly breaking the mold of what is expected from microphones in the sub $100 territory. As a matter of fact as someone who genuinely despises USB microphones outside of video game chats and whatnot, I would not hesitate to purchase this microphone again.

I would say this microphone would do very well with podcasting, gaming chats, and vocal demos , and clearly does everything we had hoped and more for virtual learning applications

This mic has a great sound and can be very clear, but it picks up absolutely EVERY sound. There’s no mute button, no software to adjust threshold etc. Tried using this for gaming/streaming but it’s just not possible. A mouse could sniffle and this thing would pick it up and blast it through the speakers as though it was a dragon. I could hear my housemates downstairs talking in the playback – not just a little bit either, their full conversation. Through 4 walls. Also not even an exaggeration, literally 4 walls. If you’re using this in a fully sound proofed room with 0 backround input this might be ideal – general use however, just be wary. I understand the price kinda reflects the lack of features, but it also isn’t dirt cheap to the point you can’t even adjust threshold. I think that’s a real shame.

Tonor TC30 is a great usb condenser microphone for the money. I paid $29 for this microphone and I’m happy with the performance. This microphone is really sensitive. I recommend using this microphone with low input volume level. Good for YouTube, Live stream and podcast. Also comes with everything you need. You don’t need an audio interface. Just plug and play. Stop by my YouTube channel and ask me anything you want. Thanks YouTube.com/TechTunerLife

I bought this mic because like many people, I’m working from home, and Zoom/WebEx/Microsoft Teams calls are a daily occurrence. While the sound from my earbuds mic was adequate, it sounded awful and echo-y to me, so I wanted badly to improve my audio setup. This mic does an EXCELLENT job, and was extremely easy to set up, literally plug and play. It’s very sensitive, so the ideal setup is to have it on its-shock absorbing stand on your desk, about 8 inches to a foot away from you, and just talk naturally. Seriously. If your mouth is right up on the mic (or even on the included pop filter), then you’re too close.

The result is a very crisp, clean sound. This mic will help you sound amazing in podcasts, video recordings and conference calls.

This Tonor TC30 mic has exceeded my expectations! You simply plug it into a USB port and it’s ready to use. The pop filter screen is a nice addition to cut down on unwanted sounds in your recordings. I love it’s small size so it doesn’t take up too much room. It has a tripod and a knob where you can adjust the angle of the mic. Perfect size to sit on a tabletop for recording. The audio quality was better than expected! It seems to pick up sounds well, even from a few feet away. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this mic for my audio projects. This product was provided free in exchange for a fair, unbiased review.

I’ve had this microphone for 48 hours. I use it for conference calls on my PC with Teams and Zoom. In approximately 50% of my meetings, the sound quality on the microphone would deteriorate to the point that it sounded as though I was one of the people on 60 minutes with my face blurred out and voice altered. I should have learned my lesson after it happened twice during important calls, but I did not, and it happened a few more times before I finally gave up and went back to a headset. Disappointing.

**Update** – I returned the original product and got a replacement. I have the same issue with the 2nd one. I’ll be returning this and trying another product.

I cannot recommend this microphone more highly – I’d been trying to avoid yet another piece of equipment to help me work from home, but in the end, the decision to buy a USB microphone was forced upon me. But which one? Because I’ve spent loads on other recording equipment, one of the main issues for me was budget – which I type with a heavy heart, but I tend to rank product quality over price. So I read this review and that review and in the end, when I had to decide, I went for this one – and wow. I’m no sound expert but I know enough to spot background droning, muffly voice, crackling and skipping recordings. Despite it being less than £30, the reproduction is spot on – I’ve never heard recorded audio so clear before. The only reason why I’m on here giving feedback in the evening when this mic arrived this afternoon is because I’m raving about it and in a good way. If you’re in the market for a USB microphone, then don’t hesitate with this – even if budget is not an issue, trust me – you won’t get better from this beauty, and it’s less than 30 quid? Buy it and you won’t look back – but put a slot in your diary to write a product review afterwards, because you’lll be raving like me.

I’m always looking for a good value in microphones as I often need to record lots of audio for various professional purposes. This one I think provides a good balance of quality and value. I’ve had a really good experience using it for recording a variety of different things.

    Pros
    —————–
Nice build and easy to setup
I like the built in pop filter, makes the microphone much more usable for vocal recording
The stand is useful also, it’s nice that you can detach the bottom to mount it on a different stand
    Clear sound and vocal reproduction

    Cons
    —————-
Doesn’t have a mute or gain adjustment on the microphone. You’ll need to make those changes through your computer. Mute would be a great addition to the microphone especially in e-learning scenarios.
